Lt. Brookman This game has the worst voice acting. The Ultra Marines sound like Yankee cowboys for ******** sake. If I can get past the bad voices I'll give the PSP version another whirl. Edit. No. No I can't. You fraggers may now invoke Godwin's law. Mac you can never get past bad voice acting to play an otherwise decent game try turning the voices of or somthing

I hereby declare Mac to be over reacting. I picked this game up when I stopped in main. It has some pretty solid gameplay and is quite fun. A easy to learn control scheme. Loadouts for you unit are always pretty much the same though. Pretty much take what gonne deal out the most damage and roll with it.

Americans are immune to their own silly accents.

Lt. Brookman Mat Also, it makes sense to me. Americans are immune to their own silly accents. Not true! Some Americans cannot stand certain voices for dubs and stuff. EXAMPLE: Narutard. His voice is freaking annoying as hell. Yet those damnable loyalist still hang on to him... I didnt even know this game was out lol. Its for the DS also you said right?

Americans are immune to their own silly accents. Got home yesterday. And you said they sound like cowboys. I dont even detect a hint of a southern accent. I agree their voice is inarguably americanised. But its not like they are saying. Y'all Chaos marines is a gonna die. And yes it is for DS as well but I do not know if the DS version has been released yet.

Just picked this up for the DS the other day. I have to say, while it's an okay tactics game, it's not a particularly interesting experience. It's kind of like playing Kill Team if the brute squads were separated out into one man teams and they all started the game active. Targeting is kind of buggy, and while the convenient laser dot helps place exactly where you want to shoot, your missiles will occasionally for no apparent reason, change course and plow into the ground well before reaching the spot you were aiming for. Sound is okay as far as explosions and weapons go, voices are garbled and muddy, and music is nonexistent.
Graphics are... well not good. I've seen all those lovely online videos of gameplay and cut scenes; those are all on the PSP, which looks way better. The DS version not only has crappier gameplay graphics, but it's cut scenes are little more than moving cardboard sprites, unlike the videos of FMV that I can only assume are from the PSP version. As far as story... My Kill Team analogy pops up again, because your average game of Kill Team has more story than this game. 'Chaos is invading, Marines, stop them!' is pretty much the entirety of the story. No epic background, not so much as the name of the planet. Frankly, if you really want this game, buy it used or when it drops to a bargain price. I bought it when it dropped to $20, and I may have overpaid.
