Josie's lips formed into a grin, her eyes narrowing as she leaned in close. "Because it isn't your time to die. I know when that is...and what will happen if you don't let me set that wrist of yours. So let me fix it, and you'll live to face your personal demons another day. I don't want to see your soul at my gates by Avedis's hands."

This probably didn't have the desired effect on her. Aure looked down her nose at the necromancy apprentice. "And what makes you so sure? One can't know the future until it happens."
Rosalie gently tickled Victor's tummy, trying to distract him.

Josie backed off and inclined her head, the sinister grin actually slipping into what Aurelis would, at some point, realize was a genuine smile. "No one really knows but the future is emminent, just like life and death. it's emminent that your wrist will heal but it's up to you to decide how it will do so. You can have me set it properly now. Or you can let it heal at an awkward angle that will need to be rebroken if it's ever to be functional. I'm just trying to save you alot of extra time and suffering."
That seemed to distract the child from the unhappy affair. He wriggled and giggled aloud, trying to escape but seeming to beckon for more as he squealed in pleasure.

Her argument made sense. She didn't want to sit down and let this strange psycho woman do anything to her. But if it didn't heal correctly, she'd likely lose all ability to use it until Asmadai returned from his ministry in the city. She sat on the bench and glared at Josie again.
Rosalie giggled at him, then shifted to better get at his stomach. "You're silly," she told him cheerily.

Josie nodded and finally released her hand. She then moved to her supplies and began sorting through them, seeing what would best double as temporary medical tools. In the end, she chose the bindings, a long piece of fabric, and two spell staves. These she brought over to the bench top and set them down according to how they would be put on. Once that was out of the way, she moved to Aurelis's wrist and looked up to her. "Ok. I'm not going to lie to you. This is going to hurt like hell - but it has to be done to set the bones. Are you ready?"
Victor shifted as well, enlongating himself so she could continue.

She rolled her eyes. "Get on with it already." Aure watched Josie through her eyelashes, curious in spite of herself.
Rosalie scooted away from Josie and Aurelius to the other side of the bench. "Do you know patty-cake?"

Josie looked at the wrist very carefully for a few minutes before pressing down hard on them, forcing the calcious fragments to flex and meet their original place. Within a moment, she grabbed up the bindings, wrapping them over and over again and again before taking up the two staves and placing them precisely to keep the bone in place. She then continued wrapping until it was suitable to tie off. The fabric was the last to come on, a silken sort of cloth that made a cushion betwixt the world and the now bound appendage.

[wow sorry for delay @_@ I was doing NaNo and suddenly Aure was like, "ok shut up and listen!" so... yeah.]
Aure winced, but that was all. There didn't seem to be too much to this whole 'fix', but that was okay. She'd likely still be able to handle the delicate instruments in the lab she'd made in one of hte rare flowerless rooms at Valinor. Well, hopefully...
"Thank you," she said icily, the same as someone might say I hope you rot in a ditch in Gambino.

Josie nodded and backed away, finally releasing Aure to her own devices. "You're welcome. Next time, take it to a hospital. They at least have anestesia on hand..."

She rolled her eyes and gave Josie a hostile look. "Whatever," she grumbled. "Come on, Rosalie."
The dark-haired girl didn't seem much inclined to, but nonetheless she offered Victor back to his mother. "Fres might be worrying," she said, by way of explanation.

Josie willingly took back her young one, offering Rosie a smile. "Thank you for being such good company to him. I hope we meet again so you two can play..."
Victor reached to paw a last time at the dark tresses of his female companion before he relinquished his hold and submitted to what was already ocurring.
