They are near the mountain gap next to the river in the forest.

Evening Night
User Image The sound of the river had always been something to soothe the copper red mare, but it was having no effect on her nerves. Nor was it giving her any answers to the questions that had been rolling in her head since she found out her friend, Jazz, had children. She lowered her head to take a chilly drink for the rushing waters.

Her gut was telling her something. She just couldn't figure it out. She had been grouchy for the rest of the winter months too. Was this connected to her question? She flicked her flaxen tail idly, swatting at the flies that seemed to have popped out of the ground with the warm weather and flowers.

She lifted her head, the water dripping down her jaw onto the grass at her hooves. Now was usually the time she wished she knew who or where her mother was.

A single solitary figure moved in escence with the fleeting winter days as she returned from the mountains she longed to stay with. Eyes of cyan gazing thoughtfully at the place she'd come to make her life within. Soon she'd seek her mate and query a few thoughts that slept within her mind; children. How long it had been since her sons had found their own paths leaving the ice mare to simply memorize what had once been.

Her senses picked up on a lone figure which registered as a lone mare not too far away. Smiling she moved with ease letting the chilled winds guide her back to the life she now considered her home. Pausing but a few footfalls away she spoke evenly with a softness addressing the other with carity and politeness, "Hello fellow Soquili. How are you this lovely chilly spring day. Spring is arriving quite rapidly as winter fleets away for a time back to the mountains from wence they came".

Evening Night
She had been so drawn in with her own thoughts that she didn't even hear the mare move in behind her. Her head bobbed in shock, nostrils flaring from the scare. Calming herself, she turned her head to look at her.

She was a dazzling blue and white mare. Her eyes seemed a mix between her own and her mate's hues. She offered a comforting smile. Even though she spoke in such riddles, Ever felt very comfortable in the company of this icy mare..
"I'm doing well. The spring brings many new things and life begins anew." She turned her body towards her and dipped her head in a slight bow. "My two-legger calls me Ever Sacrifice. And what name do you go by?"

Rein_Carnation
The icy mare smiled in appreciation at the warmth showed by the other. In her eyes she saw a rich cinnamon mare dressed in white tresses as her feet were dipped in the same blending like a sugary confection. The overall image was quite delightful and brought happiness in her composure.

"I am known as Celendria, Tis a please Ever Sacrifice" she smiled responding with a gracious nod, "What brings you to this part of the land? I've just returned from a most wonderous trip from wence I originated."

Spring brushed by her as it mingled with the returning wintery weather. For an instant the quick interaction made her wonder if she'd see those glorious days of being a parent again.

Evening Night
"It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Celendria, but feel free to call me Ever" she said as she took a few steps towards her. She wasn't sure where this mare had come from, but her best guess was up in the mountains, an area Ever had yet to explore. "I'm not far from my home. We've settled just at the roots of the mountains, not too far from the river." She looked in the direction of where the teepee was.

She hadn't been back home for some time, too busy trying to catch up with old friends since being cooped up all winter. She blushed slightly as to the reason she was out here alone.
"I came here to think, but my questions aren't easily answered by a babbling river." She hadn't even asked her mate, thinking that he would be just as lost as she on the subject due to his gender.

Celendria did have a motherly feeling to her, a feeling that had been long since buried in Ever's past. She chuckled at how her next words sounded in her head.
"I've never had anyone around who could explain this to me... My mate and I are wanting to start a family of our own, but I don't know where or how they come to be." Ever wouldn't be surprised if her blunt tongue took the mare off guard.

Rein_Carnation
Her words were uncertain yet held great curiousity the ice mare had noticed as the other asked freely something every loving mare desires. The prospect of children had brought happiness and good fortune to her own days in the sun. Carrying them through all that time was well worth the blessing of meeting the ones you create face to face. Both of her boys had their own spark and willingly had transversed their own paths as maturity took ahold. She herself longed to accept the responsibility once more and was quite delighted to share any knowledge she could offer.

"It takes time for one to consider something so bold yet as the river runs it's course you will as well. Children are like that very path and well waited for through all you shall endure. A few moments of gasping pain lives onward to a lifetime of unforgettable memories" she smiled with a soft nod letting the long stretch of silvery white blow a bit from her eyes letting her gaze seep directly into the other of a cyan hue.

She smiled thoughtfully hoping this mare would consider her friend and ally for mares truly should stick together on such subjects.

Evening Night
Ever pulled one ear back in confusion. There was pain involved with children? She hadn't known of that. All she knew was that foals came from baskets. The mare standing before her clearly knew what it was like to have children and might even know the hidden secret that she herself didn't know. "There's pain involved? But..." She hesitated. This sounded so embarrassing.

Rein_Carnation
Celendria nodded with a soft smile, even her own adopted daughter still asked questions of this nature standing perfectly in foal and waiting. It was almost like a perfect mother daughter relationship, so when asked by this curious mare, Celendria took no jerring or offence to anything she queried. It just seemed natural for mares to converse complications, and try to figure out solutions to even bigger problems.

"Well yes" she said as a brief crimson brushed over her cheeks faintly, " there is a fair bit of pain, but as they say its well worth it in the end. While yes foals are placed in baskets, we must birth them first to the outside world. Tis a blessing to hear them safe and sound within those strange things, but yet an eagerness to see them strong and full of life once they leave the baskets." she noted with a loving smile.

She could feel the unsureness and fear that lied withn this young mare, and would do anything she could to alleviate anything that would spook or turn her from her dreams.

Lady Evelyn Nyht
She went from being confused to utter shock at the mere mention of "birthing." This mare was talking about something removing itself from her. So that was where the pain came from! She turned her head, looking towards her rump. How on earth did a child come out of there?

But what was more important was,
"how does the child get there in the first place?" Celendria seemed to know exactly what it was all about guessing by the blush that seemed to linger on her long face. Was she missing something?

Rein_Carnation
Celendria smiled and nodded not at all hindered this mare was quite non educated to the joys of being in foal. So she pondered the best way to break the news gently and not scare Ever into thinking she'd be too meek for the chance at motherhood.

"Well its complicated, but I will say this" she noted with a swish of her tail taking a nice breath before she continued, "When you truly love your mate, and they love you in return, it just sort of happens in a way. A part of himself and a part of yourself are made into foals that are later developed in your womb. I think its magic really for one does not remember how it truly happened. But I think its a special gift granted to the couples that truly love one another. I do hope I didn't confuse you on my reply."

She watched for Ever's reactions hoping she didn't sound like a hopless dreamer with magic and the like, but in truth she didn't remember how they got there really. Mostly when they were close it seemed the magic had truly surficed and weaved its wonderful spell. Oh how she pondered she'd have her own birth daughters with Euphoria someday.

Lady Evelyn Nyht
Ever could feel a glow spreading across her body as Cel spoke of this magic. In someway, it actually comforted the mare to hear that it was unexplainable and would be learned when the time finally happened to her. It was exactly how the blue mare described it... Magical.

Little did Ever know that she was at the starting stages of childbearing herself. It hadn't been too long ago when she last saw Tawali and they conceived a child(ren). The red mare hadn't noticed the different feelings that were coming over her. But sometime soon, she would know.
"Thank you, Celendria. I needed to hear that to put my fears aside."

Rein_Carnation
Celendria stood there before Ever serene and complacent as her cyan orbs gazed outward in a reserved happiness. She may of been old in age compared to most soquili, yet her heart and wisdom was a fresh as a newborn world taking its first breath.

"I am honored to release any knowledge that may be fitting and suitable in your quest for motherhood." she nodded with a soft expression as her silvery forelock brushed over her face like a soft feather light and airy.

She herself was thinking of Euphoria and the others that looked up to her in the clearing day after day. Mares had always come to her for advice, or to simply listen to trappings and memories of her relationhip with the wintery bliss she was born of. In this the ice mare felt the most content- to simply release all she felt and knew to others that willingly accepted it.

Lady Evelyn Nyht
She smiled warmly, looking back to where home was briefly. She would have to return home soon. She brought her blue gaze back to Celendria. "I hope that someday you will meet my family when I have them."

She really wanted to get to know this mare more, feeling comfortable with how she made her feel. She would be someone she would want her children to meet. "We will have to spend time together soon," she said with a soft smile.

(( I went brain-dead on this one. ))

Rein_Carnation
Celendria nodded with her soft set eyes. "And I as well should return to my own children, well of course they're grown but still my babies none the less. I've been gone far too long and Glory's babies should of emerged by now. Sometimes I curse the fact of being bonded to the wintery love I was born with. It so draws me away from everything I've accepted down here in the valley" she murmered with a soft sigh, "But alas its a part of me as I am if it. We are two of the same side, beliving and nurturing one another."

She tossed her head letting that the silver white river flow as her heart did in a passing breeze.

Pausing she smiled at Ever, "And I'd like very much to meet your mate and children when the time comes. As I'd like you to meet my family and the herd I seem to watch over near our clearing home. The two natives are very nice that live nearby, seeing that we are protected and well taken care of. I'm sure Tirranna would love if you and your loved ones stopped by." she mentioned closing her eyes for a moment before reopening them.

Moving cooly amongst the thawing ground moved a figure set in elegance and grace. Though aged she held a timeless beauty in her disposition and and icy yet calm gaze. Her trip to the montains filled with the meeeting with Frosta was rejuvinating and enough to sustain her longing for wintery days. Now she sought her family both near and dear to her very heart. It had been a bit since she'd followed the season's wintery calls and now she had returned once more.

Not too far away another figure white as crystal snow moved toward the icy mare filled with a dazzling smile that complimented her shining ivory spiral. Her rump hed a strangeness yet facination of the silvery violet shooting star that mimiced that deep purple set of tresses both running toward her shoulders and back legs. Her eyes widened as a call uttered in happiness at the sight of her mother that was returning. She sought advice and love from the one her gaze first lied upon from the day she had slipped out of her protective basket.

[ Mialee ]
Euphoria remained in the same grassy plain as he always did, awaiting Celendria. This area was once covered in snow and ice but as the days grew warmer and the birds began to return and sing their songs, the land began to thaw. He shook his head to relieve himself of the white and black streaked mane that was in his eyes. She had not been gone for too long to the frozen mountains, and he was confident she would return to him, as long as he remained here where she could easily find him.

He flexed his great wings and contemplated taking a flight later on to stretch out and work the muscles. The blue and black feathers he adorned twitched gently as the cool breeze blew.

Finally, the sandy stallion caught sight of the familiar icy blue figure he held dear and close to his heart. Letting out a loud welcoming whinney, he called to her and his mighty hooves thundered upon the earth as he swiftly moved towards her. She had returned to him, just as he had faithfully believed he would. With his mate in his sights, the stallion did not notice the white unicorn mare who also had spotted Celendria as she returned to the land.

Rein_Carnation
Celendria smiled at her grown daughter remembering all those days of a rambunctious child now fully grown into an adult. The very days where flight was a possibility even in a soquili who beared no wings upon her perfectly set back.

"Glory.. my daughter how have you fared with your mate? Has there been talk of foals betixit you two yet?" she smiled winking with a spark of love and warmth toward the adopted charge she called her own.

A trumpet filled with welcome and happiness carried toward the icy mare letting her own voice ring merrily on high in responce.

"I am here my love. I've returned as my heart always promises" she said with a mirth that carressed her words with much joy, "I could never leave you for you are my dedicated love and strength I call upon".

Glory beamed with a dance in her steps, nearly over a year now she still was molded as her childhood had let her. "Mother... oh its so good to see you.." she beamed lowering her horn in acceptance. As the approaching figure released his welcome to the ice mare the lively unicorn's head drew upawrds to get a better look at the one she'd call father finally.

From a distance he carried the color of a sandy beach lined adorned with a white and black steaked mane. Winged appendages she herself dreamed upon sat perfectly upon his back as he galloped toward them. Finally a family, a full bred family she'd be within. A mother, father, bothers, a sister was nothing more she's ever wish upon even in the most awesome dream.

[ Mialee ]
Euphoria continued to race towards his mate but then the sight of the white unicorn mare with her flowing mane and tail of purples and blues caught his eyes. He watched as Celendria embraced her. Surely this must have been one of the adopted daughters his mate had lovingly spoke to him about.

He heard her call to him and it only made his legs carry him to her faster. As he approached he slowed to a trot to avoid crashing into her and the other mare. He nuzzled her lovingly and shoved his muzzle into her mane, taking a deep breath of that familiar scent he loved and missed so much when she was gone. "And I will always be here waiting for you, my love, my hope and dreams, you who hold my heart. "

Pulling his head back to let his golden eyes met hers he smiled and nuzzled her cheek softly, before turning his head to greet the young mare who stood there also. He noticed the marking on her rump, how unusual but pretty. He had seen many soquilis now with such markings. "My greetings to you, I am Euphoria. You must be Glory. Celendria has told me much about you. It is my pleasure to finally meet you." As always his voice was deep and filled with pride, his eyes shining with a happy, gentle composure.

Rein_Carnation
Strange that time weaves her magic spell for the proud tall unicorn mare blessed with the falling star was rather fattened and beaming as brightly as the heavenly bodies in a night sky. She acted as her old self yewt her radiance shined through bodly meeting her adoptive father for the first time. She could help but smile happily letting her sides sway as if a native's canoe sat calmly upon the water's surface.

"Greetings father" she blew outward with a small giggle, "Cele has told me wonderful ful things about you. I'm glad we finally got the chance to meet each other."

Her smile widened as her cool cyan eyes beamede back at her mother. She wondered if Celendria could tell, that a wistful unicorn happy in love had finally captured her own falling star and made a wish upon the very thought.

Celendria at first didn't notice the roundness of her daughter's belly till she caught a glance of the largeness that completed the sleek beauty she'd raised. A tearful expression covered the ice mare's features resting well she'd see grandchildren now, perhaps some grandaughters even. The mere mirth was nearly too much to hamper inward so she did what came naturally to her.

"Glory... oh my little Glory it seems the stars have kissed you well have they not? How long have you been carrying so I may ponder their arrival with the many days passings."

Turning to nuzzle her mate, her own icy eyes glimmered with a reborn youth thinking upon her future, watching young foals grow and find families of their own.

"My Euphoria I am warmed by your presence and my daughter's own special surprise. T'will be a joyous month indeed now that we have reunited once more." she announed as her head rested over his own withers letting his feathered appendages provide the much needed comfort.

The summer was beating downward so harshly the ice mare panted. She hated the flies that came with the heat - nasty things intent on biting and causing misery. She lashed her tail with a toss of her head finding much needed shade that cured her ailing problem.

Now the shade was her sanctuary letting her ponder past things and present. Glory's birthing was something she treasured leaving her with another set of foals to coo and spoil with her words and affections. Two boys and one girl resulted in a lovely matching set to her daughter Glory and Kahaina.

Silvance and Agate had traveled their own paths though Mythy (Mythril for short), stayed behind and roamed about with his mother. Samedi had of course vanished with her children, a saddening time indeed to loose track of loved ones.

Now she waited for Euphoria, he beloved heart of hearts whom made even her icy chill seem as livid as a passing spring breeze. He was of course the reason she stayed away from the mountains for so long. Flowing waves of silvery silk wafted into the passing breezes as her soft hued icy orbs always looked a lot on the world with such understanding and compassion.

[ Mialee ]
Euphoria flew about enjoying the summer heat. He never strayed too far from her these days and although she may be waiting he was not too far from her at all in the skies above. He knew his beloved hated the heat, being a mare of ice and snow, she favored the winter months. He landed softly closeby, grabbing a mouthful of the fresh green blades of grass, taking in their sweet taste. He swished his tail periodically to keep the annoyances with wings at bay. They often didn't bother him too much though.

He watched as Cel laid in the shade and after contemplating a moment, chewing the blades thoughtfully he slowly motioned his way over to her, flexing his black and white wings a bit. He slowly lowered himself to the ground in the coolness the shade provided on a soft bed of grass next to his icy mate, nuzzling her softly in an affectionate manner.

It had been busy lately with Glory whom he had recently met, having foals. Celendria was overjoyed with the new little bundles of joy and it made him want to have more foals himself.

Rein_Carnation
Thundering across the ground came a set of Soquili - One white adorned with a horn, the other indigo with patches of white.

The mare was nimble and sleek pointing her horn toward her destination that guided her. The colt which was nearly reaching her in height challenged the pace letting his long powerful forelegs dive into the turf as his back legs pushed outward. Both moved like smooth water across a barren land as they raced one another through their shining grace. Even the sun in its jealous skies couldn't affect the two which ran neck and neck willing the other to fail before they had begun.

Celendria smiled with her chest panting avoiding the strong heat that painted the land in its warmth and misery. She would have given anything, a mere wish to be back in those mountains as the winery drifts numbed her body in the cool touch she always longed to be part of.

But her duty, her heart kept her away from her desire to be content with the ones she considered her family.

Nuzzling her proud mate which glowed like the desert sands, she remembered instantly why her life had chosen the path it had. She paused to breathe a bit before speaking as if to capture a small gift of chilled wind someone graciously sent her.

"Euphoira" she murmured with a soft whicker, "How has the skies been treating you?" she queried with a soft ring upon her crystalline voice.

Perking her ears she caught sound of soquili running near them, noticing the swift white form along with the sleek little colt running beside her. A new form of revered youth entered her overheated body as her head bobbed in happiness. Finally Glory would meet her father the right way, and she was bringing Mythy as well.

[prp] Dyami and Cel (( for Samus and Rein)) Mon Sep 17, 2007

samus x
a proud stallion of white, green and red was taking a long cool drink from the stream of water. once he was finished, he lifted his head and gave a toss of his braided mane to get it out of the way. Dyami had decided to take a long walk to ponder things after having talked with Settia and spent time with her. learnign that their oldest son Jazz was mated with someone who wouldn't leave him unlike the mare he had, had foals with. with that thought it made him wonder what his grandson thought of it all since it had been quiet a while since he had seen him. giving a light snort and a flick of a tail he stared at his reflection, ponding and collecting his thoughts.

Rein_Carnation
As the winter was gradually announcing itself to the land sitting beneath the higher set mountains, an air of change was drifting along with it. Each chilly morning, or cool moment switching within the twilight hours became a blessing to a mare that spoke and walked with the snows and season she was born within. Once again the wintry months were approaching as her hooves stepped lightly in the ice mare's stride.

Her memories were flooding like a vivid rainbow, each in descriptive metaphors as each played out. Each were a true blessing, a cherished moment consisting of family, friends, and all she had accomplished. Once in a great while those that had sought enlightenment were suggested to gain something, a beautiful new look upon life and things in balance and harmony. Soon she would turn to this path, a new beginning as her life carried onward.

Fall was finally arriving once again.

But for now she decided upon a walk in the brisk air that so openly invited her, occasionally tussling some leaves from the trees, as they waltzed in pairs to lie upon the ground at her feet. She noticed a familiar face, an old friend from that radiant spectrum of friends her mind preserved quite well. Always holding a good sense about himself and raising quite the family, Dyami was one of the best in her eyes. Besides Alona, Dyami was one of the first she met on her trip from the icy mountains above.

"Dyami," she uttered with her soft voice, though clear enough to be heard. "What brings you out in this lovely afternoon, filled with cool breezes and the scent of change?" She smiled ever so gracefully, yet her heart was proud and full of mirth seeing an old friend. Never childish or impractical she always kept things in check and full of wonderment.

samus x
Dyami's ears twitched as he heard a old familiar soft voice of a old friend he had not seen in quiet the while. turning his head to face the voice and grinned. " it's been quite a while since i last had the honor of talking with you. and the need to collect my toughts brought me out on this truely lovely day." it was truely nice to have fun into a old friend, specialy one he had not seen in so long. oh Dyami could be childish in a way but only when his kids and mate brought that side of him out as he usualy was fairly laid back, and calm.

Rein_Carnation
She smiled softly letting the sun warm her back, though it wasn't too warm as the summer days. A just right season; comfortable and relaxing with a hint of the next chill lying upon the breeze.

"Yes the day is quite a nice experience to run into you once more," she nickered with a toss of her head, "And how is your family doing these days? I'm going to be a great-grandmother soon. I just wish that family kept in touch more".

She felt saddened by that thought, but yet little ones always grew and moved out on their own. It was a circle, a noted event that happened to every creature one time or another.

samus x
" my family is doing well. and how is yours?" Dyami then chuckled. " well congrades to being a great grandmother. and i know the feeling, my 2nd oldest son Fenrir is hardly around because he off being his own stallion, wild and free. i see my other two kids more. but i would like to meet the one granddaughter i have yet to meet because her mother left with her leaving Jazz to raise the son." giving a soft sigh, it always got to him how he had a granddaughter he would most likey never get to know. "but i can be happy to say jazz did find a mate dispite having kids with someone else."
