>.> Well, I'm moving to Japan in September, but I almost don't want to go if there aren't any good bands there. Any advice? (What highschool, bands, whatever...)

I live in Burnaby, BC, Canada, and I feel isolated all of a sudden...
I've never heard about any band competitions in Canada before. Maybe we just don't have the funds to do that sort of thing... there's the Burnaby school district for ya xp
The grade 10s and seniors are going to Disneyland on April 14th though... it'll be a blast blaugh

We just had one (I'm in Ottawa, btw), it was the capital regional musicfest. Next year, nationals are here. That one moves all over Canada each year. There's more...I think there's one in Halifax and stuff (not that that helps you much, lol) but there are some in Canada! My friend's school goes to BC each year, so I'm sure there's something out there...
Everyone is going to Florida this year...We're going on the 20th, though.

I live in the U.S., but I was wondering if anyone in here was from Spain, because we just got back from a visit, and saw marching bands in the processions in southern Spain, and was wondering if anyone played in those...

I don't think our band has ever gone to Disney land...
It would be really cool to go to Halifaz for that festival. It coulda been like a joint band trip with the Scared Heart people seeing as they ARE one of our sister schools. Them and All Saints.
(You've probably never heard of these schools. xd )

I was watching some videos on Japanese marchingbands they are hardcore and apparently take place indoors. I saw some real precise and sharpened drills. One of the bands marched Basoon and Oboe it was real fun to watch.
My band will bew going to Japan in October and we'll be performing in a parade in Osaka. I was windering if anyone else here is going to this parade as well.

Number_09 Yay first post! Anyway... Is anyone here going to Music-fest in Ottawa, ON, Canada in 2005? If you are, what level is your band entering in and what pieces are you playing? I went to The Regional Music Fest in Collingwood, ON Canda 2005.. As Senoir Concert Band and played Shenandoah, Liberty Spirit March, and Kronos.
