As life goes along, all the people you know are in band. You spend more time with them than anyone else, especially if you have more than one musical group, such as Jazz or percussion ensemble.
The only two important crushes I've had were on guys in band. One tuba, one trumpet. The trumpet crush has lasted for a year now. ^__^

Most bandies like bandies cuz they have things in common, plus you get to see them all the time!
I'm a sax player but for some reason, i usually like the brass boys....it makes things a little less awkward when you break up cuz they're not in your section so u can avoid them a little if it was a bad break up

It's 'cause (in my case) Marching band kids in particular, basically have to get down to their skivvies in the same room for competitions. And were basically a tight knit family. It's hard to not get relationships in that kinda environment. (one of the only school organizations that's co-ed also helps)

i think its because we have at least 1 thing we can talk about. so far this year ive had a crush on 2 percussionists a trombone player a clarinet player and i now have a crush on a trumpet!the only guy trupet player who isnt annoying!plus hes HOT! ive seen band ppl date other band ppl, it ussally is an off & on kinda thing but it usally didnt end badly!(suprising huh?)ive acutally havent dated a band person, well i havent dated any1(just dont want a bf) but the bad thing is i know i wont go out with my current crush though sad its because i got asked out by this 1 guy, i turned him down. then i have my next class with my crush(who sits next 2 me) i heard him talking 2 his friends & this is what he said "i cant believe CJ! he asked out her *points 2 me* 4 me! i dont even like her!" CJ was the guy who asked me out! edit: do u think an oboe player goes well with a trumpet player??

Let's see...my first crush was on a trumpet/french horn. He happened to be my first boyfriend as well <3.
Then my list goes: -alto sax -alto sax -trumpet -bari sax (dated) -tuba (dated) -tenor sax -tenor sax/bassoon -baritone -tenor sax -alto sax -tenor sax -baritone
yeah...as you can see, i've only dated 3 bandies, but i ended up moving schools so that might be why my list is enormous XD

That's the way it is for most peer groups; cheerleaders ad football/basketball layers tend to date each other, band kids tend to date band kids...
Just the way the story goes. biggrin

It probably has something to do with the stuff you have in common. you see the person all the time at practice and you have similar taste in music and you can talk music. You know all the same people and you suffer the same teasing lol

I would have to agree. I have had a crush on a guy in high school for the two years he was there. Idk if he knew or not, but we always sat together on the bus everywhere and sat together and so forth. I was his freshman too. He adopted me his junior year and we still talk whenever i'm not busy with other things. He was a Tenor sax player too. Then in middle school i had a major crush on a tuba player, the only one in the band at that time. He told me last this summer that he had liked me the whole time (tuba player) and but couldn't go out with anyone other than a morman. But i agree that we get to see them everyday of our band career and you can't help but get close to them. I have a great bf now and he isn't in band. Idk if he was in band but I love him to death.

we are so close, its like a big family and when your around someone that much it just clicks, my boyfriends a trumpet player and weve been together a year and a bit more than a month now, and its the greatest. plus you allways want someone to sit with on the bus trips.......... any ways how often are you going to see a football player dateing a band nerd. the chances are quite slim.
