((@___@ Nobody has used the playable characters yet... *pulls out Toph*))
"I don't think this is very fair..." A short form voiced rather loudly as it walked towards the commotion, "Six against two..." Tilting her head to the side, the girl with empty pale eyes smiled at them, "I normally don't help others, but I'll lend you a slight hand... or kick." And with that, a smile cracked on her lips. Stomping the earth beneath her bare feet, she sent two flying back and another straight into the air. With a smile, she dodged another man, easily ducking out of the way of his attacks, "Guess I still got it. Three on three is much better."
--------
Lien tilted her head to the side, watching the battle between the nice lady and the new rough looking man. Tilting her head to the other side, she wondered why the man didn't fight back. When he muttered something about a tournament, Lien perked up, her hair shooting up slightly to fall back against her smiling face, "A tournament..." She smiled. Bouncing slightly where she stood she watched the man disappear with a nice explosion, "Are you going to compete?!" She asked the nice lady loudly, "I think you'd do really good! If they let airbenders in, I wanna try." Pumping a fist into the air, she beamed.
-------
"No, you can't be called the Earthshattering magnificent man." A bored looking man sighed behind the counter, "Just give me your name..."
"Fai the blockhead." Wing replied out of the corner of her mouth as she gazed up at the pouting Fai.
"Fai... the... blockhead..." The man scratched on the parchment making Fai's jaw drop, before he could even yell at him to change it back the man's small smile widened, "Sorry, I wrote in ink, and we don't change it once its on there. Are you going to compete Miss?" He asked, smiling down at Wing.
Wing quickly stood up, "What, me? OOOOH no. No no no. I'm not that good. No. I'm his cheerleader. GO BLOCKHEAD!" She cheered loudly.
Fai ran a hand down his face with a sigh, "What time does the tournament start?"
"At sundown." The man frowned back at him.
"Hey. I want to sign up for the tournament. If there's a slot available." A woman's voice came from behind them.
"Oh there is plenty of room madam." The man smiled and looked up to stare into the eyes of a certain red headed woman.
"Name... m-madam?" The man asked, shivering slightly under her heated glare.
"Major Lao." Ziana smirked, her gaze flickered to the Earthbender and it quickly turned into a glare, "This is going to be interesting." With that, she gave one late glare to the Earthbender and companion before slowly walking away.
"Wow... what's her problem... She seems like a Major all right. A major pain in the a**." Wing grumbled, and recieved a cautious look from Fai, but none the less it did make him smile, "Beat her up Blockhead!" Wing cheered throwing him a thumbs up.
Fai smiled and rolled his eyes before leading her away from the sign up stand.

oh... kay... so there was a creepy old guy in a kid's mask who had just gone back to back with her in support. From the looks of it, he couldn't see a thing. She felt OH so secure now. Suddenly two of the soldiers went flying and she turned in surprise to see the female earth bender ready to strike again. She frowned slightly. "Well that's hardly fair!" She shouted before attacking the earthbender who had first picked a fight. Jumping up and hooking her blades around his neck, she threw her force over and sent him flying over her head to skid across the ground. She straightened up and kicked at the outside of the next closest soldiers knee, causing it to break and for him to collapse. "That'll teach you to frame me, a*****e!" She snapped as she oh so graciously flipped the bird before turning to attack the next one.

Lyall had already started his fight on the next one, though he had just finished the fight, knocking the Earth Bender unconscious and through the crowd. He bowed in his general direction, in honor of a fight well fought. Lyall then turned to Shuen and introduced himself, though did not lift his mask up. He knew if he did that, he'd surely be recognized by some of the older faces in the crowd around them. Walking up to Shuen, he said, "I believe those soldiers will not bother you anymore, at least not for a while. I am Lyall. You are?"

Shuen chewed on the piece of grass a bit thoughtfully as she watched him. Okay... maybe he wasn't so bad. "The name's Shuen." She replied; keeping her gaze on him. "Thanks for helping me, i guess... Earth kingdom soldiers have been a bit of a pain in the a** to deal with recently." She noticed the man frown slightly, but took no heed to it. This man was different... especially the colour of his hair. It was the same colour as straw, which she found to be unusual. She had never seen anything like it, and now she wondered what his eye colour was. Eventually she broke the silence. "I'm actually looking for that tournament being held here in order do get some cash." She explained after a minute. "Do you have any idea where it is?"

Entering the town Yorukaji passed by a cloth peddler. The clerk gazed at his scar with a frightened look "Oh, this? don't worry, I have nothing to do with them" Kaji nervously smiled as he placed a few coins on the table and walked away ducking into an alley."I had best keep myself secret till after the tournament" Kaji said to Kaen while pulling out his mini sewing kit. "I suppose i should cover this scar huh?" he continued. Kaen only gave a depressed look as he lifted the bag over his head only to find there were no more berries. Yorukaji laughed as he created a bandage like shash and covered the scar on his arm. Yorukaji rose to his feet turning to Kaen "Well, shall we be off?" Kaen jumped back on Kaji's shoulder as they made their way to registration. "I'd like to register for the tournament" Kaji said to the man behind the registration counter. "And your name?" the man replied. Knowing that the Fire nation troops were still in the city, Yorukaji replied to the man "Kaen..." The man entered his name as Kaji and Kaen went to a small eatery. "Sorry friend, I have to borrow your name for a bit" Kaji said to Kaen handing him a small loaf of bread. Kaji Spotted the fire nation soilder and her troops, and watched her like a hungry wolf spying its next meal. "I'm going to enjoy this" Kaji sneered biting into a piece of meat.

Hearing the word tournament, Lyall smiled. "I believe we are now rivals," he explained to her. "I am also joining in the tournament for a bout of fun and a bit of research. The money is just an added bonus. Since we are heading the same way, I believe we should travel together. It would be the most logical option." ((Sorry it's so short, I'm being kicked off right now. ><))

Shuen glanced up at him and smirked before pulling the grass out of her mouth and tossing it away. "Why not?" She grinned. "I look forward to kicking your a** then, Lyall." One thing that Shuen had never managed to obtain from her brother was his charm. She was extremely blunt and to the point with her words while Jet liked weave intricate stories to persuade those against him. "Oh, and just because I'm younger, don't even think about going easy on me." She stated calmly. I'm sixteen, alright? I can certainly take on someone like you." Yep, she most certainly could never charm a man in her lifetime.

Zen'ya watched the man leave them for now. She looked down at Lien and asked, "Tournament? I'd rather not join a fight unless I need to..." But all my money I gave to the cart owner...
And embarrassingly enough her stomach started to growl. "...but I suppose this is a moment I need to... " She waved for the children to follow her out of the forest.
After asking around, Zen found the entrance to the arena. "Is this where registration is?" Zen asked the man behind a counter. "Sure is sweet cheeks. Are you going to fight?" he gave her a wink. Zen'ya rolled her eyes and sighed, "Yes!!" "Well then I'll need your name..." he put a pen to the paper. "Zen'ya..." she replied then walked away to the fighters waiting area.

He merely grinned at her statements. "Then, may our fights be well fought," Lyall merely stated as he led the way toward the arena entrance. Once there, Lyall stepped up to the registration desk. "Are you going to fight?" "But, of course. Sign me up under Leo, if you will." Lyall then motioned to Shuen. "This lad right here also wishes to sign up. Name is Shuen." With that, Lyall walked towards the fighter's waiting area, after waiting for Shuen to follow. Lyall had decided to stay completely under cover until it was absolutely necessary to reveal his identity. Or at least reveal what was under the mask. Most of the older faces of the crowd will most certainly recognize his face and features. As long as he had that mask on, however childish it may look, he deemed it was somewhat safe to travel in the open. He hadn't been in public for nearly 15 years. It was almost exhilirating! _____________________________
Kay followed after Zen'ya quickly, not wanting to stay lost forever in the forest. When she got to the city, though, Kay didn't go off on her own. She actually continued to follow after Zen'ya to the arena. Seeing there was a tournament going on, Kay eagerly signed up and dashed off to the fights waiting area. Although, upon entering the area, she tripped over a misplaced rock, squealing as she hit the ground. Quickly, she stood up, as if unphased by the fall, and rushed by every fighter that was currently there, asking questions like: "How old are you? Do you live alone? Where do you live? Take me there!" or "What's your element? Do you fight with a weapon? Teach me how!" or even "What's your favorite food? Do you have any food? Can I have some?" All this hype of the tournament was getting Kay extremely excited and very hyperactive.

"Weapons are allowed, right?" Shuen asked with a mild frown. The man glanced up at her. "So long as you don't bend." He replied gruffly before going back to his work. Shuen rolled her eyes before turning on her heel to head after Lyall. "Oi... now i'm getting curious." She said as they headed down the road. "Why the lame-a** fake name and mask? You somebody famous or something?" They were in a deserted area of town now. Shuen turned and pulled the mask back; getting a full look of his horribly surprised face. "... Dont' know you." She muttered, putting it back over his head. "So i'm just going to call you crazy."

Lyall pulled his mask back to watch Shuen, slightly amused at her antics. He laughed slightly. "Perhaps you will not recognize me, but anyone of the my generation would most definately know who I am," he explained to her. "But I suppose I may have gone crazy for being away for so long." Looking around, Lyall smiled slightly. "It really hasn't changed at all. . . the same as before. Perfect," he thought aloud as he walked beside her.

As the sun began to set on the horizon, the crowd began to fill in for the tournament. As instructed, the contestants gathered in a special building alongside the arena, so they could stretch and watch if they wanted. A large framed built man gave them instructions on the tournament as he pinned up the list of names and how it was to be arranged.
"All right. Here's the rules: No killing but pummeling them until they're within an inch of death, that's fine. If ya use weapons, ya can't bend. If ya bend, ya can't use weapons! If ya can bend multiple things..." He paused to glance around for the avatar before continuing, "Stick to one element. Disobeying these rules will result in immediate disqualification." With a bow, he informed them the first match was about to start before leaving.
-------------
Fai glanced up at the list and sighed happily when he found out he wasn't the first one up. Walking over to one of the couches, he sat down after adjusting his jacket.
-------
Lein stood on her toes as she tried to get a glimpse of the list. She felt so short... Her heart raced when she found her name on the first fight. With a whine she pulled out her fans and looked them over. They weren't sharp, so she figured they weren't weapons. She could bend without them, but it was much easier to bend with them. Shrugging, she walked out into the arena, her heart beating in her chest. Shutting her eyes, she prepared herself.
-----
Ziana smirked as she walked away from the list. She was the last one up in the first round. Which was fine with her. Walking past the furniture, she walked upstairs so she could stand on the balcony and watch the fight. Her men were in the crowd probably setting up bets they couldn't afford.

Shuen frowned up at the list as she tried to search for her name. She eventually found it somewhere a third of the way in. She was against some weird-a** earthbender who appeared to nickname himself 'The Chosen One.' "Why do i keep ending up with all the freaks?" She muttered to herself; blatantly forgetting that Lyall was right beside her. Heaving a sigh, she glanced around for any food. "These things usually have free stuff here for the competitors, right?" She soon found a table in the back area that consisted of tea, fruits, some sweets and other various delicacies. She found herself most excited when she discovered the meat. Snatching up a bowl and a set of chopsticks, she went to work stocking up on food after three days without it. Shuen grinned and began scarfing down all she had taken. "Geez, kid, slow down." An unusually busty woman called out. "Don't act like you haven't eaten in three days. It's just food." Shuen glanced up over her bowl and glared. This woman was clearly a bender in training who hadn't actually faced a real fight. Her clothes were made of finely laced silk and her skin was left without scars. Geez, how long had SHE been training? "Funny..." She grumbled. "I didn't realize i was acting..." Despite the woman's taunt, she continued to eat to her hearts content; stopping before she made herself too full. She glanced up at Lyall, who kept his mask on in the presence of others. The man had interesting eyes, she had decided. They were such a pale colour compared to her dark brown, and they complimented his unusually soft features and blonde hair. Was he really such a famous person? With a huff, she sipped her tea and sat down on one of the benches. She looked foward to watching the first fight.

Kaji looked at the list "So i'm the second match. Well, may as well take a look at my competiton" he thinks to himself making his way to the balcony. At the top he spotted the fire nation soilder "Well that's one person of interest, but i wonder if that waterbender really followed me here" Just then, Kaen jumped onto Kaji's shoulder with a pouch full of fruit. "Your a thief?" Kaji whispered suprized Kaen just looked at him holding the pouch as if offering some fruit. "Well, thanks for the snack" Kaji replied as he grabbed a peice "Time to enjoy the show" said Yorukaji Leaning on the balcony

Sitting idly on the bench, Lyall sipped at a cup of tea. He hadn't any tea for years, and had missed it so. He had no interest in the food. Personally, he preferred the food the wilderness had provided for him and his troops. And as of right now, Lyall had no interest in which match was his, or whom he was going against at the moment. Again, he preferred surprises, such as many surprise attacks he had received from wild animals of the wilderness. Truthfully, having lived on his own in the wild for years, he had gained certain skills and information that was not readily attainable anywhere in any particular city of the world.
While he had been in exile, Lyall rarely used his bending unless it was absolutely necessary. He had used a sword instead, and had been able to master it over those years. It had only been when Lyall had discovered a piece of critical information that pertained to the world, had Lyall decided to try and take over the world, starting with the Earth Kingdom. Lyall decided it was crucial for this information to be acted upon immediately, however, he knew the current leaders of the world would never invigorate such a thing. Therefore, he had to take over and instate it himself.
