Don't sign language to your friend. *My friend and I did that a lot this year (we're freshmen) and we got our senior section leader to do it sometimes too. He mostly did y and no because those were the only two that I taught him that he could remember. One time he accidentally did "I love you" and it really freaked me out so I gave him this funky look and then told him after practice that that wasn't y. My friend and I would always sign hi or hello or something like that to him and he would sign back y or no. And I would ask him how he rejects a greeting. It was awesome. I'm going to miss him next year. Especially since our section thing was: I heart Brett! Brett: Be a leader! Us: Eat cupcakes! (Wear gloves!)* Good times.

never scratch....you get push ups...
oh and if your talking to one of the assistants, and then your band director comes around just say that he/she was telling you that your shoe was untied or that your hands were in the wrong place or you werent standing up straight so he/she was fixing it....XDD i did that with our assistant micheal...@_@ he never stopped talking. lol. great fun though.

one of the funniest things thats happened when we were at attention was the high school percussion(when i was in MS) was talking and they would not shut-up and the HS BD them that if they didnt shut-up that they wouldnt be able to play in band-o-rama and he would just let the MS percussion play.
no..it dont sound funny..but you would've had to been there.

Dont to the wave across a row while awaiting what place in the top ten you got. haha. our band is so relaxed and chill you have no idea. we didnt even get in trouble.

Remember the cicada's this year? Ya, well we had to practice while they were flying around everywhere and they LOVED the football field. I think it was like the first week of marching and im a freshman so everything was new. Anyway, we were practicing the attention position and the cicada's kept landing on us. (about 16 girls and 1 boy in our flute sec) So many of us were freaking out and breaking attention that our flute sec. leader told us that we would have to do 10 pushups everytime someone moved. We ended up doing about 70 push-ups and running 4 laps.

we dont get to march on the football feild until the day before our competition that we host or the day before state....otherwise we have our crap a** assphault feild.

Unless you want people to laugh at you, then don't: finger a high note on the flute and have your ambrochure set while you sneeze. ESPECIALLY while you BD is talking...not pretty. my new nickname is AHH-TOO now. oops sweatdrop

tested_and_true we dont get to march on the football feild until the day before our competition that we host or the day before state....otherwise we have our crap a** assphault feild. We practice on the field every chance we get. Our BD insists on it. only time we don't get the field is when the football teams got a game. Lincoln-Way Central is very competitive...

don't stcratch anything, especially your butt. A Freshman scratched his butt once and it was cought on tape. Pretty funny lol

TATUM! oh my god. she fixes her hair while at attention. Even after the sixth time D has told her not to. And made fun of her over the loudspeaker. She's not even a freshman, and she still does it. >_<
