adonis_shaman_lily ~ParaParaSanzo For an event a couple of weeks ago, my friends and I made "ghetto" Saiyuki costumes. (It was an interesting mix: Gaiden Goku, Gojyo, Hakkai (me), and Sanzo (sans the robes . . . yay. Sanzo in jeans . . . *drools*)) Then we did it again for Goku's birthday party where we had an unexpected guest: Homura! *drools some more* It was great . . . . Pictures coming soon! wink I still need to work on Konzen though . . . . I so want to see ghetto Homura! =^^= That's a cool idea... Maybe I could do that for my birthday... When we go see the king tut exhibit in LA (Like a month after my b-day ^^0) That's a kawaii idea! (Though in my case, Yu-Gi-Oh cosplay may fit better.) I'll post a pic after I upload them from my camera . . . OK? Ghetto Homura actually looked hot . . . Sanzo and I (Hakkai) had some hugging fun with him too . . . That was very interesting . . . and so out of character too . . . . (At least he said we were both good huggers!)

Well, I actually managed to pull of a half-decent Gojyo cosplay for the Mini-Con, but I failed to take a camera with me for pics of me with Sanzo and Homura. *le sigh* gonk

My friend did a super awesome Sanzo two years ago at Akon 14...and then last year for Akon 15 I made my younger sister a Lilin costume. I'm going to see if I can dig up some pictures now... X3

Sadly enough, we will not be doing ghetto Saiyuki cosplay for my birthday, though we are going to Benihana's, me in my kimono, and Mel in her Chinese outfit. *sigh* At least I'm almost done with Rinrei, spray painted the shoes, just have to make the dress.

Just got my wig for Gojyo. >.>
I'm gonna wear a black cowboy hat, black pants, black suit top and an orange shirt undernieth with dogtags and an orage feather boa!!

hahahha... Now I need to make the weapon...

Omg, I don't know why I'm still up at 3am. Anywhoo, I brought Konzen to Sakuracon in Seattle this year. ^^; Only a few people recognized me during the half hour I had it on (not to mention to convention didn't officially start until the next day). I didn't get any decent pictures at the con, but set up a make-shift home studio type thing due to popular demand. XD The picture still turned out crappy. Ah well. (My friend is toting Tenpou to SC06! heart Can anyone say "fan service pictures"?) Clicky

adonis_shaman_lily, your costume's so much better than mine was gonk but then again... I used the one from Reload XD, and I couldn't find my white dragon so I brought a brown one and my girlfriend and I kept telling people Hakuryu fell in a mud puddle. I only have pictures of the uncompleted costume with my hair down and wearnig my glasses (I managed to get contacts before the convention so I could wear a monocle and not be blind)
Damn that was a hard thing to figure out. I had to tape it on but I kept sweating so the tape kept unsticking and for most of the con I just left the monocle in my bag.

I went to ACEN this year and saw some really awesome Saiyuki cosplayers.....
And when I went to the Greg Ayres/ Chris Patton fan panel.... a whole group of Saiyuki cosplayers... the complete cast including gaiden..... appeared for a picture with greg.... i feel so stupid b/c i didn't whip out my camera and take a picture..... it was amazing....
when i find the pictures... i'll post them... but i'm feeling really lazy.... so.... when i get them up... i'll also post the pic of greg and me and his autograph.....

yay for cosplay! im new to it and all but i met some great crossplayers whose group i joined XD anyhoo this is a pic of me and a.y.a. from cosplay.com having fun with greg at AX '05 X3 he was so awesome to talk to and he actually read the saiyuki smut i bought XD he said he like the konzen/goku pairing better then sanzo/goku though ^.^ red bulls and bath puppets forever greg! http://images2.cosplay.com/photos/39/398974.jpgmy wig is a lil beat up from travel and the cleaning lady hid the hairspray >.<;; we're forming a larger group for AX '06 since tasu is cancelling as hakkai to make gojyo instead. shes also making nii in the sanzo robes XD im glad she made use of yayoi's wig >.<;; i met several gokus and sanzos at AX and i am good friends with a kou and gojyo from there, inu_chan00 and evil_penguin (sp?) from cosplay.com. inu said she wanted us all to pitch in to get a jeep XD a.y.a. is going to be our new goku which means i can stay as sanzo *cackles* she'll be in demon form so i might make a konzen if i feel like it...oi...too many cosplay groups...so little time X3 i should post more pics but meh im too lazy at the moment

adonis_shaman_lily Since I haven't seen this yet, I thought it would be cool to have a little thread dedicated to showing off their Saiyuki related Cosplays and/or maybe ask for help. So, I guess I'll start off... Halloween 04: Me in the middle...So, that was mainly Target made, with some stuff I had laying around too. The Hakuryu is really one of those white dragon beanie babies, think his name is magic. Had him for a while, he's my temp for until I finish my Hakuryu plushie/bag. Only that wasn't target really were the shoes (thrift store), the buttons and black trim (thrift store again), and the ear cuffs, which were a tealight that I killed, and trust me, if you ever do earcuffs from tealights, put a little adhesive on too, just in case. OMG!!! I know the girl to your right (on the left of the pic)!!! She went to my school. And yes, you made a good Hakkai. I was thinking about dressing as Sanzo, but I decided against it XD
