Two-legs bearing gifts Page 24 -- 28summary: Whilst waiting for Kamali''s return, Jade enters the scene and together they run off to discover more adventure. They run deep into the forest, where Gizmo smells something that appears to be Gaara, he howls but to no avail, and determined to find the male he sets off with Jade following behind. It is not long before the two pups come across a human, that Gizmo dubs ''White-eye'' he finds himself trusting White-eye especially when Gaara holds no fear for him, and moreso when he is given scraps of food.

Thread RP||2nd MarchThe Birds and the Bees Kimaria Gizmo let a small sigh pass from his slightly parted jaws as he shifted on his pale belly to glance up at the sky above him. For once the sparse world above seemed peaceful and content, there were no thick and angry looking clouds, and barely a tree branch to hide his view from them.
He was lying astride a large flat rock that jutted up from the thinning snow, his pink nose held upwards and teardrop shaped eyes staring intently to the heavens above.
There were many things running through the young wolf's mind at that very moment which confused him greatly, and more strangely than ever before. He had at first thought that his sudden growth spurt had been the cause of these weird emotions but perhaps he was wrong.
Yawning wide to show sparkling teeth he let out a small groan as he pulled himself up onto his paws and shook his fur which gleamed beautifully in the light. Then with an almost graceful leap he moved over to the river bank, dipping his head to take a drink, eyes taking in the wobbled reflection of the furry face staring back at him.
He had snuck away to get some peace and quiet from the pack to try and clear his mind, but aparently it wasn't working. His mind still raced and it was beginning to annoy him, did this happen to every wolf?
He gave another sigh and sat down, staring out across the water with an almost thoughtful expression. Kouseki The dark coloured alpha looekd to his brother, silently at first. Yes, he probably wanted to be left alone, but he couldn't help it. With a deep sigh, he moved to plop down next to his brother, then nodded. "Gizmo, is there something on your mind that you'd like to talk about?" Tilting his head slightly, He would wonder what his 'little' brother was thinking about. Obviously something distracting. He looked to the water, and moved to take a quick drink to quence his thirst. Yes, coll water always helped him calm down. Never really got why. With a small yawn, he would then glance back to the other odd coloured wolf and sigh again. "You know you can talk to me about anything, we're brothers." Kimaria Gizmo's ears twitched and he moved his head slightly towards the direction of the familiar voice from behind him. He had to admit he was rather pleased to see Haku was here, perhaps all he needed was a bit of conversation to take his mind from all the worries.
He waited as Haku drank, shifting his weight a little and sweeping his eyes over the motion of the water.
"I confused." He stated simply, swishing his tail in the snow. "All strange things running through head. All these thoughts about things I never think of before."
He let loose a shattering sigh and stood to shake himself again, as if trying to shake off his worries. Golden eyes moved to glance at his brother and he felt such joy at seeing they were still together after all they had been through. He doubted he could ever forget Haku even after a million years, the large wolf had done so much for him.
He wrinkled his muzzle a little and sat back down in a fluid motion then canting his head he prepared himself. "Is it cos Gizmo be older now?" For the notion had arisen that perhaps these concerns were for a more mature mind and not one as innocent as his own. Kouseki "I think that's probably why this is coming up," The alpha admitted to his brother, looking him over. Greeeat. So the feelings he was having.. Were like the ones he started to have for Lera. Maybe Gizmo really liked someone? Enough to have a mate. Letting out another small sigh, he would nod to Giz, then yawn slightly. "I think that because you're older, you're starting to have new feelings you didn't know exsisted." Moving to yawn again, he would fliuck his left ear out of habbit. How should he say it? Okay, be blunt Haku, you can handle this. "Is there someone you feel deeply for, Giz?" Kimaria Gizmo nodded, glancing almost shyly at his pack brother before lowering his head to take yet another drink from the water. It was dreadfully cold but it had been that way for as long as he remembered, being born into the world during the early days of winter he had never learned of the warm days of summer, and how truly powerful the sun could be when not sheathed by cloud.
He shook his head to help wake him up a little bit and caught onto Haku’'s words; new feelings? Did this mean that as he got older these feelings would grow in number and power? He didn't want to feel so confused all the time and he suddenly regretted wishing that he was older.
Days of being a little pup playing in the den had seemed to be stripped from him over night, and now sitting here next to his brother he felt a little scared of what this forest held for him.
"Someone…I care deeply for?" He tilted his head thoughtfully, eyes deepening as he tried to grab a hold of this concept. Yet it seemed the tighter he tried to grip at it's throat the faster it squirmed and escaped into the brush. He sneezed, more out of irritation at his own inadequacy of understanding and paused before speaking, wanting to choose his words carefully.
"You mean friends?" He started hesitant to carry on but knowing there was little choice, "like Aeria?" He lowered his muzzle, ears folding back slightly to show he was still listening. Kouseki The alpha shook his head slightly. "Like a mate," Giving a small sigh, he would move to drink a bit more water himself. The cold water slipped down his slightly burning throat. oving back to sit down, he would look his brother. "Do you feel for someone.. LIke the way I have felt for Lera sicne I met her?" Tilting his head, he would think. Okay, how do you put this? "Giz, are you in love with someone you know?" He was trying to figure out these feelings, and hoped it had nothing to do with him explaining mating. But, since he was alpha, he just might. Parting his muzzle, in a slight pant, a mist of breath came from between his lips. What to say? Hn. This was confusing for him, how did his father explain it again? No idea. With a small sigh, he would try to go back all those years. How idd his father explain it? Damn this was hard. --; Kimaria Gizmo turned to glance at the black and orange wolf with slightly widening eyes, what was he getting at?! Something stirred uncomfortably in his stomach and he gave the tiniest of whimpers, bringing forth his ears to show he was listening to his brother.
"B-but..." He trailed off and shook his head again. A mate? So Haku had felt this way too and it was because of Lera? But why!? She was a wolf just as they were so what was it that made her special in his brother's eyes?
He felt a sense of panic grip him but he angrily pushed it back, unaware that the signs on his face visibly gave away that he was thinking deeply into this.
Haku and Lera were the alphas and he remembered hearing his brother mentioning that he loved her before. Perhaps this was why there had been a sudden increase in puppies. He was dragged from his thoughts by Haku's next statement and if a wolf could blush he would have done so.
"In...l-love?!" Gizmo got onto his feet again, a shiver of fear rippling down his young muscles. "I no understand something, how come you chose Lera over others, what make you sure you love female rather than being just friends?" Kouseki Haku smirked when he heard this. "I just knew. When I saw her. She's the most beautiful creature on the earth, but what really got me was her kindness towards me. Her entire additude.. I just knew that I was in love with her. And that she had to be the one." Giving a confident nod, he would keep his smirk. Yes, it had been obvious that Lera was the one for him. She was so special.. He never could've asked for better. He looekd Gizmo over, then sighed. The boy was in love, only so obvious by the way he acted. Though, it could jsut be a crush, but Haku had a feeling that Gizmo was starting to feel something for someone. More than some silly kid crush. With another nod, he would look up to his brother. "There's something about the way you feel for the one, where you know that being without them would make you so miserable you'd wish for death." Kimaria Gizmo nodded slowly, taking in everything that was being said. It sounded quite nice to feel that way about someone and have them feel that way back. Yes he supposed that perhaps these strange emotions weren't all that bad if it made Haku happy.
So if he was just supposed to know then he guessed he didn't really have to worry about it. If he did manage to have this feeling over some female then he wouldn't have a choice in it.
His brother's last sentence hit him somewhat harder than expected, love was really that strong of an emotion? Was it really so consuming that it could cause one to keel over and die if the other succumbed to the same fate?
He gave a small huff, brow furrowing slightly as he curled his white tail around a hind leg. Would he really ever feel this way about someone? He shrugged off this thought and moved to n** at one of Haku's ears lazily. There was something else that had been bothering him for quite a while now and he decided this was as good as any time to ask.
"So love have anything to do with why Lera got puppies?" Kouseki Haku coughed slightly and his eyes went wide. Dang, he almost got away, too. With a deep breath, he would pounder what to say. Well, he could be blunt, but he didn't want to scare his poor little brother. For one part, he was glad that they could just get this over with, but taking another deep breath, his ear twitched. "Yes, it does, in fact," He murmured, his ear twitching more and more as he tried to figure out what he was supposed to say to his little brother. His black and orange fur clung to him slightly as he shivered. How to say it.. Stop stalling Haku! Just say something. Tell him where puppies come from. Should he try to pull the stork story? Or would Gizmo not go for that one? Sighing, he finally decided what to say, "It all begins when to wolves fall in love and want to have a family.." Kimaria Now that it appeared the worse of the conversation was over - boy was he wrong - Gizmo began to relax a little, raising a paw to lick at it a few times before placing it back on the snow and glancing up at his brother.
His head tilted in a confused fashion, large ears brought forward once more as he observed the larger and older wolf. There was something about him that was quite different, something in those eyes that told him Haku was nervous.
Gizmo may appear a simpleton and a bit naive to most - and for the majority this was correct - but in his short life he had learnt the power of the eyes. He had too often seen the dark and terrifying ones of his mother flash dangerously just before she bit or forced him away from her. Saw the glints of crafty siblings as they watched him with their almond-shaped eyes. Yet he had never EVER expected to see nervousness in the eyes of his brother and it made butterflies flutter in his stomach.
"So when wolves fall in love, they get puppies?" He said, in hope to urge Haku into the story, it appeared he was stalling. "Where they get them? They fall from sky? They get found?" Kouseki "Yes, when wolves fall in love, most of the time, they get puppies." He relaxed a bit too. This was his little brother, for god sakes, he didn't want to look bad in front of him! Giving a small nod to reassure him, he would then smirk. "The puppies come from the mother, of course." With a small shrug, he would continue to twitch his ear, trying not to stall anymore. Gizmo needed to know, and Haku should be honoured that Gizzy had asked him. "When two wolves fall in love, they mate. Then the mother is pregnet, and has the pups after a while. Does that make any sense to you, Giz?" Tilting his head, he would wonder if his little brother wanted to explain mating. Now THAT would be a challange, but for now, he remined silent, waiting for his little brother's answer. Kimaria Gizmo sat back on his haunches, eyes fixed on his brother as he spoke, taking in every word and storing it safely in his memory. He guessed these things were important and needed to be remembered for future use in case he found himself in a similar situation.
"Me think I understand." He said slowly when it appeared the dark wolf had finished his little speech, eyes falling closed as he tried to remember it all.
His little mind still swarmed with questions so he decided to put them into words, he liked getting answers, and Haku was the wisest smartest wolf he knew.
"What does 'Preeg-nant-ent' mean Haku?" Gizmo blinked his golden eyes and smiled innocently, breath misting the air and tail thumping at the snow. Kouseki The alpha smiled. "Pregnent is when the mother wolf has the little babies inside her growing. She stays pregnent for many moons, until the puppies are big enough to survive outside her." That was simple, and he was happy Gizmo wanted to learn about this stuff. It would help his future no doubt. With a small sigh, he would nod. Though, his left ear twitched all the while. His maw parted for another pant. "Anything else, Giz? You know I'll answer anything I can for you," He would resure his little brother with a nod, before pawing at the ground. What else could he possibly need to know? Haku only yawned again, having not slept in a few moons. He didn't sleep because he needed to watch out for the safety of his pack. Since Gaara was hurt, he needed to protect them. He was slightly worried about his Daughter Keara, but he would have to deal with that later. Right now he was spened quality time with his favourite little brother. Kimaria Gizmo listened in wide-eyed disbelief to his brother and could not stop the fur around his neck bristling up a little, golden eyes darkening a few shades. He could not believe what his ears had just heard and not quite sure what to say he remained silent throughout.
How on earth did the pups get inside the mother wolf in the first place? and how could she carry them around? He remembered all the pups that Lera had with her in the den and simply could not imagine them all being in her tummy. Perhaps that was it, perhaps Lera ate them?
His ears twitched and he moved closer to his brother as the black wolf confirmed he would answer more questions. "Did Lera eat her puppies?!!" He squeaked loudly, body trembling with disbelief. Oh how he hoped he was wrong!
How could those pups live in Lera's tummy and get food and water? How could they breath?! "Me afraid I no understand this after all." Gizmo sighed. He was even more confused than before. Kouseki His eyes went wide as he heard the squeak. And he couldn't prevent it, he just started laughing. Boy, was his brother ever confused. "Gizmo, I think.. I think you're a little confused." Shaking his head, he would try to surpress his laughing. Lera, eatting puppies? How weird. "The father and mother make the children, then they live in the mother. They have connections to the mother, where the breath the oxygen from her blood, eat some of her food. Hence why pregnent mothers eat so much. Lera didn't eat the children, they were made inside her stomach and started to grow." He tilted his head, trying to figure out if what he said made any sense. God he hoped he got all this right, but sometimes he wasn't so sure. "Does that make more sense to you, brother?" Kimaria Gizmo took a small step back, mouth opening and tongue lolling from its side as he watched his brother laugh. He then nodded good-naturedly and wagged his tail a little faster, yes he was very confused indeed.
"So puppies are like part of mom wolf?" He asked, as he listened to Haku's brief description of what happens. It sounded a little scary and he was suddenly grateful he had not been born a female, it sounded like they had it hard.
"But how they make puppies? Are they like trees who make seeds that make more trees?" He questioned, quite unaware of how long the two had been there or where this might lead. Kouseki He thought about it for a moment. "Kind of.." How to put it? "Yes, they are. The father helps make the child, just like the bees help make the flowers make seeds." he hoped that helped. "Then they are like seeds in the mother's tummy." God, that better have made more sense then it seemed to in his mind. Giving off a small yawn, he would look around at the surroundings. Did he leave anything out? Was there something important that he was supposed to say to him? Well, for the most part, he was worried he would confuse Gizmo more. But he couldn't just be BLUNT. Because that confuse him. Sighing, he moved to his brother, and whispered where pups came from in his ear quietly, then backed up. Kimaria Gizmo nodded vigorously, completely understanding even though they were using such a strange metaphor. Everything was so much simpler when referred to as plants and trees, Gizmo had no idea why this would be however.
He flicked his ears, and caught sight of Haku's yawn, this in turn caused him to do the same and he shook his head, trying to keep his eyes from closing. All this chatting had really exhausted him!
He blinked in confusion as Haku moved closer to him and then golden orbs widened suddenly, something in them clicking with something between understanding and disbelief.
He took a small pace back to glance at his brother and blinked again and again, then with a small shrug he lowered himself in a play bow and gave a small bark, taking note of its deeper tone and feeling rather proud.
"Sounds...strange to me." He muttered, "me don't think I ever want to..." He wrinkled his nose, "do that ever!" He then yawned once more and gave a playful growl, before leaping forwards to pounce upon his brother and hopefully take him by surprise.
The act of making puppies was a strange and disturbing thing which gave Gizmo no other choice but to push to the back of his mind and forget until the time arose for it to be revived.

Thread RP||8th MarchThe Hyperactive Silver Pup Kamiki Sneaking through the tall grass in a very stealthy manner (well, at least he thought he was being stealthy), a young silver pup made his way towards the river. The adreniline was racing through his puppy viens as he had not told his father, Akui, that he was going out. His protective parents had only recently even allowed the pups out of the den, and only then with strict supervision.
But both Akui and Nyx were asleep in the den, and Vashin's curiosity had got the better of him. After all, the day was just too perfect to spend sleeping it away. He had followed a playful crow out of the den and into the meadow by the river, and now was doing his best to sneak up on the large bird. Kimaria A young teen wolf who had been lying beside the river, muzzle cradled in his paws and eyes closed now caught an unfamiliar scent on the wind. His golden eyes opened to little slithers which shone with health as he raised his head slowly up to glance about him.
His wolf senses were finally beginning to become more tuned and he could already tell the stranger was close by. With a small huff the young white wolf got to his paws and shook his body vigorously, raising his muzzle and parting his jaws to howl a greeting.
He was not a territorial wolf and nor was he looking for a fight, his heart was too innocent for that, and so at a steady pace he trotted off in search of this new scent.
He had taken leave of his pack's territory earlier on that day, deciding that he wanted to do a bit of exploring and maybe find Kamali who had been missing for a while now. He had at first doubted he would even notice the pale green wolf was gone, but he had, and he missed his friend dearly.
He paused and sniffed tentatively at the air once more, drawing forth both ears as he heard movement and lowered himself instinctively. A million thoughts rushed through his mind but he never expected to see a little pup all by himself in the forest.
He gave a small bark, and raised himself again, peering cautiously at the silvery pup before him. Kamiki Vashin's ears peeked to full alert at the sound of the welcoming howl. With his attention deistracted momentarily, the crow gave a mocking caw and flew away over the river and dissapeared in the distance.
Vashin watched it go in dissapointment, but his attention immediately turned back to the sound of another wolf near by. He sniffed the air in long, deep puffs, and he caught the sent. However, by the time he got his bearings he turned around to almost came nose-to-nose with the other wolf.
Seeing the older wolf, Vashin lowered his head and gave a friendly expression, his tail waving back and forth in a nervous gesture of friendly intend. Kimaria Gizmo felt a sudden wave of relief flood through him, but glanced nervously about him anyway. Where were the little guy's parents? Were they close by? He sniffed once again at the air and after a moment was quite happy that there wasn't another wolf lurking somewhere in the trees around them.
He wagged his tail in reply and lowered his head a little, not quite used to seeing a wolf smaller than himself. Yet another reminder that he was no longer a dependant puppy.
The little wolf seemed friendly enough, and by the expression on his face he was content that he wasn't interrupting anything of great importance. With a small yip he sat back on his haunches, his tail brushing the ground.
Where parents? He asked, tilting his head curiously, why pup wander 'lone?. Kamiki "dey are close," Vashin said, excited to meet another wolf. "My daddy is resting with mommy and my siblin's. I was playing "catch the crow" but den I say you. Which is bedder den some silly crow anyway. My name is Vashin, what's yours?" He sputtered this all out rather quickly. He has never officially met any other wolves besides the ones in his pack, and everytime Akui took him out the den, he insisted Vashin stay by his side. Kimaria Gizmo's maw fell open and he panted in the wolf's equivelent to a laugh, his eyes shining as he tried to worm his way through the little wolf's words. How was it possible to talk that fast?
His tail wagged faster and he nodded his pale head, lowering it further to get a better view of the pup. It really was a bother to be bigger than someone you were talking to.
I be Gizmo. He replied after he had finished his little speech and smiled, I never played catch the crow before. I had a friend crow but he flew 'way. He frowned a little and his eyes fogged over in thought. Vashin live near here? Kamiki "Dere are two crows that live 'round us that never go 'way, no matter how much daddy barks at 'em."
Vashin's tail wagged quickly back and forth, barely being able to keep himself still from excitement. "Nice to meet you Geeezmo," he barked out, hoping he said it right. "Yup, I live close by daddy and mommy say as soon as we're big and strong enough we're moving to place of out town. But I think I'm ready enough already, but my sisters aren't a stwong as me..."
Cut off mid-sentence, a powerful, slightly upset-sounding howl echoed from out the thicket in the distance. Vashin immediately shut his trap in a meek yelp, and flattened himself against the ground.
"Uh oh, dat's my daddy. I have to be goin' home now... dank you for taklin' to me..." he rattled off, tucking his tail and skittering off as fast as his four little legs would carry him. Kimaria Me no see many crows. Gizmo answered, yawning and leaning forwards on one paw to scratch behind an ear. He nodded in response to the pup shaking himself again and focusing his gaze once more on the hyperactive little bundle of silver fur.
He was a nice little pup and Gizmo was glad he had taken the time to check out the new scent. Then the distant howl rang in his ears and the young wolf froze, the fur along his neck bristling in fear. He definately did not want to meet any angry parents today, hopefully never.
He got up as the little pup skittered off and turned to reply, bye Vashin, maybe we meet 'gain soon. Then he dashed off into the trees once more, not wanting to stick around any longer than necessary.

Thread RP||21st MarchA Whole New Pack of Friends Kimaria The sound of the wind in the trees filled the young wolf's ears as he strode beneath the canopy, his head canted slightly to the side and feathered tail flowing behind him as he ran. The wind felt more refreshing than cold in his fur, and it's gentle caress was enough to keep him awake and energetic.
Perhaps it was the never ending urge for adventure that had drawn the youngster away from his packlands or maybe it was the hope of meeting some familiar faces, but whatever the reason Gizmo was finally free.
Free from ties and bonds, free from his pack brothers and sisters - although he loved them dearly - this is what he had always wanted. He had no intention of straying from the pack for too long, perhaps because of his promise to Aeria to never leave her side.
Yet life with the pack had been tense as of late and it would do him the world of good to get away and explore, maybe find some new friends to bring back with him. Surely that would make his brother proud! Yes, in a way this journey was to impress his brother, proving to Haku that he was growing up and not just a useless little runt.
Gizmo paused in his step, turning to glance back through the thin layers of trees, the scent of the river water far behind him now as he made his way back through a thicker part of the forest. He tried to remember how long it had taken them to journey away from the freelands but couldn't. He guessed he'd just have to rely on his instincts.
Perhaps this is where Kamali had gone.
This thought had crossed the youngster's mind frequently and although he had kept it to himself he missed the other wolf badly. Life just seemed empty without friends by your side, which was strange considering he was walking alone now. Yet life was also confusing at the moment, his emotions were constantly swerving, turning and jolting around inside of him, especially with certain wolves that he would not even say to himself. It was his sudden growth spurt which had brought about these emotions and he just hoped that maybe this was his body's way of coping with the sudden change. Yet Haku had made it sound like it would stay forever.
Gizmo left the trail, his pale form lost amongst a gather of trees as he padded swiftly up a sloping rock and peered out over the forest, from here the trees were on slightly lower ground, making him feel incredibly tall and powerful. A tension gathered in his chest - the kind of pressure only released with a song - and he threw back his slender muzzle, parting his jaws and howled.
The sound echoed hauntingly through the air and his heart swelled with admiration as he realised that finally he was sounding like a proper wolf. No longer did the puppy squeak bring the note down, instead it was a deep and sorrowful plea. Was there any life out there?
He paused, drawing in a deep breath and drew forth his ears, tail ceasing to wag as he paid attention to his surroundings. Would there be a reply? Was there a wolf out there who wanted to talk and be friends? He was close to his old home, he could feel it and the excitement trembled through his young limbs, urging him onwards.
What would the day bring? He guessed he'd have to wait and see! Thalion Feanaro slowed in his run, pausing at a quiet stream in the woods. He shook himself out, the rusty brown of his fur shining with a healthy silken shimmer. He had cared for himself quite well in the days he had spent with his mate. He had promised not to stay out long, she knew Feanaro was a free spirit and would leave for long runs to keep himself fit, longer hunts to test himself, or what not. He was hoping to find the black pup and his crow companion once again, lead them back to his lands if the pup was still interested. If not the very least he hoped for was a good run and to check up on the land he had grown up in. Lowering his head to the water his eyes peered momentarily at his own reflection before lapping up some of the icy waters. He broke from his drink at the sound of a howl- a firmilar voice but a bit older. A bit of a grin crossed his lips, that pup- the kind one that had stood up to the dark alpha on his reguard.
Turning his head he listened, his ears turning about atop his head. Another response- a smaller wolf... not a part of the dark wolve's pack. The pup was alone then... perhaps he'd finally get to put in his words of gratitude without having to fight his way from half a pack's worth of mindless brutes. He drew in a deep breath and lifted his head in a powerful howl. His voice was dark, haunting, and terribly strong- a howl that would often send a chill down even grown wolf's spines, however the message was one of welcome and greeting. The crows lingering in the trees took to the air in a flurry of caws and clapping wings. He paused, turning his head smoothely to listen for a response. Kimaria For a moment Gizmo thought his efforts had been in vain, and for a long while stood paused on the ledge of the smooth rock, his body perfectly still as he listened intently.
Then suddenly a terrific howl rose up above the trees, it's sound so deep and powerful that it sent shudders down his spine. Surely that had to be the call of some huge and frightening wolf, but yet...it was familiar.
He canted his head a little, trying to think where he had heard it before and then it clicked. Feanaro! It had to be that wolf he had met a long time ago, it just had to be! Now all that was left to do was to pinpoint the wolf's location.
The youngster was still a little unpractised when it came to tracking, but he figured that sooner or later he would pick up a scent. With a wave of his feathery tail he rose his head briefly to give a short howl, a sort of; 'I'm on my way' call and then leapt from the sloping rock.
He landed easily upon the ground, strong limbs propelling him forwards across the small clearing and back into the tangled forest. Ahh yes it was good to be back in these parts that was for sure. There were even old scents still lingering in the air and trees that were familiar to his eyes. What would he say to the big wolf after all this time? Well certainly a thanks was in order, he felt just so grateful to the male and it still saddened him to think his brother did not like him. He could see nothing wrong with the masked male, other than his own need to survive.
It was as he swung left past another grove of trees that he picked up an unfamiliar scent and paused mid-step, his nose snuffling somewhat noisily. That definately was not Feanaro...perhaps he had made a mistake after all.
His ears drooped a little but he decided not to let this new turn of events get him down. Raising his white muzzle he gave a round of small barks, hoping to attract attention and wondered who this new stranger was. Perhaps he was going to meet a new friend after all. Ary Keeyara Ieshia slid through the forest undergrowth low to the ground, almost like a cat. Her ears slid around on her head as she caught sounds of howls and barks. She turned her head sightly, tail twiching over to one side. Slowly she pulled herself to full height, which wasn't much, and headed off toward the sounds in small leaps and bounds. Her movements weren't quick, however. She seemed to be taking her time. Whether she found out who was there or not didn't matter so much to her. However, boredom was something that bothered her to know end. This gave her something interesting to do. Kimaria This was getting rather scary to be sure, at first the wolf had believed himself alone, except maybe for Feanaro who he was sure he had heard, but now he could hear movement and it seemed to be coming from all around him.
His tail moved to tuck between his legs and he lowered himself partially to the ground, turning his head this way and that to check the trees for life. He knew this land was owned by no pack, but it did not make the prospect any less scarier, he was alone and still young, an easy target for a full grown wolf with experience as a fighter.
Then suddenly he heard movement passing somewhere to his side and he turned slowly, spying a flash of red fur between the trees. A pup?
He raised himself a little and gave a small welcoming bark, the wolf equivelent to a: 'hello'. Ary Keeyara After finishing a jump and landing upon a small fern Ieshia heard a bark. Cocking her head curiously she peered with gold orbs through the shadows of the woodland around her. Her tail lifted out of habbit as she seached carefully, her nose twitching to catch a scent.
It was of a wolf she had never met before. That wasn't surprising to her. She had met a lot of new wolves of late. Finally she saw a form of white and brown, knowing this was the wolf that had called out to her. Taking up an easy going trot she headed toward him, giving a small puppy bark in reply; an easy going, informal hello. His greeting had seemed friendly enough, so she felt no real need to fear him. Kamiki Back at the kill, Vashin's ear flicked as he heard a familiar bark-like-greeting in the distance. Was that the wolf me met just a while ago... that time he snuck out and got severely repremanded when he got home...
Gizmo, that was his name, wasn't it?
Hesitant to leave the kill, Vashin lifted his head back in a welcoming howl. Kimaria Gizmo relaxed at the sight of the small ruby coloured wolf and wagged his tail softly in reply. She seemed extremely friendly and not one to be scared of, especially since she was still rather small.
He took note of her sparkling golden eyes and took a step forward to meet her, lowering his head a little to make speech easier.
Although Gizmo was older, being the runt of the litter had also stunted his growth, and he would never be a large or powerful male. This did not bother him however, he was used to being the smallest and it was easier to slip around unnoticed too.
Hello. He said calmly, drawing forth both ears in greeting, You 'lone? He sniffed experimentally at the air, and wondered if the nearby wolves were her family.
He froze however when he heard a nearby howl and twitched his ears, that too sounded familiar. This certainly was turning out to be a rather strange day. He rose his head and gave a louder bark in reply. Kamiki Vashin looked down at the kill and took one last bite before trotting off towards the other wolves. At the very least, he could catch something else later. His father was teaching him to be a very efficient hunter.
Seeing not one.. but TWO wolves he has met previously, his eyes lit up. Padding over wagging his tail, Vashin gave a huge wolfish smile.
"Hello, remember me guys?" Ary Keeyara A small grin flowed over Ieshia's maw, her ears pricking rather high on her head. As he noticed her size she couldn't help but notice his. He was smaller, compared to Vashin she had met the day before. She really didn't take it much into account. So he wasn't as big as some?
As he asked if she was alone she let out a breath through her nose. Everyone seemed to ask her that lately. Was it such a bad thing to be by yourself? Parting her small jaws she replied, "Yeah...I'm alone." Her tone of voice was casual, for she was alone almost everyday.
Suddenly she caught sight of Vashin and her little pup grin grew. Her tail swished to the other side and she let out a happy yip in greeting, "Hi Vashin." He had run off so quickly the other day she hadn't really gotten to know him, but she had found him extremely amusing. Kimaria Gizmo glanced up, his eyes settling on the familiar form of a silver wolf and he took a small step back. Surely that couldn't be the same pup he had met not too long ago? He was big! As big as himself even! It was nice to see the young male again, especially since their meeting had been cut short before.
He remembered the howl he had heard, Vashin's dad and couldn't help but feel a little nervous, was he around here somewhere? Well he was sure that everything would be okay, it just had to be.
Was this little red wolf a relative of his? He tilted his head in her direction and decided this probably wasn't the case, there seemed to be too big an age difference.
You like bein 'lone? He asked the little wolf, remembering what it had been like for him when he had wandered the forest by himself.
Vashin be big now. He added to the silver wolf in greeting, his tail wagging fiercely. shia-san Soul lay there, eyes shut tightly, tring to sleep, but couldn't. Her stomach just wouldn't stop. She slowly stood, with a grumble, and shook her head slightly. Her tail curling about her hind legs. She sat, eyes hanging slightly, sun shinging about her. Her ears swirling about, listening to the sounds of the woods. She then stood up, and stretched her tense muscles. Her maw covered in dirt. She shook her pelt of the access dirt, then stood there for a moment. Soaking in her last minute of direct sunlight. She then rolled her head back, and let out a howl. One asking if anyone she knew was around...and if not, she'd move on possibly? Kamiki Vashin seemed very pleased Ieshia remembered his named. He puffed a bit, his tail continuing to wag. "Hi Ieshia!" He looked rather proud of himself.
He looked towards Gizmo, and lowered his ears a bit modestly. "I guess so! Akui's been teaching me to hunt, so I've been eating a lot." His ears pricked back up as a thought crossed his mind.
"Hey, are you guys hungry?" He pawed lightly at the ground and looked back over his shoulder. "I have deer I killed and, well, you guys can come help me finish it off if you want!" He convienantly forgot to mention Akui did most of the work, or the fact the rest was susposed to be for Nyx and his sisters... but he wasn' very worried. He could just catch another deer, right? Kamiki Akui and Vashin both hear the friendly howl of another wolf, and respond in kind. Ary Keeyara Ieshia titled her muzzle upwards slightly as she thought of the best answer to Gizmo's question. There wasn't much she could do about being along anyway, she mused. She replied with a small wolf like shrug, "It's not like I have much of a choice...but I am used to it by now."
She glanced at Vashin and smiled at his excitement. Yes, he was very entertaining. At the mention of food her eyes glittered. She could feel the saliva in her mouth, heavy and sticky as it was. Thinking little of who else the food might also belong to Ieshia agreed, "Alright, if you don't mind." shia-san Souls ears, not ready for the return call, flick and make her jolt slightly. She stood, tail wagging now, and began off towards the return call. Although she couldn't make out whom the wolves were, she could sense a kindness in the lot. Her fur twitched slightly as she trudged fowards, tail curled half-way. As she reached the site, she could spot three older wolves, and some young pups. She let out a bark, a welcoming alert of her approaching. Kimaria Gizmo nodded his slender muzzle, trying to remember the last time he had eaten...it had been a while. He glanced down at the red pup beside him and his maw parted in a wolfish smile. It was so good to be out and meeting new wolves. This was what life was all about!
His tail continued to wag as he took a few paces towards the silver male, I be hungry, yes. He said a little sheepishly, pawing at the ground. I no eat for while, be looking for friend and forget all other things.
His ears pick up as yet another howl echoes around them and he turns his head in the direction, remaining silent as he hears Vashin and another wolf reply. The forest was alive with his brethren and he hadn't even realised it!
At the red wolf's words he felt his heart drop a little, she was so much like him it was like looking at a mirror (if you overlook the colour of their fur). He nudged at her with his nose, You like me, I used think like that.
He then trotted over to stand beside Vashin, glancing over his shoulder to make sure she was following. He wouldn't leave her alone. Kamiki "Great!" Vashin turned and started back into the wood, looking behind his soulder to make sure they were following. It was only a little way to the carcass. Chasing off a few crows and a rat that had started to claim the kill, Vashin sat down next to it, indicating thet they could have their fill. There's a decent portion eaten by Akui and Vashin themselves, but plenty remained. Kamiki Vashin tilted his head at Gizmo. "If you're hungry... you should eat...?"
He stood up, hearing the other wolf return his howl. When Soul came into site (score...another female), he gave a friendly greeting, gesturing to the kill. "Hungry?" Ary Keeyara Ieshia's ears twitched thoughtfully at Gizmo's words. Pushing it from her mind she got to her feet. She bounded after the two adolecents quickly, trying to keep up with their pace. She did a pretty good job for a little pup, but no more then was expected for one her age.
Upon reaching the carcass she took in a huge breath of air, taking in the sweet scent of fresh meat. Her tail wagged from side to side to show her pleasure. After seeing Vashin give them a gesture that they could eat she raced over, digging her baby teeth into the raw flesh. Kimaria Gizmo sniffed at the meat and couldn't believe how wonderful it smelt! His mouth watered as he took a small piece and chewed gently, eyes fixed on those around him instead of the meal. He was still a little nervous about the other wolves around, but he decided that if something did happen then he would have to deal with it in a calm manner.
His ears twitched as he heard yet another welcoming bark and he raised his head to spy a rather beautiful looking female approaching. She also seemed to be rather friendly and his tail wagged automatically as his admiring gaze followed her movements. shia-san Soul wagged her tail slightly. Her tounge making its round about her maw, and quickly walked towards the deer. Its aroma smelt pleasant, and made soul drool thick saliva. She moved about the other wolves and sniffed the thick hide of the hind leg, and she quickly dug into it. Tring not to seem starving. She rose her head, her face covered with blood and bits of meat, and grinned slightly. 'Th-ank you' She smiled again and shuved her head into the meat once more, devouring it hungrily. Edit: soul rose her golden eyes towards the one called Gizmo, and couldn't help but smile while eating the meat. Her tail wagged slightly. So many male wolves ready for mating. xD Kimaria Well the rusty coloured femme sure seemed hungry! He took a small step back, canting his head and letting his golden eyes watched her. Was she a friend of Vashin's too? The silver wolf sure was popular! It made him wish he had never left the freelands, it was so full of life.
His tail twitched and he sat back on his haunches, watching the older female and the younger one feast. It was good to be around so many wolves, very good indeed.
When the female turned to glance at him he tried to divert his gaze, oh she was so pretty! Her fur was like nothing he had ever seen before, so soft looking and snuggly...wait! What on earth was he thinking?
He gave a small whuff and turned his attention to more interesting things, like that tree...isn't it a strange shape! shia-san Soul quickly felt flushed as the wolf began to stare at her eating habits. She licked her chops, and suddenly felt rude. She just ran through and ate up their meat...She stood and walked over towards the male who had invited her to dine. 'I'm sorry, i'm so rude.' she started, her stomach filled to the rim 'I'm soul...I can help hunt another deer for you and you're friends....' she peered to the group of wolves then to the male once more, her ears flopped over slightly in shame. Kamiki "Hi I'm Vashin!" Vashin eagerly offered as Soul came closer. He did his best to puff himself up to look bigger and gave the biggest, toothiest smile he could muster. "Help yourself, I can always get more", he boasted.Meanwhile, Akui gave a friendly smile to the smaller pup. "I have some food you can have, do you want to follow me?" Slowly, and making her the little green Whisper stayed behind him, he made his way to the kill.
He gawked for moment at the growing congregation (and dwindling deer) that had gathered. "Uhm, go help yourself...." he offered to Whisper, after he recovered. There was still enough left for the pup, but it was rather obvious there would be slim pickings once everyone had their fill.
He leveled his gaze on Vashin, who was far too interested in a brown female at the moment to even barely notice he has returned. stare Ary Keeyara Ieshia nawed on the meat, savioring its taste and the slow feeling of getting full. The weight in her stomach began to grow and the rumbling of her tummy faded away. Glancing up from her eating with simply her eyes she saw the new, older female came to eat. Thinking little of it, she turned to finish what she had started.
Once she thought she had had enough she sat back and let out a contented sigh, her muzzle covered with blood though you could barely see it. She looked at Gizmo to see him oogling at the older female. She also noted his awkwardness and his new decision to stare at trees. Older boys were strange, she concluded. Kimaria Gizmo watched, a strange feeling - maybe jealousy - stirring inside of him as the female went up to Vashin and began to speak to him. What was so good about him? he thought with a small tilt of his head. Well he was the one who gave her the food, when all he did was stare at her.
With a small sigh he got up and went over to the red pup, flopping down beside her and licking at a paw. Pup be full? He questioned, deciding to try and get to know her better, what be name? He thought he remembered Vashin calling her something, but what he didn't remember. shia-san Soul grinned to Vashin. Her tail swaying slightly. 'Nice to meet you Vashin, but I can and will help you catch another deer. Wasn't right for me to barge in and eat-' she was quickly silented by the sound of foot steps and a new scent approaching. She turned her head slightly, and her tail began to wag again. Soul quickly thought. 'Wow...i've found myself on hormone lane'Kamiki Akui cleared his throat and took a few steps foward, imposing himself between Vashin and Soul. "Its quite allright, help yourself. Vashin needs the practice of catching a deer all by himself anyway," he gave a glare back towards his son, before flashing a handsome grin at her (like father like son...). "Its a pleasure to meet you! I'm Akui"
Giving his son another pointed look, he went over and sat beside Gizmo and Ieshia. "And who might you be?" Ary Keeyara Ieshia watched the interaction between Vashin, Gizmo, and Soul with little interest. Two males drooling over a female at her current age wasn't very amusing, though when she grew she might change her mind. Letting out a sigh through her nose she glanced at Gizmo who had decided to come lay down beside her.
Licking her mouth of blood, she pulled her right ear to once side to catch his question. Feeling the heavy feeling in her belly she knew she was full. She gave a small nod, flicking her tail to one side, "Yep, I'm full. As for my name, I'm Ieshia." Kimaria That pretty name Gizmo nodded, twitching his ears and sniffing at the meat once more before speaking again. Me Gizmo... He trailed off, canting his head as he wondered if she had already known that, his memory truly was terrible.
Then with a swish of his tail he nipped at one of ehr ears playfully only to find another scent filling his nose. He raised his eyes to that of a large male wolf...the alpha? Instantly he shrank back, seeming to hide behind the little pup (what a coward) his tail slinking between his legs as he peeked up at the large wolf through his tear-drop shaped eyes.
H-hello sir, I Giz-Gizm and a- He trailed off, staring fearfully up at the large male. Kamiki Aku tilted his head at the smaller male. "GizGiz is your name?" Ary Keeyara Ieshia felt Gizmo n** at her ear. Getting up as he pulled away she couldn't help but bit at him playfully in return. Seeing him cower however, made her turn around to see what she was looking at. She looked right at Akui and blinked her gold eyes, puzzled at Gismo's reaction to him. Yeah, she could tell he was an alpha but...did that make him mean and nasty? She smiled brightly at Akui, "Hello, sir! I'm Ieshia!" Kimaria Gizmo turned his head to glance at the red pup, she didn't seem to have any fear and he supposed that it was a little silly to be scared of a wolf he didn't know. He guessed strange things just frightened him a little.
With a small wag of his tail he got up, nudging playfully at the pup who had introduced herself with no problem at all. He found courage in this and turned to glance up at the male, somewhat shyly.
No...Gizmo be name. He bowed his head a little. shia-san Soul quickly stood once more, the grass irritating her full belly slightly. Her tail at a slight sway, she was bored. She sighed softly and wandered back towards the deer. Sniffing at it instictivly. Although she wasn't hungry, she was bored...and that normally led to hunger for her. Her tounge licked at the inside and she began to pick at it.

Thread RP||21st MarchRed pup, Aeria, and the return of Kam-Kam Kimaria Gizmo twitched his ears forward, yawning and returning to nibble at the left over meat. He felt a little more relaxed now, especially that it seemed the others meant him no harm.
His golden eyes moved over the small collection, brushing over the red form of the pup, the dark large figure of the alpha and then settled once again on Soul who was shifting into a more comfortable position.
He licked his lips and pulled a small piece of meat away from the carcass, chewing on it thoughtfully. Sirenz Cheza peeked out from the bushes at a member of her pack. "I don't think I've met that wolf yet"... blaugh Kamiki Akui's ears perked up. "Hello Cheza! Help yourself..." Akui motioned to the dwindling remains of a deer carcass. "This is Soul, Iesha, and Gizmo." Ary Keeyara Ieshia snorted, rolling over on her back. She was already getting bored. How could the other wolves just stand around and talk? Puppy needs for entertainment were quick to consume her. Rolling over again she pushed herself to her feet, loping randomly around the area. Wasn't there anything interesting to do? Despite her full stomach she still wanted to do something where she could really get moving. She caught sight of Cheza coming over, but even this didn't hold her attention for long. Friday_Dora Aeria stepped cautiously into the freelands, stopping and then looking about intently. She had followed Gizmo's scent after waking and discovering he was gone, and it had led her out of the pack territory and to this point.
She sniffed the air a bit, noticing that it had grown stronger. There too were the scents of other wolves. Her ears flattened slightly out of concern. Were they enemies? Was Gizmo alright?
The young wolf began to walk slowly towards what she assumed would be a small gathering of wolves and, hopefully, Gizmo. Sirenz The omega wolf lifted her head up as she met the gaze of her pack member. A deer carcus was spread out in front of Akui and 3 other friendly looking wolves. Cheeza trotted over cautiously and sat on her haunches a few feet away. "Thank you!" she yapped as her stomach growled from hunger. How kind that these wolves were letting her eat with them instead of after them. lol Kimaria Gizmo looked up at yet another new face and gave a small yip. letting his tail wag very gently from where he lay, his attention sweeping back to the little crimson pup who had gotten up and was moving away.
He supposed all this lying about must be rather boring for such an energetic, adventurous pup as her and with a small yip he pulled himself back up onto his feet, and shook his fur vigorously.
With a small bark of warning he leapt over to her, raising a paw to tap at her hind legs. Ary Keeyara Ieshia yipped at the sudden attention, feeling the touches on her hind legs. She made a few, small, quick bounds to turn around and face Gizmo. She stood on her back feet and fastened his right ear between her baby teeth, playfully tugging on it. Her tail wagged from the new found game and her eyes sparkled with excitement. Friday_Dora Aeria tilted her head curiously as the black and blue wolf greeted her. She smiled slightly and nodded. Hello. I hope I'm not interrupting anything... I'm just looking for someone. Kimaria Gizmo tugged lightly in her grasp, giving a small bark of excitement as he reached out once more to pin down her tail which was wagging to and fro. Then leaning his weight sideways he rolled over onto his side, his four legs flailing in the air as he tried to bat at her face with the pads of his paws.
Then suddenly a familiar scent touched at his nose, a VERY familiar scent. This momentarily distracted him from the game, leaving an opening for the female to get in yet another play attack. Friday_Dora She noticed another wolf wagging her tail. She had lovely dappled coloring and seemed to be quite friendly. Aeria wagged her tail back in response. Ary Keeyara "Ieshia," She told Cheza, though the sound was muffled because of the ear in her mouth. Being distracted for a few moments, Gizmo was able to pin her tail, making her yap and let go of his ear. She nipped at his paws as they were suddenly in her face. When he suddenly stopped flailing she took her opening, jumping right on top of him and grabbing a knew hold on his ear. Kimaria Golden orbs widened in surprise as he glanced over and saw none other than Aeria! His heart skipped a beat and he suddenly wondered how she had found him? Would she be mad at him for leaving? He hadn't had a chance to explain to her that he had gone in search of Kam-Kam.
His stream of thoughts were interrupted as the red pup landed on him and he squirmed to break free, letting out a small squeak of surprise as her small puppy teeth clipped around his ear once more.
He parted his maw, tongue lolling as he wriggled to get free, his tail wagging madly as he rocked his body to try and throw her off balance. Oh to be beaten by a pup! What what Aeria think of him now?! Friday_Dora Aeria smiled at Cheza and trotted over. Hello, I'm Aeria. I'm from another pack, I was just wondering if any of you had seen...
A flash of white and brown caught her attention and she turned quickly to see Gizmo being pounced on by a red and black pup. Gizmo! Ary Keeyara Ieshia refused to let go, thinking they were still playing. She was completely oblivious to the fact that he wanted to get away. Continuing to tug on his ear, she pushed her weight, which wasn't much, down on him trying to make him stay still. Her tail thrashed back and forth, for she was clearly enjoying herself. Catching the sound of Gizmo being called she stopped to see Aeria. Apparently this was why Gizmo was struggling so much. With a sigh she let go, getting off of him. So much for their game. Kimaria Gizmo wagged his tail, glancing over in Aeria's direction with a sheepish expression, atleast she didn't seem mad with him. What? Aeria mad? Surely such a pure and innocent soul such as she could never get angry. Well he would make sure he never made her annoyed, or try his best to.
He continued to wriggle, and was quite surprised when the pup suddenly retreated, had he done something wrong?
He got up and shook his fur, pausing to glance at the red pup, You 'kay? He asked softly. We play 'gain soon. He promised, moving over to nudge at her with his snout.
He paused a moment longer before trotting the short distance to Aeria, his tail wagging as he reared up slightly, tapping at her face with an extended paw. Aeria find Gizmo! He exclaimed happily, it was so good to see her again. Ary Keeyara Ieshia snorted, moving away from his nudge. She walked over to the edge of the area, ears drooping. These older wolves were so boring. Reminding herself that she didn't HAVE to stay, she glanced out at the trees. Perhaps it was best if she headed off again...after all, she was full now. Her tail twitched to one side as she thought of what she could do to find something to hold her interest. Friday_Dora Aeria swatted back at Gizmo, laughing. I sure did! She sat down and cocked her head. So this is where you've been, off playing with puppies? she added with a smirk.
The pup that Gizmo had been playing with seemed to be rather upset that their game was over. Don't let me interrupt, I didn't mean to be an intrusion. Kimaria Gizmo caught his breath, moving over to press his nose against her shoulder, drawing in her scent in one deep breath. It was so good to be by her side again!
His ears dropped a little at her statement, yes he had been sidetracked from his purpose, but it had been good to forget he was getting older, to be a puppy again. Playing helped him forget his worries and his problems.
I search for Kam-Kam, met new wolf. He swung his head slowly round to regard the collection of them. You play too? He asked shyly. More the merrier...right? Friday_Dora Aeria nodded. She remembered Kamali going off.
Her ears perked forward. Can I? If your friend does not mind? Aeria's tail began to wag slightly. Kimaria Gizmo got up onto his paws and nodded, ears drawn forward to full attention before glancing over at the red pup. She certainly needed to keep her mind occupied that was for sure, had he been like that when he had been that young? He tilted his head in thought but found that he couldn't remember, all that seemed to have happened so long ago.
Me think it be fine, she like play. He nodded, and dragged his admiring gaze away from Aeria once more. She had grown into a fine young female over such a short amount of time.
He took a small step towards the pup and gave a bark, hoping she would come over, it would be good to introduce his two friends and have them all get along. Ary Keeyara Ieshia's ears fell back as she heard the bark. Turning her head she saw it was Gizmo. Her eyes narrowed slightly in both frustration and confusion. He was doing oogly eyes again, but this time at Aeria. Why did he do that? It was so strange! Letting out a breath she turned and loped over to him and Aeria, ears ears still twitching thoughtfully. Once she reached them she asked rather bluntly, cocking her head to one side, "Yeah...?" Friday_Dora Aeria looked down at Ieshia, trying to be as friendly as possible. Hi there, is it alright if I play with you and Gizmo? Her tail continued to wag. Kimaria (( Giz: ;____; I'm sowiee! )) Gizmo's tail wagged slowly back and forth as he lowered his head a little as the pup approached. He hoped she wasn't too mad with him for breaking off their game so early, but he hoped she would agree to another game.
At the tone in her voice however he felt his heart sink a little, and hoped that she wouldn't stay too mad at him for long.
He turned his gaze back to Aeria briefly, This be Ieshia. He spoke her name slowly, hoping he remembered it right, she 'lone but she like play, we all play game? He paused as Aeria spoke to the pup then turned his attention back to the little femme, she Aeria, you want play? You choose game to play?Ary Keeyara Ieshia's ear moved to one side giving her a very thoughtful expression. She glanced from Aeria to Gizmo and then back. Gizmo always seemed to look funny around the older females...almost like he was sick. Maybe he just WAS sick and didn't feel like showing it to her. After a moment longer in thinking she replied, "I'm not sure Gizmo wants to play. I think he's sick or something." She glanced at Gizmo, hearing his version of the invitation, "You shouldn't play if you're sick." Friday_Dora Aeria's eyes grew wide and she turned to Gizmo. Are you sick? What's wrong? It was probably something he'd caught from the new wolves. That had to be it. Yep, she should have known better than to trust those strangers.
Her upper lip curled slightly and she took a couple steps back. Maybe we shouldn't play, you know, if you're contagious... Ary Keeyara Ieshia blinked, her ears falling back, eyes dulling slightly. She was clearly offended and upset, for none of the wolves here had ever bared their teeth at her before. Contagious? What did that mean? Did they think she was sick? She shook her head, ears flopping slightly, "I'm not sick!" Kimaria If a wolf could blush then Gizmo would most likely have been bright red right now. He took the smallest of steps back, his side brushing up against Aeria as he did so. This contact casued him to jolt sideways, his head snapping up to look at Aeria as she stared at him.
He whimpered, not too sure what to do or say, and the concern in her voice caused his heart to contract violently. Then she took a step back and he lowered himself a little, gazing up at her desperately. This was all going very wrong!
N-no, Gizmo not sick! He swallowed nervously and his throat suddenly felt very dry, his eyes darting between the two females. Friday_Dora But she said that you were sick... Aeria looked between Gizmo and Ieshia before moving to stand next to Gizmo and nuzzle gently at his fur. You're okay then? That's good, I wouldn't want you to be sick.
Relieved but confused, Aeria looked back to Ieshia. You're not sick... I'm sorry, I was worried. Ary Keeyara "Well if he's not sick why does he act so funny around big girls?" Ieshia asked, her voice was lower and more careful. She couldn't shake the feeling of being unwelcome now, even if Aeria said she was sorry. Perhaps it would be best if she left now...besides, it seems, no matter how funny he acted, Gizmo would rather play with Aeria. And Aeria had bared her teeth at Ieshia...which made Ieshia feel estranged. Kimaria Gizmo let out a small sigh, the tension that had gathered in his muscles slowly drained away and he stood straighter, glancing at Aeria through the corner of his eyes.
What had Ieshia meant by her comment? How had he looked sick? He had a feeling in his stomach that he knew what she had seen, and let out another tiny whimper. Was he really that obvious that a little pup could tell something was up with him?
He could tell that the pup was a little startled by Aeria's reaction and he lowered himself onto his belly, peering at the youngster with a kindness in his eyes. Ieshia no worry, Aeria kindest wolf I know. His tail twitched slowly as he once again fought against an admiring glance in the females direction.
I-I act funny round girls? Gizmo stammered, ears drooping a littel at this declaration, and trying his hardest not to make eye contact with Aeria. Friday_Dora Aeria shrugged. I don't think you act funny. You just act like... Gizmo. His behavior seemed perfectly normal to her. It was possible that was because he was the only wolf she really spent any time with, but... it was normal. Right?
She lowered her head to Ieshia, whining a little bit. I am sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel bad. I was just confused why Gizmo would be sick. Ary Keeyara Ieshia found it hard to believe Aeria didn't see how funny Gizmo was acting. Her mind became more and more confused until she decided to give up. What did it matter anyway? If Gizmo wanted to act funny, he could act funny. Hearing Aeria's appology made her feel a little better, but she was still rather confused. "If he was sick, though he isn't, why would it be my fault?" She asked. Kimaria Gizmo stood up suddenly, shaking his fur so that it fluffed up and then gave a small bark. Time to change the subject, and the quicker the better, because sooner or later one of them was going to figure it out.
He glanced between the two before arching his back in a play bow, yawning wide as he waited for the two girls to decide on what game they wanted to play.
We play now? He asked meekly, with a tilt of his head. Friday_Dora I didn't say it was your fault, but it Gizmo was sick he would have caught it from somebody and-
She was interrupted by Gizmo's bark and sighed in relief. Ieshia asked lots of questions, and Aeria didn't have sufficient answers for all of them.
Yes, we can play now. What are we going to play? Lethrossen Kamali wound his way through the wooded area, occasionally coming to open areas. Boy was he bored, still confused from his visit to Monenoke, and more than a little hungry. He hadn't eaten in a few days now, and he knew he'd need nourishment soon. But he could wait a little longer.. couldn't he?
He blinked as a lazy wind swept past. He swore Gizmo's scent was carried on it.. and a lessar but still farmillur scent.. Aeria he thought. But some strange wolf mixed in. He turned, long limbs taking him in that direction, all lanky grace. Ary Keeyara Ieshia grimaced, her ears falling back. She didn't like not having her questions answered all the way! Her tail flicked to the side in annoyance, her voice giving off that impression as well, "Fine, we can play now." Thinking of games wasn't exactly what she wanted to fill her mind with at the moment, still confused by the conversation and Gizmo's strange actions. "How about tag?" she asked, thinking of something random because she was still slightly distracted. Kimaria Gizmo beamed, tag was a good game indeed! He remembered the last time he had played that with Aeria, she had fallen into the water when running away, and boy she had looked adorable.
His eyes glossed over as he thought back to these memories, ones that not even a forgetful wolf like him would ever forget. Then as quickly as he had gone he returned to the real world, shaking his head and turning to glance at the females.
Tag be good game. He agreed with a wag of his tail, I it first! He loved to chase!
With a yip, he backed up a few paces before he turned around, giving them a chance to escape. Ary Keeyara Ieshia wrinkled her nose as she watched Gizmo get a funny look again. When was he going to stop that? Once he snapped back to his senses she heard him declare he was it. Reluctantly, she turned and loped away. Her motions were stiffer then before, betraying her current moodyness as she raced away. Friday_Dora Aeria yipped and turned on her heels, bounding off in the opposite direction of Gizmo. She settled into a comfortable lope, not wanting to run too fast and lose track of Gizmo and Ieshia. Lethrossen Kamali's long strides had taken up a quicker pase as he got closer. He wasn't paying attention low to the ground, or well.. no where near the ground. He almost fell right over Ieshia, and with a yelp, lept to the side.
"Oh.. oh I'm sorry.." he murmered quietly, eyes wide in disbelief. Was this the other wolf scent he had caught? Yes it must've. His gaze flickered around and landed on Gizmo, who was about to play.. tag he thought. "Gizmo!" He barked. Kimaria Gizmo waited a few moments for them to get far away enough, his thoughts wandering as he tried not to think of Aeria. It was becoming more and more difficult to get her out of his mind as of late, and he wondered whether possibly she could be...the one.
He huffed, shaking his head vigorously to clear his mind of that thought and then remembered the game. He turned around once more, letting his eyes dart about to try and locate his friends, and then he threw back his head to howl.
Then suddenly he heard a voice, a soft one but also one that he would never forget. He choked on his call and turned to face Kamali with wide-eyed amazement! It really was him!
He was torn between the desire to keep his promise to his friends and see Kam-Kam and then deicded he could do both. He dashed over, circled the pale wolf once, yipping his joy.
Kam-Kam!! You here! I be back! and with that he whirled around and began to chase, wondering who to go for first.
Ieshia appeared to be closer and with another yip he increased his speed. Ary Keeyara Ieshia barely noticed Kamali pop out of nowhere! Letting ou a yip she darted to the side to avoid being run over, her paws gaining very clumsy foot hold on the ground, causing her to tumble over head first. When she had stopped rolling she was sprawled out on the ground. She peeked her golden eyes open before pushing herself up again, her body aching slightly, "Owe...." Lethrossen Kamali's gaze went back to the little, female pup, and he looked embaressed, "are you alright?" He asked, hesitantly. He did not want to play tag, that was for sure. He wasn't much into the playing of games, as Gizmo had pointed out once, when they were puppies.
"Gizmo you grew.." he stated, watching them play. Kimaria His eyes widened as the pup lost her footing suddenly and he skidded to a halt, tumbling forwards in a clumsy manner and almost rolling head over heels. He had stopped a meter or so ahead of the pup and raised his head to glance at her.
Was she okay?
He was relieved to see her get up and smiled a little at her complaint, remembering all too well his own clumsiness that hadn't really ever left him.
He shook himself, grimacing at the dirt now covering his usually white fur and parted his jaws in a wolf equivelent to laughter. Then with an exciteable jolt he pounced over to the ruby coloured pup, reaching out to tap at the pup on the top of her head. You run fast! He panted cheerfully.
Then he eased himself up to stare at Kamali once more and nodded, Kam-Kam grew too, you find what look for? Then shaking himself once more he padded over to the green wolf, going to lay close to him and resisted the urge to yawn.
What a day!

Thread RP || 25th March '05Confessions of an Innocent Heart Friday_Dora Aeria grinned as she spotted Gizmo once more. Where did you go? she asked, head tilted slightly. It seemed that she just couldn't keep track of her friend. Kimaria Gizmo paused, startled that the young femme had just appeared from nowhere, and realised she had approached him from upwind. With a small bark of surprise he pounced forwards towards her, nudging her shoulder with his snout.
I sorry, I visit my friend Fae, you heard of him? He couldn't remember whether she had met him before. He masked wolf who came to our lands before, long time ago.
He glanced back over his shoulder in the direction he had came. He invite me to his land, you come too if like. Friday_Dora Fae... Aeria thought. He sounded familiar. Could he have been that dark wolf that startled her and Gizmo at the den?
She shook her head. No, I think I'm going to stay here for a while. You go, but stay safe. Kimaria Gizmo sat back on his haunches, yawning a little. He was rather tired to be sure and he hadn't slept much as of late. He wondered whether she remembered the wolf, and hoped that she didn't hate him as everyone else seemed to. He supposed however that everyone had a right to their opinion...just as long as they could back it up.
His ears drooped a little at her answer, but atleast he knew she would be perfectly safe here. There were lots of kind wolves in the area that would keep a lookout for danger, and he was sure it wouldn't be long before they could see each other again. He wanted to go with Fea, but he also didn't want to stay away from Aeria for too long. She was very dear to him, and whenever she wasn't close by he was always wondering about her.
You will be staying here for while? He asked her, glancing around and drawing in a deep breath. Perhaps he would come back here on his way back to the pack lands to meet up with her again in a few days time. Friday_Dora Aeria nodded. I'll be fine, there are lots of other wolves... they all seem nice. And I'd like to play with the pups some more. She laughed slightly.
You and Fea be careful, okay? There are lots of dangerous things in the woods. She leaned forward and nudged his cheek with her nose. I don't want anything to happen to you... Kimaria Yes the pups, he would miss playing with them, it was always so fun to forget your problems and just wallow in the innocence of puphood once more, but he also wanted to go with Fea. He had said his mate was a pup at heart, and he was sure she would be a lot of fun too.
Yes, all wolves here nice, they... He choked on his words as she moved forward to nudge him and his golden eyes widened in shock. Why was his heart beating so fast?
Umm...Aeria. He swallowed the dry lump that had built up in his throat, and blinked his eyes. What was he trying to say exactly? He felt a shiver run down his spine and his ears drooped a little. Friday_Dora Yes? Aeria's ears perked forward in anticipation of what he was going to say. Then suddenly he got a strange look about him. She frowned.
Gizmo, are you feeling alright? She hoped he wasn't "sick" again. Kimaria Gizmo snapped back to attention, raising his head to glance at her, N-no, I not sick. He swallowed again and the end of his tail twitched, why was his throat so dry?
Aeria...you. He frowned, shaking his head and risking another glance at her, she was suddenly so beautiful, so dear to him that he wasn't sure if he ever wanted to leave her side - even though he knew he must. You always be Gizmo's special friend. He glanced at the ground again, pawing nervously. W-when I with you, I feel happy, like there be no cloud in sky, no cold in winter. He huffed, suddenly annoyed at himself for not being able to explain the feeling inside of him, he paused and risked yet another look at her. Friday_Dora Aeria looked at Gizmo thoughtfully. You're my special friend, too. My best friend, even. Her tail wagged ever so slightly.
His words were a bit of a surprise, she had no idea that her presence could make him feel so happy. Gizmo... I feel happy when you're around, too. You're so kind, and sweet, and wonderful, and I forget what it was like being alone. She lowered her head and smiled shyly. Kimaria Gizmo blinked and he felt a great relief sweep over him, she felt that way too? Atleast now he knew that she considered him her friend, and he would make sure always to protect her when it was possible. Yet he was sure that it would be her protecting him also, it was in these times he wished he was a bigger and stronger male.
I glad you no feel 'lone no more, it no good to feel that. It nice to be with friends and those who make us happy. Gizmo sighed, his tail wagging slowly as he regarded her, she seemed suddenly shy and he found her suddenly even more beautiful.
He remembered her when they first met, she had been the first wolf ever to show him any kindness. She had stuck by him and although they had seperated, a part of her had always remained in his heart. This time it would be no different.
Haku told me...one day I find someone special, someone I want be with forever like he did with Lera. Gizmo moved, nuzzling at her hesitantly. I think... He swallowed again and let his eyes trail up to the sky once more. Aeria...I think you be that wolf for me. Friday_Dora Aeria took a deep breath and nuzzled Gizmo back. Her heart was fluttering in a strange manner. Gizmo, you really feel that way?
She had never imagined that anyone would ever be able to feel that way towards her. She didn't think of herself as a particularly desirable wolf, but Gizmo must have been able to see something that she didn't.
Her heart began to hammer faster and her knees felt like they were going to give out from under her. What was happening? She blinked slowly in an attempt to calm herself before looking back at Gizmo.
I... I feel the same. For you I mean. She couldn't help but grin as she spoke those words. You're my someone special, Gizmo. Kimaria His heart felt like it might burst free from his chest, especially when she nuzzled him back like that. It was such a strange but wonderful feeling to care for someone this much and have the feeling returned.
This had to be the happiest day of his life! He had never expected in a thousand moons that this beautiful female would ever consider him as a 'special' wolf. Yet here she was, saying these exact words. He wasn't sure what to do or say, bathing in the sheer joy of the moment was beginning to overtake his brain.
O-of course me like Aeria. His tail began to wag once more and his ears folded back as he lowered his head and pressed his muzzle up into the curve of her neck. Her fur tickled his nose but he didn't mind at all.
You be so pretty and kind, 'specially to Gizmo when he be silly pup. Friday_Dora Aeria laughed. I was a silly pup too... It's lucky we found each other that day.
Her tail started wagging frantically. She was feeling completely euphoric! Gizmo really cared for her, and she cared for him, and nothing could ruin the moment.
She turned so her face was pressed up against Gizmo's neck and inhaled deeply. Had he always smelled this good? She closed her eyes and smiled against his fur. Kimaria Gizmo chuckled, and let out a deep sigh, bringing himself closer to Aeria as she did to him. You be smartest wolf I know. He admitted softly, suddenly so glad that he had met her that fateful day in the cold forest.
A bird twittered in the tree above them, momentarily distracting him, and his ears drew forth, listening to the pleasant sound briefly before lowering his head and licking her cheek affectionately. After a moment he rested his muzzle against the top of her head, drawing in her scent so that perhaps it would stay with him forever.
Not that he would ever forget her scent.
He just feared that the days they spent apart it would begin to fade and grow cool, he didn't want that to happen. His ears drooped a little as he remembered that soon he would be saying his goodbyes and returning with Fea, but it wouldn't be forever. A couple of days and he would be trotting back to the freelands to meet her and everything would be wondrous again.
I never be this happy 'fore. He murmured softly, eyes closing briefly as he tried to memorise everything about this moment. It was something he never ever wanted to forget. Aeria make me happy, very, very happy. Friday_Dora I'm happy you're happy. Aeria sighed contentedly, closing her eyes. Everything seemed so perfect.
Then she remembered about Fea and how he and Gizmo were supposed to head off together. Her eyes opened again and she carefully moved her head from under Gizmo's muzzle so she was looking up at him.
When are you supposed to leave? she asked, the dissapointment evident in her voice. Kimaria A sharp twinge of pain tugged at Gizmo's heart as he stared into those enchanting eyes that belonged to - in his opinion - the most beautiful female in the forest.
How could he leave her when he loved her so much!? It was strange that only moments before he had been excited to visit Fea's home, now he longed to stay, never to leave her side again. Yet he knew he must, Fea needed to know that he was trusted, that he had a friend in this otherwise miserable forest.
I... He trailed off, ears twitching back in thought, I said I not be long, just come find Aeria then go. He hung his head, golden eyes watching her sadly. I not be long, couple of days then be back. I come back for you, never leave you 'lone. I not forget promise 'gain.
He moved forwards, nuzzling her with a little less shyness in the action, what was the point of being hesitant when feelings were out in the open? He paused, touched noses with her and tried his best to smile. It was a little shaky.
Then with slow movements he stood, watching her silently, it was hard to say goodbye and the word seemed bitter in his mouth. Friday_Dora Aeria nodded. I know you would never leave me, Gizmo. He couldn't, not after everything he'd said.
She stepped forward and licked his cheek as he had done earlier. She pulled her head back and smiled warmly at Gizmo.
I'll see you later, okay? Aeria avoided the word 'goodbye', since it wasn't goodbye. She knew they would each each other again. Kimaria Gizmo's heart thundered in his chest, she was the most amazing wolf ever and she liked him! More than liked him even. He felt like doing a back flip but decided he would probably be too clumsy to pull of such a stunt.
He stood for a moment, eyes closed as she returned the affectionate gesture and then she said the words. Okay so it wasn't goodbye, but there was still a strange ache in his chest.
He would come back soon.
See you later. He returned and then took a step back, he turned slowly on his heels, eyes fixed on her until he began walking in the opposite direction. For a moment he had the urge to run back to her, tell her he wanted to stay, but he knew this was for the best. It would make both of them stronger to be apart for a little while
He continued onwards, through the trees and back up the path on the way to the masked wolf. He paused only to throw back his head and howl, a wolf's promise of return, and a signal to Feanaro that he was returning.

Thread RP || 26th March '05Waiting the new arrivals Thalion Feanaro had laid his head down upon his paws and taken the opportunity to rest in his short hour or so of solitude. The sun was warm along his black-streaked back despite the chill of the wind. He was quite content with himself and everything that had occured in the more recent days. Perhaps one day he'd shed the horrid rumors of him and be able to live in peace until he could re-join his fallen pack. A howl broke the silence of the wood and caused the wolf's ears to perk up upon his head. His eyes opened slowly as he let out a rolling yawn, his tounge flopping from the side of his lips as the yawn came to a close. Gizmo was returning, but without a second howl he probibly hadn't been able to find his friend or she simply didn't wish to travel with them. Either was just as likely as the other. Standing himself up he shook out the debris that had clung to his fur and drew in a deep breath, releasing another powerful howl in response to Gizmos. He hadn't moved from where he had promised to wait so it shouldn't be much of a task to find him.
He turned forward, watching through the brush for the form of the smaller wolf to come bounding through. Kimaria Gizmo canted his head, pausing as he listened to the forest, it sounded suddenly so happy and cheerful and this effected him too. The little birds that flittered above his head were singing and playing, and the sun seemed brighter and more full than ever before. Perhaps this was a sign of things to come, that his life would become better than ever before.
Feanaro's howl joined in with the play of the others, it's strong and powerful sound easily distinguishable from any others he had heard. It also seemed to come from the place they had parted, the wolf had kept his promise, and although Gizmo had never doubted it, this further proved that this wolf was anything but a demon.
Lowering his head he pushed himself through the thick brush, closing his eyes as he nosed his way through it and then pushed himself once again out into their meeting point.
Feanaro was there waiting and he wagged his tail in greeting, trotting over to the large wolf and giving a small bark. You wait, I come back, but Aeria no want come, I come back for her later. A quick and somewhat efficient summary indeed. Thalion Feanaro smiled in greeting as Gizmo emerged from the brush of the forest. The young one seemed a bit hesitant now, but perhaps he was just one that traveled with someone more firmiliar to him on a normal basis. Listening to Gizmo's short summery of the situation he nodded slowly, "Well then, we shouldn't be gone long. I'd have to deprive you of your friend. Perhaps at a later time you might show her the way and pay myself and my mate a visit if you do in fact enjoy yourself in our lands." He turned his eyes up to the crows once again. The firmiliar form of Suuru errupted from the trees with a series of victorious caws, the wolf couldn't help but smile at his winged friend, "Well this is where you got yourself off to."
Suuru hoped that the pups he was leading had remained on his trail- he hadn't flown any faster than they could handle but it would be a pace that would hopefully clue them into their goal nearly being reached. He sent a few caws of greeting to both wolves, circling them a few times. He grinned at the sight of his old pup-friend. How large he had gotten! Still small for a wolf but much bigger than he had been. Backwinging slowly he landed on the pup's shoulder, turning his head to preen a bit of fur along Gizmo's ear in greeting.
Feanaro chuckled, watching the brush for a bit longer. "Well, Gizmo, it seems he missed you." Kimaria Gizmo drew forth both ears, his tail wagging slightly at the worsd in which the elder male spoke to him. It had been a long time since he had ventured into new lands, for this place he knew perhaps better than his pack's home now.
With a small nod of his muzzle he moved to stand beside the wolf, Yes I sure I like your lands, visits be good. He agreed without a moment's hesitance. He was already certain it would be a wonderful place.
The caw of the crow alerted the youngster, his head rose to the trees and took in the sight of the familiar dark flitter. He was rather glad to see the creature again, even if they couldn't talk in a language they both understood they seemed to have atleast some understanding of each other.
He miss Gizmo? I miss him. He be good friend but sometimes get himself in trouble, specially with pack. Thalion "I can imagine." He made a bit of a face, watching Suuru play with the pup's longer fur. Now and then the crow would turn his head around and watch out for something, "He's associated with me, Gizmo...your pack seems to think any that associate with me are just as guilty of the crimes pointed towards me as I am. It's a shame really..." He thought back to the two-legged he had brought to those lands, surely they'd have a heart enough to spare him and allow him to live with the older two legged, "Gizmo... did you happen to see a young two-legged in your land? He's a...friend of mine. I knew there was an older two-legged living among your pack and I had hoped that he'd watch over him for me." Suuru kept his eyes back, hoping to see the pups arrive soon. It would be so much easier for two wolves to lead two pups rather than one crow trying his luck with them....not to mention the fact that it would spare his wings from the pain of helping pups cross waters. He couldn't carry them by any means but he could lift the a bit. He knew his wings would ache and be sore the next day. Having a ride upon a wolf back was a god send to him. Kimaria Gizmo tilted his head back, watching the crow peck at his fur. His jaws parted in a smile and he turned back to glance at Fea. At his words the wolf's brow furrowed and he shook his head in annoyance. But he just crow, he no fangs to bite. He small and he no hurt anyone. They be stupid to think crow could do any harm. He remembered Lexi had taken a dislike to the crow, Gaara and Haku had also. Perhaps it was just a grown-up thing, but then Fea liked the crow and he was an adult.
He took a step forwards towards the adult male, pausing as he asked his question about the two-legs. He canted his head, blinking brilliant gold orbs as he tried to rack his memory for anything. Then after a bit his ears drooped and he shook his head. Me no remember seeing little two-legs. Just older one who fed me yummy food. He sighed, I sorry I not know more, but I sure they wouldn't hurt little two-legs pup.
He then realised they had not yet started and he caught the crow's line of vision, peering between the trees. We wait for something? Thalion "The crow are less of a threat than a pup was to them and yet they didn't hesitate to slay one without remorse... They don't know how to live as a true wolf, Gizmo. There are few in this wood who do. I've certainly never met another who knows how, and I am willing to bet my hind legs that you've never either." He smirked a bit, watching Gizmo as he thought back on the two-leggeds. It was a crying shame that the pup hadn't found him- he'd have made sure he had made it into the hands of the older two-legged. Knowing that that pack had no hesitation in taking the life of one of their own kind what was stopping them from thaking the life of the man-pup. He certainly hoped for the best.
Distracting himself he looked up and traced both Suuru and Gizmo's gaze back, "I did hear something. I left Suuru to keep watch over a pup that I had met- he wished to come and live with me and my mate... he seemed quite insistant dispite the risks involved." He drew in a long breath, "It would be nice to have a pack... company." Kimaria Gizmo trembled, yes his pack...they had slaughtered, but all wolves killed, they feasted upon the flesh of branch-monsters, long-ears and puff-tails. He too had eaten other animals, but there was a difference and Gizmo was aware of it. When he killed he did it to survive, because without the meat of other animals he would fade away. However, the slaughter of a crow - a creature which didn't exactly look that tasty - as well as one of their own kind was not negotiable.
I know one wolf who kind and not hurt others. He said slowly, tilting his head up to regard the masked wolf, of course he was referring to Aeria the female he had taken exceptional liking too. Her eyes had only been soft, never darkened with rage and she was so gentle and sweet. She was a proper wolf! He huffed and diverted his gaze once again to the forest.
At the last news Fea had to give him the wolf's tail wagged a little more, he was glad that Fea was beginning to get together his own wolves, and pups always brightened a place. He nodded his muzzle and moved closer to the larger male. Who is Suuru? He asked, not realising that the crow sitting upon his back had a name. He had always called the little creature 'flitter' and it had never occured to him the crow might have a proper name. Thalion Feanaro waited for only a bit, glancing to the crow on Gizmo's shoulder, "Well I suppose I was wrong... if the pups were following us we can move slowly so they can catch up, I don't want to keep you from returning to your friend after our little trip, and slow progress is still progress." He smiled making a low wuff to Suuru. The crow turned towards him, tiltling his head to one side. He nodded in the direction that the crow had come to them in and wuffed again. Suuru glanced between him and the direction. It seemed to understand after a few passes of his eyes. Bobbing in a nod the crow chirped a temperary farewell to gizmo before taking back to the air. He circled the two, cawing down to them before returning back the way he came. If he was guiding pups he would surely be able to find him and Gizmo again.
Smiling he turned and began walking, an easy pace surely two running pups could catch up. He'd alow Gizmo to walk beside him if he so chose, it made for better conversation anyway, "So why did you return to the free lands? It sounds like you're still with your... "brother's" pack."
Suuru wove through the trunks of the trees, cawing into the forest to annouce his direction of arrival to the two that he had been leading. Upon finding them he circled them both, cawing loud as anything. He wanted to perch again- to have something carry him to lighten the load for a change in pace. The longer they stalled the longer he'd be deprived of that pleasure. Kimaria Gizmo's nose twitched thoughtfully as he moved to stand behind the large male, eyes never leaving the trees as he raised his muzzle to test the air for any new scents. He curved his head back to examine the crow with his golden eyes before turning to Feanaro, listening to his words.
Progess be good, maybe they just easy distracted. He spoke, referring to the pups, he wondered where they could have gotten to, and his faith in the crow never faltered. Surely Flitter would not have left them alone when under orders from his wolf friend.
He turned and watched as the crow took flight and then moved to walk beside the older male. I went look for friend Kam-Kam. He explained, ears drawing forwards, I think he go to freelands and he be missing for while so I go look. Also want meet new wolves. I get lonely sometimes at pack, only with familiar faces. I want meet strange wolves and make new friends.
He wagged his tail a little and held his head higher, taking a sidelong glance at Feanaro. He hoped that the pups were following them. I return to brother when I done, he understand I sure.

Thread RP || 18th AprilThe Teen Duo Dagi Keefe was also quite excited to meet this wolf once again. He hadn't seen him since he was just a young pup that was barely able to walk. A part of him was scared though; would the brown wolf even remember him? Would he even care that the he had come all this way to see him? Would he be mad that he brought Naf along? Keefe frowned but quickly erased the expression; he had to keep a cheery outlook. He didn't want Naf to get scared or worried about anything. He kept his inner turmoil to himself.
Up ahead he spotted the two wolves as well. He recognized the brown one by scent; they had found him after long last. Keefe paused for a second as his mind searched for a name.... Feanaro that was it. He slowed significantly and stood infront of Naf; ready to protect her if Fea or his friend weren't as friendly as he remembered,
"Hello Feanaro... Remember me?" Thalion The masked wolf turned his head to the two approaching him with a smile. For a wolf he was quite large in both size and build. A burley creature licked up and down with both muscle and scars to show the life of hardship and survival he had endured. Still a young adult compared to the wolf's life span it was apparent that for the year he had lived it had been a rather nasty one. His eyes held a bit of arrogance to them but an understanding as well, a misty wisdom that many failed to see. Above all the golden eyes held a powerful flame of rebelion, he was a proud creature with strength to him and his beliefs. Smiling to the crow as the creature soared over both him and Gizmo, he offered a shoulder for the creature to perch itself.
"My, my, my... how you've grown, Keefe. You pups are starting to make me feel old." He chuckled, taking a few slow steps towards the pair, his eyes looking them both over, "I don't believe I've met your friend here. Would you honor me with an introduction.... for my part I am Feanaro and this is my...", he glanced over to Gizmo with a bit of a smile, "My brother Gizmo." He hoped the young one wouldn't be caught off by it, but Feanaro had never had anyone show such kindness towards him that he felt it only appropreate. Kimaria The small male couldn't help but take a step back as his eyes focused upon the approaching pair. They seemed to be a little younger than himself but they were strangers and he wasn't quite sure what to do or say. For a moment it seemed the shyness that had gripped him through his puphood now caught hold of him once more and he remained silent.
His pale ears swivelled around to attention however, strength remaining steady as Feanaro stood beside him, and then suddenly the masked wolf moved forwards to greet them.
He was sure that Fea had said he was too meet up with pups but...these were much older than pups and he hadn't met many others of similar age to him other than Aeria. This in itself was enough to confuse him, for how did he act with others of his own age? He quivered a little moving to stand further behind the brown wolf as if he could just disapear from sight.
It was then that his older friend chose to introduce him and the little male's eyes widened a little at being referred to as a 'brother'. The last person who called him that was Haku - oh and how he missed that large wolf - but being given the title by this warrior of a wolf made him feel proud. It gave him the strength needed, and for that moment Gizmo felt suddenly brave, brave enough to say a small; Hello.
His voice was steady even if it was a little quiet and he let his eyes wander over the strangers. One a deep purple and black and the other a young female who was mostly tan. Thalion Feanaro turned his head to Gizmo with a smile as the young one piped in with a greeting. "Come come now, Gizmo...a brave one such as yourself doesn't need to stand back there." He coaxed, gesturing with a nod for the pup to come and stand up beside him. The crow upon his shoulder turned his head to the side, considering the pink-nosed wolf with a crow's equivalent of a smile.
Turning back to the other two he continued, "I doubt the either of you have met Gizmo here but never again will your paths cross a more virtuous soul." Dagi Keefe shrunk back a little at a closer inspection of the wolf. Sure they had met before but their meeting was brief. To tell the truth, Keefe never thought he'd see Fea again so this meeting was quite a surprise. He looked Fea over quickly; noting his pelt and scars. He didn't look all too old and if he was he seemed to have aged gracefully. His amber gaze then slid over to the light colored wolf that was more his age. He shook his head to confirm that he didn't know Gizmo and then peered over to Naf with a light smile,
"Oh, this is Nafeeza. We've been traveling together" He sighed and then spoke to Naf, "Naf, this is Feanaro, the wolf we've been looking for. Told ya we'd make it eventually"
He let out a small grin and turned back to Feanaro; giving Gizmo a nod as a greeting.
"Nice to meet you Gizmo, I'm Keefe" pinkdog Nafeeza watched Keefe approach the male, rooted to the ground a safe distance behind him. The large wolf seemed pleasant enough, introducing himself and the smaller wolf, and making Naf feel rather ashamed for her sudden timidness. The tan wolf stepped stoutly foreward beside Keefe, her back rigid in a polite greating.
"Hello Feanaro, hello Gizmo. I'm..." she trailed off for a moment, realizing in time that Keefe had already introduced her. "..happy to finally meet you!" She grinned broadly at her victory in managing to finish the sentance, her posture relaxing. "Do you always keep so many crows around you?" The question had Naf's familiar twang to it as she seemed to ease right back into her energetic, outspoken self. Thalion Feanaro chuckled, turning his gaze up towards the branches of the gnarled trees above them. Crows watched him from them, some were flying about, others had perched themselves. Some preened their feathers and others simply watched. Here and there one would caw to another one or quarrel with a smaller bird. It was one of the first questions anyone would ask him when first meeting him but then again a wolf with companions such as these was an odd sight he supposed. "Indeed I do...they are my friends and my spies. I can't understand them verbally but you can tell things from them. A crow always knows when a storm will come- wheather that storm's from the sky or elsewhere." Suuru turned his head to reguard both pup's reactions. Things were certainly going better than he thought they would. Now the only question in the crow's mind was if they all would join up with his master.
Feanaro canted his head to the side slightly in a curtious bow to the new comer. "I'm pleased to meet you... and to see you both have done well." He smiled, rolling his powerful shoulders back with a sigh, "You both must be powerful wolves to have come this far with only a crow to guide you. I can't say I'm suprised, Keefe here was a strong pup when I first met him. Are you planning on joining us as well, Nafeeza?" pinkdog Nafeeza's gaze followed Feanaro's up to the trees. She was startled to see them all just sitting on the branches above their heads, not that she found them to be particularly dangerous. Her jaw fell open slowlly in a gaping, tired stare as the big wolf talked. She liked his voice, a smooth rumble, deeper than Keefe's, lulling her. Snapping her head back to attention, she blinked at Feanaro as if she'd just been awoken, answering his question instantly with loyalty.
"I'll follow wherever Keefe goes." It seemed obvious to her that she would continue with him after they had gone this far. After all, they were a pack of four now! That was like.. twice as many!! Thalion "It's a dangerous lot... Just a warning to you both. I told Keefe about it when he was a pup but it's only fair that I give the warning once again...", he reguarded her quite seriously, his golden eyes showing no hint of a lie in them, "I am a lone wolf, a wolf that is hated and feared wherever I have gone, hunted like a criminal and shunned like an exile. I've raised many pups and all have abandoned me but one... the others vow to return and take my life. Gizmo here..." He turned and nodded towards him, "Is from a pack... that would kill me on sight if they had the speed to do so. The sister pack to that gave me half the scars I now carry..."
He took a slow step forward, "Walking with me promises two things- one that you will be hated by my enemys... and two that you will be trained under my paws to slip through them and avoid them until I can create a pack large enough to keep safe from the threat that they pose." Dagi Keefe also glanced up to the tree tops and looked over the crows. He had seen them in flight before and they were quite impressive then and they were pretty impressive now. Keefe looked to Fea with a slight grin of amusement, it was so amazing how one wolf could have control of such an enournous number of animals; he had trouble keeping track of himself and Naf as it was. His eyes then flickered back down to Fea and beamed with pride as the brown wolf spoke so kindly of them. It was true that the journey had been though but they had made it through and were unscathed by it; perhaps they were strong indeed...
His eyes then looked to Naf; head still facing forward. They had changed from pride to a soft, kind, and affectionate gaze. Did she really mean that? There had been times where he thought she'd just leave to find her parents or what not when they arrived at their destination but her words proved otherwise. He was suddenly extremely glad to have met her.
Keefe nodded solemnly as Feanaro once again spoke of the risks of joining him. He was older now but he still remembered what he had been told as a pup. His descision still remained: he'd go with Fea. He wasn't another one of those pups that he'd be raising. He was grown up enough already and capable enough to make his own descisions keep his promises. He didn't know why the others had turned on Fea but he felt it wasn't his right to go nosing about in the brown wolves' business. Keefe's posture straightened to make him look bigger, he gave Fea a noble nod and a smile,
"I have not changed my mind Feanaro, I will go with you. I'm not a pup anymore, I'll help protect you and the rest of your pack if need may be... I'll be strong... I'll learn to be strong" pinkdog Nafeeza couldn't help but take a step back as Feanaro took a step foward with the ill-boding warning. She stopped there though and straightened, mimicing Keefe's prideful posture.
"I can do it.." She said gently, partly to herself and Keefe, partly to Feanaro but barely loud enough for any of them. Instead, her nose slipping into the air in an act of defiance, silently renewing her pledge to follow Keefe.
She wondered to herself what had caused the other wolves to hate Feanaro so. Why would pups turn on their mentor? The scar on his brown pelt spoke of her naivete but she did not understand. Dagi Keefe's smile faded a bit as he saw Naf's hesitation once Feanaro had given his warning. Suddenly he felt bad, did she really want to keep going with him even though this was a matter of life and death? He sure hoped he hadn't dragged her into something she really wasn't ready for. He took a step closer to her and moved his head toward her shoulder; just barely touching her fur in a hesitant attempt at a nuzzle. He'd keep his promise to her to,
"Don't worry Naf, I'll always look out for you. You'll be safe with me" pinkdog Naf felt something brushing lightly over her shoulder, like butterfly wings, and looked down to see what it was. She was pleasantly surprised to see Keefe and knew that she could do it as long as Keefe was there. She smiled at him greatfully,
"You better!" She joked, cracking the tense silence.
Her paws flexing in the dirt. Now that her nerves had settled, she was growing excited again. Maybe Faenaro was a lone wolf, maybe he was being hunted by other wolves, but they were still a pack now, right? She bubbled with energy to start whatever "training" it was the big wolf had mentioned. Looking over at Keefe again she wondered how much he knew about their future. Her tail swayed slightly, then paused and sway again. Thalion "So long as I live there will be no need to worry, I've fought many battles and have lived with both the scars to prove it and the experience to fight more in the future. Neither of you will be harmed by those others...", he smirked a bit and chuckled at the mention of a "pack"... lords if only. "I can't say we're a pack... not quite yet. In time perhaps, but for now I prefir the word "Family." Gizmo here is a member to...." He wanted to down that pack, he honestly did... any pack that would allow a pup to be slain as a trator and flaunt about themselves as if it were a brave act had no right to be honored in any way, but for the sake of his friend and brother he'd hold his tounge and opinion to himself, "Another.. pack, but he is my brother just the same."
Looking up to the crows he took a deep breath only to release the powerful howl that would send a chill of hate and fear up the backs of those who spited him so. The crows exploded from the branches into the air in a cloud of caws and black wings. The howl could be heard for miles- as any wolf's could- but it would probibly seem to carry longer with the haunting addition of crows to it. Smirking he turned back to the others. "Shall we be on our way then?" He turned and began moving at a brisk trot, the crows circled the area then began off like a black cape over and through the trees. He spoke as he continued on, "If we do form a pack...you all will learn to live with the crows and use them as your guides. They fly over paths that none know of, secret ways that no wolf has dared entered, they know when there's danger ahead so you can move like shadows... avoiding what you wish to avoid. The paths are harder but will build your strength."
The concept of a pack was exciting... wolves moving in shadow under black wings, wolves so powerful by tredding the paths that tested them rather than the friendly ones, wolves that could seem to vanish... dark wolves. It was quite the idea but only an idea still. Kimaria Gizmo had been standing silently beside his newly gained brother, watching the two strangers as they conferred with Fea, all the while his heart beating rapidly in his chest. What if they declined the masked wolf's offer and decided this wasn't such a good idea. It would mean his friend would be alone once more, and even more vulnerable to attacks by certain wolves...his own pack.
What would Haku think of him if they could see him now, fratenizing with the enemy? Would they truly be mad at him? Would he be exiled? His ears drooped a little as he thought of the family he had left behind, all of them he held closely to his heart, especially one beautiful female he had left to roam the freelands. Was she okay? He could only hope and keep his promise of returning to her.
He snapped back to attention however as the others agreed to come with the older male and a wave of relief washed through him. However as he listened to their words of growing stronger he couldn't help but feel he would prove nothing but a hindrance. He neither had the skill or mind to fight with anyone, but would he feel different if something dear to him was threatened? Would he really allow that feverish anger to take over him if a friend...a loved one was being hurt? He shook his head and then stepped closer to his brother.
The dark brown wolf had raised his head and then in the next moment that powerful and haunting note was filling the remnants of Gizmo's skull. He took a small side-step and managed to hang on a moment longer before he too was drawn into the note, raising his muzzle and adding his own voice to the sorrowful yet powerful sound.
Then with a swift movement he cast one last glance at the new companions and followed Feanaro into the trees, glancing up briefly at the cloud of crows above him. He had never seen so many, but birds had never been creatures to scare Gizmo especially since his friendship with Suuru. He gave a small yip and quickened his pace to trot alongside his brother, casting a small gaze up at the huge wolf. Things be looking up. He said cheerfully, ears alert, eyes shining and tail ever wagging. Thalion Feanaro smiled softly, turning to offer Gizmo a reassuring nod of his head, "The are indeed." He took a deep breath, his mind wondered back to his homeland... back to his beloved mate. Would she be proud of him? Be happy to meet the others and have more wolves to find company in? Or would she be cross with him for leaving? He had told her that he was leaving- but only for a short time. That he'd avoid the packlands of his foes and run through the shadowed paths if danger came but had that been enough to give her comfort? He could almost see her creamy white and orange form dancing in the water, the air full of her playful barks as she chaised after the fish, naming them and making up stories for each of them. Just the thought brought a smile to his maw again.
"Thank you for coming with me, brother." His tone had softened quite a bit, he sounded almost distant, "If trouble comes to you because of this I will take full responsability for it. If need be I will escort you back to your lands when your visit is over and insure that you have a safe return. I'll not have them turning on another innocent....", he still thought often of the pup, of how he failed to save him dispite his efforts. How that monster alpha allowed such a thing to happen under him and how he could hide under the shame and cowardice of sloughtering a pup by labeling him a trator... a pup is a pup, a youth, an innocent. They don't know trechery or loyalty, they know only fun and games. He had gone to find friends without knowing that it was considered trechery to speak with wolves from another pack and return alive. It was Haku's own fault for not teaching him....but for Gizmo's sake Feanaro would keep it all to himself. It burned and bit at him... he could have saved it. Gizmo's true brother could be standing there to this day.
"And you're always welcome to come and see us, Gizmo. I'm showing you the shadow paths. If you howl like I just did a crow very well might come to you, my little shoulder wart especially." He chuckled, taking a glance to Suuru. The crow had every right to take liberty of riding his master's shoulder... he had dragged two pups accross a river one by one, led them to him from puphood into adolecence. He was a very tired bird indeed. Thalion Feanaro chuckled at the antics of the two younger wolves, taking a slow glance back to them. They seemed to be trying to keep from his sight as they played. Perhaps his reputation had reached them afterall. They'd never seen him with his mate- barking and pouncing like a pup again. He was all play around her, and perhaps such a sight would confuse or even startle the others. Feanaro- the demon of the woods prancing and playing with his she-wolf. How absurd in their minds. "Perhaps you should be trying to catch me for a change? A bit of a challange to the game, eh?" He whirled around, shooting all three of the younger wolves a playful but challanging glance, his tail wagging wildly behind him as his black lips pulled back intoa wide grin- something that was very rare on the maw of the masked male.
He barked out his challange then turned and bolted, rushing from the others in the spirit of the game. He didn't play often- even as a pup play was something he hardly had the luxury to partake in but since he had met with Kahlaria he knew that life was much more than surviving through it. Kimaria Gizmo had paid no attention to the other two, still feeling a little nervous about them. However his ears perked up at Feanaro's challenge and after a glance over his shoulder he quickly broke into a more rapid trot. His muscles eased him into a faster pace and he held his head up high, ears drawn forwards and mouth parted - pink tongue lolling from the side of his mouth.
With an extra bound he put on another burst of speed, yipping his excitement and his acceptance of the challenge. He hadn't played like this since he had met the little red pup he had met at the clearing.
It was good to play!
He barked once more, lowering his head as he increased his speed further, paws thudding against the ground as he went, tail pluming behind him. His heart beat faster inside his deep chest and even though he knew he was not likely to catch the older male it was still fun to chase! Thalion Feanaro tuned over a shoulder with a smile, watching as Gizmo picked up his speed and continued after him. He'd not let onto his thoughts but all this running would do the pups some good, teach them how to move quickly over difficult roads. He'd not move too quickly as it was their first time taking the mountain road. The shifting rocks and trecherous slides were enough to detour any wolf from it's threatoning face. He knew them well. When moving through a place like that one could either see the mountain as a friend or a foe. The crows knew the way through them but they were winged beasts. They didn't know much of shifting rocks or steep falls. He knew all too well having caught himself each time he was quickly learning to adapt the area to his advantage. If ever the foe wolves persued him into the mountain paths he could scale up into places that only wolves who had treadded the paths before would know, he could trigger rocks to slide towards them and lose them in the swirling dust it would create- scent and sight blinded to him. He'd teach the pups these tricks of the trade. The pack was- as the young one had said -a pack but a small one... but as a wolf could defeat a bear it was the wit that would win the battle, not the size.
He slowed himself down a bit but continued as the grass began to thin and golden, the ground being replaced with firm, cracked dirt and spiked bushes. Trees shrank and gnarled, twisting and dulling into a grey rather than the earthen brown and green. Long strands of moss hung dry from their glarled bare branches the further in they went. Large rocks and boulders could be seen along the spiraled and ridged paths alike. The mountain pass loomed well above them, its dark face always seemed like a challange to Fea, he only grinned back. For the sake of the others he'd take the low paths, they were the safest. Kimaria The young wolf became suddenly aware that the path was becoming more difficult. The ground beneath his feet became uneven, sloping upwards without warning and jutting into small crevices he kept tripping over.
He gave a small squeak of surprise as he felt his own pace slow down in hesitance at each obstacle and his friend slowly becoming smaller in the distance. No, he didn't want to be left behind! Panic seized him momentarily and he tried to increase his speed once more, leaping up and over a rock that had jutted up from the ground as if to guard the path from trespassers.
The young wolf was also made suddenly aware of the slow change in his surroundings. The place seemed to be less healthy, as if it was reeling from lack of food and rest. The grass was not the green colour it should have been. The trees looked like skeletons, mere ghosts of the ones he had seen in the forest and a sudden shiver of fear ran down his spine. Never before had Gizmo been away from the complete comfort of the forest, and even though his fur colour did him justice in this not-so-green land it still made him fearful.
He dared not glance at the mountain too long, keeping his eyes low but gazing just ahead. Feanaro was still in view and he was not yet tired, he could keep up with the others, he was sure of it! Thalion Feanaro slowed his pace to a walk, pausing completely until Gizmo managed to catch up with him, "I wouldn't leave you wolves behind, little brother." Smiling he looked back down the path, watching the forms of the two other wolves come bounding closer. As they grew close enough to perhaps hear him he turned back and began walking again, "This is the mountain pass. Many wolves avoid it because it's a cruel landscape with trecherous paths and turns. Everything can be used to your advantage or disadvantage. Learning how to pass through here is the key. For now..." He glanced up to another bare tree, one he had marked with a large clawmark accross the trunk, "We're taking the easy paths, it's longer by far but less hazardous." He turned to the other two pups, smiling a bit, "Later on I'll train you here, teach you the shorter but more dangerous paths. If an enemy is after you- even if he or she is accompanied by a full pack you'll be able to lose them here. If you have this place etched to your meomory you could evade nearly anything in these paths. Challanging yourself to the harder paths will build strength." Kimaria Gizmo trotted up beside his brother, panting as he slowed his pace to walk beside him, golden eyes shining with pride to be walking alongside the powerful male. Oh how wonderful it would be to know these paths, to know the secrets of the area and be welcome to know them. He pushed the thoughts of home away, determined to enjoy this time he would spend with his newfound family.
It does be looking scary. Gizmo whispered as he caught his breath, ears twitching in every direction. I not like be here without you Fea. He fell quiet then, lapping up the atmosphere of the place. There was no doubt that a wolf who knew the area well could keep away from prying eyes and could escape even the fastest predator whether it be wolf or bear.
He listened as his brother spoke with the other two adolescents, ears swivvelling back to await their replies. This was just the easy path?! Then how much harder did some become? He could imagine them being extremely perilous and terribly frightening...he was suddenly glad that he wouldn't be introduced to any of this tough training. Fea and the others would realise what a true wimp he was if he had done. pinkdog They hyper female did not need a second bidding. She scrambled quickly after Keefe, claws scraping in the dirty, dyeing the pads of her feet as the soil smeared on the soft pink skin. She had the urge to howl but resisted, at least somewhat aware that there was still danger present. Keeping her eyes on Keefe tail, she followed him up the roughening path, undaunted. Her head looked to the side as the lanky trees and brown grass and she nodded to herself; this seemed like the kind of place the large male would fit in.
Nafeeza had been happy to hear the playful challenge from his, Feanaro's, direction. Honestly the wolf intimidated her a little just because of his size and his seriousness. Keefe was serious a lot, as she'd pointed out to him when they'd first met, but he was her age; he seemed happier now.
Eeza pulled her tonue inside her mouth, pawing over the rough terrain carefully, not wanting to fall behind. When she looked up again, she realized that Gizmo had fallen back from their little group. She paused, keeping an eye on Keefe's retreating figure, and waited for him. "I wont let them leave you!" She called to him with a reassuring smile. Thalion "There will never be a need for you to be here without me, little brother. If ever you want to visit me, perhaps my little "flitter" can be of some servace to you so you don't have to walk this path alone if you don't want to...", he smiled reassuringly to the smaller wolf, keeping his head turned slightly behind them to watch the other two approach them, "Understand, Gizmo... that sometimes in life you have to overcome hardships to reach anywhere worthwhile. My lands are hidden in a valley that's surrounded by lands like this. It's what's been keeping other wolves from entering my lands and driving us away from them, it keeps the other packs from persuing me for too long, and if ever I'm fortunate enough to produce pups between myself and my dearest, it'll keep my family safe from their jaws."
He looked about, the sun had began to set and it was perhaps one of the more frightning times of the day in the pass. Sunrise was fantastic, however. The raising sun would beam from the naturally painted rocks in such a brilliant wave that the rocks would seem like pure gold, even the trees would shine with a newfound beauty in the morning sun. The mountain birds would sing and the wind would hiss through the spiked grass that grew there. However, night time brought the mists... a dulled orange painted the landscape and turned the grey gnarled trees into black shapes against a darkening sky. The crows often landed and took rest during sunset. That wasn't the greatest of the wolf's worries. In the mountains lived the mountain cats- massive creatures with golden pelts far larger than any wolf and perhaps more agile. Powerful things they were, and able to leap distances that would make any wolf's head spin to just think of attempting such a feat. They survived off of the mountain sheep and rabbits... they'd hesitate to attack a group of wolves.
"Stay close." He called back to the other two, but also to Gizmo, "A hunter here lurks the night, one that would do far more than a bear could dream of, they're not one to attack a group but if any of us strays too far we may be a target."
The mountains were both a blessing and a curse to the "criminal" of a wolf. With the wind spinning and whirling about it was hard to track much of anything. Vicious gusts of wind would come more often than not, blowing dust up from the ground and sending it into the air to confuse scents. Sound was also twisted. A howl would echo from many places, confusing the source. It was something Feanaro had thought to be a wonderful thing it ever an invading pack were to dare try their luck in these paths, it would make them believe there were more wolves than there actually were waiting to meet them and perhaps drive them away. With his small pack forming- a few of their howls would sound like an army of wolves. He knew that their survival would rely on trickery and cunning. Using the landscape and its creatures to keep them hidden. Any day now the masked male expected Lexi and her brute of a mate to keep good on her vow to break him and take his lands for use of their own pack. He still loved his adopted daughter and it pained him to remember the blazing flame of hate in her eyes but she was threatoning his paradise, his mate, his family...even if in some twisted way she was family. Kimaria Gizmo turned graciously to regard the tan female, his nervousness in the two easing away as he realised they meant no harm. He wasn't sure why he had thought so but atleast now he knew they were fine. He tilted his head and watched them with his golden eyes, glad that things were finally coming together for his brother. Fea had suffered so much heart ache in his time and he deserved peace and happiness more than any wolf he had ever known.
Then the masked wolf began to speak and he shifted his gaze to regard the elder, ears swivelling in the direction. I understand Fea. He said slowly, if I need to come 'lone then I will but maybe when I be older. He said softly. It was good that Feanaro had managed to find a safe place to stay but also sad that he was forced to such lengths just to stay safe. That once again brought up the thoughts of his own pack, he loved them dearly and he couldn't imagine life without them...but if they tried to hurt Fea...if they were driven by that infectious rage. He closed his eyes, head lowering as a wave of shame swept over him. He wasn't one to fight and he would do all in his power to make sure that didn't happen but he would never run away or sit back and watch his friends tear themselves apart. He would have to choose a side...but who?
He had already told Fea that he would stay by his side, and at this moment in time that choice sounded the best and the strongest. Haku had his allies but Fea did not...well if you didn't include the two new adolescents and himself.
When his eyes opened once more he caught sight of the darkening sky, the great sun dipping in it's flight and fading away. Fea's warning of 'stay close' hit him somewhat sharply and he jumped sideways, edging closer to the male wolf...probably closer than what Fea had actually meant. He listened with a sinking heart to the words in which the male spoke. Hunters that were more dangerous then bears? His heart thumped loudly in his chest and he felt his legs tremble beneath him but he continued. There was no turning back now, what was done was done and it would make him a stronger wolf because of it...if he survived.
Familiar words rang through his mind and he whispered them now, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger... Thalion Feanaro turned his head to reguard Gizmo, he could hear his heart beating faster, the strained breath, and the stiff movements that were brought along only by fear, "Don't worry, little brother. I promised never to let harm come to you and that's what I intend to do. Staying close will make sure that anything thinks twice about attacking... that's all." He smiled but slowed his stride significantly to remain closer to the others as they walked on. They'd reach the valley by morning if they walked through the night but he could think of nothing better. The valley was most beautuful when the sun rose over the jagged rocks of the mountains, filling the "bowl" of land with a pure golden light. The rivers sparkeling like golden serpants through the ruined foundations of former human dwellings, the leaves whispering with a morning breeze. What could be more fitting? A sunrise, the beginning of a new day over the beginning of a new life for them all.
He looked around them at the looming dark forms of the rocks and gnarled trees, in the dark it did look quite ugly, but if they cared to look up even higher the stars would seem to shine all the brighter in the darkness- they were higher up and farther out. If the mountain nights had one redeeming quality to them it was that they could see the heavens much more brilliantly.
