Nope. CVX never mentioned the Mother/Progenitor Virus.
Actually, the answer is RE2 for N64. One of the Ex-Files actually talk about how Spencer created the Mother Virus then gave it to James Marcus to do research and development. Billy was mentioned in another document, too. I think that was around the time they finished RE3 and started developing RE0, which was then scrapped for N64, and eventually made it for the Cube. But it was as early as RE2 for N64. Go ahead and ask your question.

How do you face the one very powerful zombie in RE2 that gives you the special key for the bonus costumes?
AND...
When playing Part B, is there a requirement to also face the powerful Zombie?
AND...
Who IS this really powerful zombie?

1. Don't pick up any items on your way to the RPD... It's Brad, by the way, not just any zombie.
2. When playing part B, the only requirement is that you actually did meet him in Part A. If you picked up some items in Part A and therefore caused Brad not to be there in A, he won't be there in B either.
3. I believe I answered that one...
Umm...
In the original Resident Evil 1/Director's Cut, Jill's Scenario. Where is the last place you can see Wesker?

Nope. Play it again, and LET Barry live. After the self-destruct system comes on, go to the boiler room to see Wesker on the floor, killed by a Chimera. That's where S.D. Perry got the idea that he was killed by one of them in the novel.
