I'm a bit surprised that lately, characters from fantasy games like, Chrono Trigger or alike? I haven't played the game I mentioned yet but after its release for the DS, I plan on doing so. 3nodding

I'd have to say Bruenor Battlehammer from R.A Salvatore's Drizzt series and Roran Stronghammer from Christopher Paolini's Inheritance cycle are two of my favourites.

Yes, Raistlin, I've always liked him. He's always been a very interesting character, which includes his poor health regarding what happened to him at his trial to become a Red Mage (to begin with).

He is very interesting indeed. Raistlin is just such a developed character too.

I would say my favorite characters are... Silk (Prince Kheldar) and Belgarath the Sorcerer from David Edding's series, Eomer, Gandalf, and Faramir from Lord of the Rings, and Drizzt Do'Urden from the Forgotten Realms, but I'd say that I have lots.

It's too bad I've never been able to even see what Dragonlance is about. A red mage? Cool!
Hey Hawkmoon! I'm glad you came. Don't forget to check out the "Myths and Legends" thread for some really cool ones from my country, ok? The very first couple of pages are the most interesting ones, I think...

Right Raistlin, I forgot about him. He is a good character and that reminds me I have to read more Dragonlance books.
Another one my favourites is Jarlaxle from Forgotten Realms, he's always got an interesting part to play.

I think this was talked about somewhere else in the guild but...something you don't see enough of (in my opnion) is gnome characters. In all the fantasy books I remember reading there is only one memorable gnome charcter...only I don't remember his name.
Oh and if I'm not mistaken Dragonlance is somewhat like Forgotten Realms. It's a name under which a group of authors write books that are set in the same world. Of course I'm likely wrong about something here seeing as I've only read one of the books.
