i played alto...switched over to tenor sax...but i reallly wish i picked Trumpet at first...so now im having my friend teach me how to play the trumpet because in DCA or DCI playing the sax in ...pointless lol

I play clarinet and sometimes i wish i picked sax trumpet, or percussion...i love my clarinet though

I play trumpet and I heart it completely. I wouldn't trade it for anything. 3nodding
But I think it would be fun to learn tenor sax. whee

It's not that I wish I played a different instrument just I wish I learned it earlier than I did. I learned flute back in January. I wish I would have learned it my 6th grade year!

The bad thing about it is if I want to march for the Clemson University Band, I'd have to play piccolo and I really don't like the sound of more than one of them.

I've always been interested in playing Clarinet or Sax...
But I love my flute though. x3

I'm little odd on this subject...
I play just about everything, but part of me whish I'd started on sax so that I could be better at it.
And another part of me wishes I'd started on brass, since I still get confused sometimes on maintenance.
I wish I hadn't started on clarinet, because now it seems like an extremely useless instrument to play in a band. (no offense to clarinet players, but it can't be heard over anything else and it just squawks. It's a nice solo instrument, but I'm not fond of it in a band setting)

I truly enjoy playing clarinet.... but I prefer trumpet. I should've chosen trumpet when my parents asked me what I wanted to play. Darn, darn, darn! xd

I play trumpet and clarinet was my second choice but most of my friends and family played clarinet and I didn't want to be like them. My first choice was the flute but when I auditioned on it, I sucked but I still want to play it.

Right now I play Marimba in the Pit and I love it, but I'm going to switch to snare in two years (hopefully), so I can get more experience.
But practically everyone in my school is like, "Yeah, I wanted to do Percussion, but I missed auditions, I totally would have made it."
It's extremely annoying because out of the 70 or so kids that auditions every year, only about 15-20 make it, and so there's a slim chance any way that they would have made it. ;;>_>
(Percussion is huge at my school. When the pick our show music, they make sure that it has a big percussion influence in it, because usually the band can't play half of the rhythms that we have to play.) sweatdrop

i chose my instrument when i was in fifth grade (i chose flute). i grew to love flute, but i really like the sound of the alto sax...

I just wish that I learned trombone first. I picked it up last year, after FIVE YEARS of playing flute.
Switching is torture, but I did it. And I'm still behind... I'm not that far now, if I started on bone... damn.
