It took a while for Amber to realize she had been spoken to. However, after a few minutes of silence, the thought clicked and she looked up from her screen. She blinked several times before recognition set in, and a soft smile spread across her lips. "Good morning to you as well. I don't suppose I really have to answer that, do I?" She asked, knowing that both of them knew she had been here all night. She picked up her coffee and took the last sip, throwing the cup in a nearby trash bin. She then turned her eyes to screen once more, looking over something she had just read that caught her interest.

"I can't help myself, I think I may have stumbled upon a rather vicious specimen." She had been trying to pick up trails of anything that would be considered a threat to society, not that the things they hunted were ever not a threat. However, she believed in getting the worst of them off the streets first, then worry about the lesser creatures. She was sure this one was at least a level 3, if not a 4. The creature had to be caught, and she knew she was now zeroing in on its location. She held out a hand and waved to the woman, Sam, motioning for her to come and have a look at what Amber had found.

On the screen before her eyes were several police reports of unsolved murders. Each one detailed how the victim had been killed, each one described the same brutal fate. Amber believed it was likely a demon, but she kept these opinions to herself, waiting for Sam's approval. If everything seemed legit to Sam, then Amber would have a case to bring before the hunters, and hopefully they could all make up for the fiasco of the night before.

There was a soft grunt near the door of the office, originating from the gruff, burly man standing at the door. "I see someone's had his morning caffine already..."

Now, Viktor was by no means a picky man - nor was he honestly one to complain.. too much. (Most of the time.) But an early rise before the sun was not a particularly an invitation that one would expect the man to keep. The damned day that would have Viktor rise before the sun would not come so long as there was blood in his veins. However, since there was a slight altercation the evening before, it was possible he could have lost more than just the bit of blood he did. So there he stood in the early hours of the day with a snide smirk on his lips and a limp in his gait.

The mission in question was certainly one that Viktor knew they would catch heat for. They were much too careless, the lot of them, and they were lucky to get out with their lives. Vivian most of all. If he hadn't turned that corner when he did, who knows what could have happened to Viv. A split second later and they would be at a service for the girl. Seeing her sitting there safe and sound in the room was worth the bandaged leg and injured arm.

"Good morning, girls.." Viktor winked in their direction as he made his way to an empty seat, "Amon, I have more to discuss with you after our trouble party this morning."

By the time he directed his attention to Amon, his expression had grown uncharacteristically serious and his tone was flat and dry. It was apparent that whatever it was he needed to discuss with the man was important indeed. There were certain aspects of the incident that Viktor had neglected to mention in his submitted report. His reason for doing so was the uncertainty behind the entire incident itself. There were a few peculiar things that took place, however, Cross could not discern whether or not it was an actual reason to worry or if it was just a bit of overanalyzing. (Lest it be the latter, he would rather not stir the pot with things that would, in the end, turn out to be nothing but a bit of overplayed dramatics.)

Viktor sighed softly as he slumped into his chair. His arm was sore, his leg felt stiff, and he could feel the threat of a migrane. He was not looking forward to Zeke's dogging in the next few minutes. This was not a good start to his day.

Early mornings were never a good start to his day.

"eh.. that didn't go so good." Ashley shook her head, she was hoping that Riley would understand, and although it didn't seem like she was angry, her absence was not going to go unnoticed. So as fast as she could she went back to her car. She learned long ago from her brother, never take your car to a potentially dangerous area, unless you have some amazing car insurance. Instead, she was planning on taking the taxi to where her brother told her, but now that she had to head back she had to fumble in her purse for her car keys.

Ashley let out a rather huge sigh as she stumbled them into the car lock, and with a rather loud CLICK, it finally opened. Sure her car wasn't the best around the block, but it looked pretty to her, even if old. What really mattered was that it could get her from point A to point B, and their headquarters was definitely point B.

Screech! As soon as she got out of the police station sight, she put the pedal to the metal, and zoomed down the road. It would not be long before she would get there. Still she couldn't help but wonder how much she was missing, and how bad it would be once she got there.

Jason swallowed hard when Bran mentioned field work. It was a mixed emotion for him, he was anxious and excited, though he'd never show it. He always wanted to go out on the missions with the Hunters, but that wasn't his area, his area was in a basment fiddling with toys, and when you coimpared the two that way, who wouldn't jump at the chance to join the Hunters. Well, that was the other part that made Jason hesitate, and it could be sumed up in one word- Amon.

Amon was, well, the scariest, most intimidating person and the one that would care less about the Creator's plight. It wasn't that he wouldn't understand, he just cared for the safety of his Hunters more than anyone else did, possibly more than Ezekial. Course, Ezekial cared about everyone equally, he understood that they all had their purpose, and therefore was more inclined to listen and reason with. Amon, well, Jason was just happy that Bran was going to talk to him, though he didn't doubt that he would enevitably have to deal with the man.

Before Jason could voice all these thoughts and opinions, the door behind Bran opened and Scott walked inside the space. He was the youngest, and he sure looked it too. Not that Jason was jealous, he was happy with his age, he just sighed at how young Scott could act, and how it sometimes seemed like he just didn't care. Jason knew better, but he often wondered if Scott needed to learn to be more serious in front of certain people, even if it was just for show.

He listened to Scott and Bran talking, wondering why, if Scott was so busy he didn't ask either him or Asakin to check the others, but shrugged it away, it was too late now. Besides, Bran was right, Ezekial would be the one to do the yelling. When the convo was finished Jason was about to reply to Scott's question when Asakin himself entered the room, accompanied by a large aquarium.

Jason was always found of water creatures, so it wouldn't bother him any, besides, it might make their work space a little more habitable. When Asakin finished asking what was up Jason turned to Scott. "Thanks for the compliments Scott, hopefully it will be 'wicked' " he said with a slight grin. Then he explained the means of his wristband once more, letting both Scott and Asakin listen in on it.

When he finished he turned to Bran, "If I am going to go on a mission, I need to make a device to monitor the air, so let's just, hold off on asking Amon for now eh? I mean, his temper... well... let's just wait" Jason finished, hoping Bran would understand. He was fairly confident that Bran would, waiting for Amon to be in a better mood, would increase the chance of him saying yes. Course, Bran always knew more and Jason was sure that whatever he did, would allow Jason to go out into the field.

When he finished talking to Bran he turned to Asakin, "What's with the tank? Not that I mind, I rather like it, but is it for an experiment, or just for decoration?" Jason questioned. Asakin was solem like himself, and so Jason kept the conversation short, but pleasant.

{ Memories could always fall apart, leaving the past behind.
Does this one want it to be the same? Returning back to the Disasters could be... }

Asakin remained there patiently, just crossing his arms and once in awhile rubbing the back of his head. He listened to Jason and his wristband experiment. It sounded very interesting and seemed to have a chance to make it large in the Creator's fields. He showed his interest and approval to the man by giving him nods, his silent words backing them up for emphasis. Shifting his body, he stood up straight then walked over to his desk, where he sat in a rolling stool, one which he dragged over to the others.

When the question about the tank arose, the Japanese man turned his attention to Jason, then back to the tank. His eyes reflected the water within the tank, but it held something else to him. It was special for him, but the way that he shrugged and then tilted his head back for a moment to think, then stand up, it was as if it was nothing in the outside.

"It's just a tank. There's hardly anything here save for some music, so a nice change in scenery will do. Hey. We have to get to the meeting or else the Boss will get on our case. Everyone should go."

He emphasized that point since it was their priority, especially when a mass email has been sent, to go and attend whatever it said. Their boss didn't hire them to just sit around and not abide to his commands, so they needed to do this to keep their current jobs.

Scott was the first to turn towards the door, throwing an almost cocky grin behind him at the others, the smile of a man going to meet a formidable presence and still remains unmoved. "You know..." He drawled out slowly, the words lingering in the air as they left his lips, "Asakin over there's got a point. Bossman will probably fricassee our spleens if we don't show up for the sake of a couple minutes more chat." He shrugged almost carelessly and laughed, hands in his pockets as he leaned against the adjoining wall. "Nice idea, by the way." His reinforced compliment was as light as any other words he'd said, sincere if not at least the tone of someone who'd been significantly impressed.

Flicking laser-like eyes to the tranquil aquarium, Scott allowed himself to frown slightly, just a bit, a mere shadowing of the face and hardly noticeable. How odd, he mused thoughtfully, eyes still focused and unblinking, how odd. And for a moment, there was a brief flicker of a faraway memory, a faint hint of a dream (or was it something more?) before it vanished abruptly, mist blown away by the wind. He shook his head absentmindedly and resumed his normal carefree grin.

There were more important things to do than to stand around and stare at the fish.

I've got a point to make, and I'll make it,
Problem is, can you handle what I'll say when I s-a-y it?
