Brisiku It's kind of sad you got that impression... I've always felt welcoming to both. Well, not the stupid horny ones out to get people for fun.... But yeah. I live in an upper-middle class small town and people are pretty narrow-minded anyway. In high school, I knew a guy who was gay (we'll call him Matt) but he never told anyone cause he was afraid of what would happen. It didn't help that his dad was one of the biggest homo-phobes I've even known. He ended up commiting suicide by hanging himself in his garage... cry I cried for weeks afteerwards. And our school formed the Gay-Straight Alliance to help form tolerance in our school, but it didn't help at all. I guess that's why they feel that way about bi-sexual people. And also for the reason that was mentioned, about the person suddenly "switching sides". To be honest, I don't have a "side". I say I'm bi-sexual because that's the closest description to what I am. Really, I'm not any of those labels. I look at who someone is, not what gender they are. Right now I have a boyfriend who loves me and treats me like a princess. (Or tries to when I'm not looking sweatdrop )) But if we break up, I might find a guy who catches my intrest. But it might be a woman this time. Bi-sexual is not confused, or "switch hitting" or any other of those derogatory names I've heard. It is simply way to love someone who they are, not what they've got in their pants (or don't have, as the case may be.)

Is it just me or does everyone go through the stage of refusing to be labelled? The old "I'm not a label, I'm me" line?
Admittedly I'm a bit older then most on this forum (23) but when i came out a few years ago I was adamant that I was bi (it had something to do with breasts I think) and I merrily went around telling everyone so. Of course within a year I was living with my 3rd bf and I had to go around again and say to ppl 'well actually I'm gay'.
Personnally I think it is all one huge grey area and ppl just are happy to spend time at different point s on the spectrum. I had to describe this to a straight friend of mine a couple of days ago after he got drunk and a gay friend kissed him. Few almost a week he was freaking out thinking he might be gay from one kiss.

I'm bi. there is no way for me to be out in my town. Homosexuality is looked down upon. The rednecks here would likely hang you and shoot you if you were gay. They even had a law that forbids black people from being out past midnight, though it isn't enforced...i think.

I've always thought I was strait, but latly I've been getting very, erm, vivid lesbian sex fantasies. As well as my old strait ones, lol. So I gues I'm more leaning toward curious than bi though.
