Sigilos gave a loud snort of contempt, stepping off the branch and landing lightly on his feet. His arms where still crossed, and he walked among all those in the clearing, his voice sarcastic.
*So you all have a grudge, big deal. Personally I don't really care, I just wanted to know what was making such a raucous in my woods. As for this Skelgrow person, as long as he stays away from my forest he can do as he pleases, in my opinion. Since this village is on the outskirts of the woods, then I don't care if any of you stay. But hear this, go any deeper into my verdant world, and I will be sure of your death.*
With his ultimatum delivered, he turned and left the camp, waving a hand at the trees of the forest as he walked past them. The edge of the clearing leading into the forest was suddenly writhing, then still again. It was now a solid mas of wood, yards thick, made of many trees pressing together.

"Uhh..." Ankaara scratched her head and shrugged. "I dunno. Got no clue." Ankaara sat down on a boulder."Maybe he doesn't have a problem."

Sigilos headed deeper into the woods, knowing the trees would keep an eye on the trespassers. He walked for a while, the leaves above causing the light to filter down in a green haze. As he traveled, the light became darker and darker, the trees taller and older. Finally, the light grew so thin that no human could have seen in it. Sigilos, with his dragon eyes, could see as if it had been day. He stopped before a large pool in the center of the woods. Green slime covered the edges, and a noxious scent was in the air. Ignoring his surroundings, he approched the pool, not touching the water, but stopping at it's edge.
*Great one, the newcomers are young, but they all bare a grudge against you're might. They old one from the village is alive, as is a child, who was inside a barn during the attack. She is contained by your collar, just as you said.*
A low, slithering voice was heard in the clearing. It dripped with the reminder of decay. It brought forth an image to the mind, of something old and evil, something made with death at it's heart.
"You have done well. Keep them from this place, so they may not know our secret pact. For now, let them be, but keep a close eye on them. If they seem to be getting in my way, then kill them all."
The gold inclined his head.
*As you wish, great one.*
He turned from the pool after a moment, heading back toward the light parts of the wood. No one would find this place, no one could.

(Just so you know, sometime in March I'll be away on a cruise. I also won't be on the last weekend in February because I have Scuba Classes)
Ankaara turned to Shaydra and Josh. "I have the strangest feeling in the pit of my belly that something's up...I can't tell what, but something's amiss here..." She sighed. "But maybe it's just my paranoia acting up again. That's most likely what it is..." She chuckled. "...All it is is my paranoia..."

((We're all going to die if Sigilos is against us. xp And I'm virtually hopeless in human form.))
"Locked in a safe, eh?" Shaydra examined the pencil, tapped it twice, and slipped it behind her ear. "It's mine. As for trouble, I don't really care. I need to find my clan and get out of this hopeless place." Shaydra walked away from the others, toward the wall of wood. She tried to turn into her normal form, but a small shock emenated at her first concentrated thought.
Sighing, she looked at her soft human hands. She was useless like this. She took out her pencil out once more and stared at it, ideas forming in her mind.

"And, by some odd chance, if my paranoia was actually for a reason..." She felt around her neck until she found the small gem that was invisible against her scales. She undid the knot in the back, and took it off her neck. It was a small, round stone that glew purple and black. Two golden wings adorned the sides, and it had a big black string attached to it. "This is a Shadowstone, a powerful amulet awarded to the members of the Shadow Clan. It will only work if you are truly in need of its services." She put it back on. It disappeared once more against her black scales.

Josh looked at the stone curiously wondering what he should do, he knew Skelegar's henchmen were nearby but he had found allies, "I think we should move on out of here as well."

"Fine.." Lex mumbled. Still in her human form, she walked over first to Shaydra to intorduce herself. "Lex," she held out a hand. The wind picked up a bit a ruffled her long hair and made her long blackk trench coat dance around her legs. Then she walked over to Josh, although she didn't hold her hand out this time. "I agree with you, let's get out of here."

Sigilos was on the prowl. The trees sped past him as he leapt through the forest, a blur of gold against the green and brown of the woods. He shifted his scales again, this time so that they took on the color and pattern of whatever he was in front of. Now he was nothing but a blur in the air, effectively invisible. He knew some of newcomers might detect him if he was too close, so he decided to enlist the aid of some of the creatures of the forest. He chose a handleful of them, directing them with his thoughts as he raced along. They would see and hear what he could not, and he would never even have to get close to the others. He allowed himself a small grin, he hadn't had a proper hunt in ages. He stopped well before he reached the wall of wood, suppressing his thoughts and leaving up mind-barriers to block anyone looking for him that way. Now it was just a matter of patience.

The hair on josh's neck rose, "Does anyone hear that?" he turned toward where sigilos went before and took out his sword.

"Hear what? I don't hear anything, It's probably a Shadog, they love to rustle bushes and generally make a big hullabaloo." Ankaara looked at the wall of wood. "The only thing you really need to look out for is the Grapeheads, they can be real trouble. Just SERIOUSLY, don't go near them. If you see one, HIDE. They have purple skin, walk on two legs, big heads with two horns. They live all over the place. Their attacks are too evil for words...Very scary critters, they are..." She shuddered as she said this."Anywho, Josh is right. We need to be on our not-so merry way. We really should avoid the forest, remember what Sigilos said about trespassing..."

If anyone had walked past him, they wouldn't have even realized he was there. Sigilos was still Shifted to remain invisible, but he was now sitting cross legged on the ground by a tree, his eyes closed, totaly silent. He was watching the group through a squirrels eyes at the moment.
