Hiro nodded and frowned. "Yes, but...this could be the begining of something amazing dont you believe? After all. Hikaru hasn't let anyone leave his side, well...ever." He blinked and watched the little girl. "Are you making me dinner?"

Before Tokaru could respond, Tora wriggled free of Hiro's grasp and hugged her younger cousin protectivley.
"Of course she's not you pervy snake! We're baking a strawberry and chocolate cake!" She stuck out her tongue and then turned back to the cook book, tokaru had gotten out, reading it carefully.

Hiro smiled. "Cake! I love cake!" He winked at Tokaru. "Will my baby cousin let me have a slice or two?" He purred softly. He then turned sharply his hand on his forehead dramaticly. "Alas!" He said in a shakespearen tone. "I am afraid that my dearest cousin Tora will not let me have a slice. Because..." He turned back to Tokaru his eyes big and watery. "She believes I am a pervy snake!"

Tokaru's face became a simple pout, but for no more than a few seconds. "Of course, everyone can have a peice. We have to save some for Taiyo to." She said sweetly. Although most of the conversation had gone over her head, and most of what Tora and Hiro were talking about was also confusing to her. She just smiled and nodded again. She looked back at the ingredients on the counter top. "Tora said we can even add chocolate covered strawberries on top. Doesn't that sound yummy?" Tokaru squealed as she imagined the perfact cake in her head.

Hiro grinned. "Very." He hugged the little girl from behind. "Speaking of your brother, is he already off to work? I needed to ask him something..."

Tokaru nodded, "Yeah, he left just a little bit ago. You just missed him." she said slightly upset that her brother couldn't have stayed a bit longer. "He'll be back later though." She hymmed. "He promised on his next day off we could watch a movie together. I can pass on a message if you want." She gleamed.

Hiro shook his head and tapped her nose. "No no, thats fine otome." Hiro had a nickname for everyone. And he especially loved using it whne they least expected it. He brushed his hair back from his eyes and sighed. "Whatever will I do with that brother of yours." He smiled. "What movie will you two be seeing?"

I_Love_Eggnog hunter_1214 ((Who's Takahiro's little borther? Is it the rat like in the original storyline? Just wanted to know before I post.)) ((Yeah. Unless the rat doesnt want to in which case it can be whoever wants to.)) ((I'm the rat and sure, it's fine with me.)) The office was empty and all the lights were turned off except on dim lamp on his desk. The silver-haired man sat still in his chair with the newspaper held out infron of him. He didn't feel much like going home, or to the Sohma Estate. Chris would be fine at home. He left a number so he could order pizza for dinner and the omney was on the table. All Satoshi wanted to do was just to sit there and see if he could act like a normal person. Since he was a child Satoshi thought that if he pretended hard enough to be normal then he really could be normal. He's never told anyone of this thought of his though, it wasn't very intelligent of him. But he couldn't let go of the idea of acting normal... He sighed then placed the neatly folded newspaper on his desk, he took his black jacket that hung off the arm rest of his office chair. Perhaps a little drive would do him good, he thought as he plunged his hand into his pocket to find, not two, but three keys. Strange he should only have his house key and the car key.
"Well, it seems I've made a mistake," he muttered as she looked at the two house keys and one car key. Well if Chris was smart enough he'd be at the Sohma estate...The boy took as deep breath as he stood before the great wooden doors of the Sohma Estate. He let his hand fall against the metal ring, then let go and sighed again. Hehad left this place two years ago in hope of never having to return except for on New Years Banquets... "Get a grip," he told himself and pushed the door open. The fact of having opened these doors with his own two hands for the first time after two years. It was strange to him, the thought or more, the fear of seeing Hikaru. Chris didn't even notice that he was already at his cousin's door.
"Hello, it's Chris can I come in-?" he had just placed his hand on the door but it slid open, it seemed that the las person going in or out hadn't closed it properly. 'Okay, so I am going in,' he said mentally as he opened the door and said, "Hey, it's Chris. Satoshi took my keys so I though I could stay here until he gets hom-" he stopped midsentence when he caught sight of his brother. "Oh, it's you..."his voice was quiet. It was bad enough seeing Takahiro at school all the time but to see him again back at the estate. What was Chris thinking coming to the estate like that? Sighing his expression turned stoic again, "I'm leaving."

Hiro gasped and turned around. His eyes grew wide and smiled broadly. "BABY BROTHER!" He yelled he ran over and picked up his younger brother hugging him hard.He put his brother down and ruffled his hair.He smiled at Chris. "Shall I go and get Hikaru so he can say hi too? Oh my! There's been so many people who have missed you, my baby brother! Of course, i believe I've missed you the most, but I think Hikaru can come second of course! My my, I think Tora hasn't seen you in a while and Tokaru misses everyone..." He driffted off talking of every single person in the sohma household who would love to see Chris again that he didn't see his brothers reaction to him hugging him.

"How could they do me like that? I'm an intern they're suppose to help me. This is so unfair." Sai said to himself walking into his apartment. "I can't wait to see the look on their faces when I uncover the biggest in news history. Yes I can see them now." he said sitting down with a mischievous grin on his face.

Tokaru smiled once more as Chris entered the kitchen. "Hi Chris." She said joyfully between the brother's conversation. "Taiyo is going to be so jealous, missing out on all these visitors. It would have really suprised him." She thought for a moment. But everyone here was a member of the zodiac, she was sad to think it it but she was glad her mother was home right now or she'd be throwing a fit. But she was glad more than anything to see so much of her family, although most lived on the same plot of land it was rare that their pathes ever crossed.
Taiyo sat at one of the empty tables in the study area of the bookstore. He often wondered why bookstores, coffee, and bagels, always went together. But no matter what the connection he was glad to have something to do during his break to keep from worrying about his sister. He swirled the red stir stick in his his coffe cup even though it was straight black coffee. It was just something he automatically did when he had coffee or tea.
After a quick sip, burning his tongue slightly in the process, he turned his attention to the two books sitting on the table top. He knew he might not be able to actually take Tokaru to the aquarium or festival anytime soon, so he found some books pertaining to the subjects. He never understood his sister's desire to read, anything he gave her from the store. He wondered if it was because, she never really got to do anything, so maybe imagining it and reading might fill in the gaps of what she was missing. He had talked to his Father once on the subject, Why Tokaru would read any book he gave her no matter what the subject. His dad thought maybe it was because she looked up to him. But Taiyo certainly hoped that wasn't the case, he wasn't exactly the best role model.
After looking over the covers of the books he took another sip of coffee and sighed he still had a few more hours left in his shift before he got to go home. He only worked part-time on weekdays and he had managed to get out of closing tonight, so it was looking to be a pretty good night as long as he returned to the Estate and have it still standing. He wasn't sure rather to laugh or grimace at the thought so to change the topic he glanced up around the story. It sure felt like a library to him. There were people reading in lounge chairs, some reading the newspaper in the store's cafe, kids sitting in oversized rocking chairs flipping through picture books, and some looked like they were writing research papers.

Chris sighed heavily and pulled at his bangs to cover his eyes as his older brother rambled on nonsense. He wasn't getting out of there any time soon... He looked up as he heard Tokaru's voice. "Good to see you again," he smiled turning away from his brother. "Well, it seems I'll be staying here a while until Satoshi comes to pick me up since I don't have my keys and all," he patted his little cousin's head. "It's too bad Taiyo isn't here, isn't it? I guess I really should visit more often but I just can't find the time lately..." he lied perfectly. Chris never lied much but this wasn't even a lie it was just a little fib from seeing Hikaru and his brother too much. "Oh you're here too Tora?" smiling he gave her a friendly wave like he always did with everyone.
"So what are you guys doing anyways?" the boy asked as he peered over his cousin's head on to the busy kitchen counter. "Baking?" he tried to igor al the noise escaping from his brother's mouth and made conversation with the others instead.

Hiro picked up the little girl in his arms swiftly. Holding her bridal style. "Oh yes baby brother! My Otome is baking her favorite cousin a delicious cake!" He smiled at her and kissed her forehead. "And it will be wonderful won't it?"
