"Unless he can withstand the power of someone who can control hell, then shut your mouth and keep moving!" Adjo growled, taking in the scent of his home nearby. He couldn't wait to curl up on a soft pile of hay and just sleep for a few hours.

Igniculus made a loud frustrated snort and slowed down, trailing behind them now, flicking an ear in irritation. He had thought his advice was sane, good even.
"He was so evil, hell rejected him." Igni muttered, ears pinned back, following behind them. "But fine, you want me to shut up? This is the Igniculus shutting up right now!"
He glared at Adjo's back, tails swaying. But only for a moment - he turned his attention behind them once more, checking the ground beyond, still highly nervous of what might come up from behind.
"He's biding his time... I just know it..."

Adjo snorted, but didn't say anything as they kept on traveling, keeping his ears tuned to make sure they weren't being followed, and they weren't, which meant they were safe. They finally came upon the path that would take them home and he upped his running, wanting to get home and knowing Morty probably wanted to get to her mother for comfort.

Igni sniffed the air, his sensitive nose woffing like a rabbit's. He smelled the scents of unfamiliar Kitsusagi in the air and he came to a standstill, allowing Adjo and Morticia to run on. The firey Angelic stood there, conflicted - he felt awkward intruding into somebody else's territory without being invited, and so he didn't feel comfortable in persuing them.
He remained at the top of the path where he stood and sat on his haunches, beginning to groom himself with a paw. At least he could do that. He ran a paw through his hair as he neatened his mowhawk and bangs again, seeming casual. Although, the truth was that he was remaining ever alert to the sounds in the bushes, almost like a dog keeping guard.
"Have fun, guys." He said quietly as he watched the Nightmare and the Angelic pad away. "I can at least keep you safe."

Morty stopped as Adjo ran on. She looked behind her and tilted her head and then, against her better judgement, she flew towards where the male was, "What are you doing, we need to keep going!" she said.

Igniculus pinned his ears back at Morticia, lowering his head. "Iee hie-hie, chicca." He shook his head quickly. "You go on ahead - you're going to be home and safe now. If the evil hissy didn't follow us, you'll all be OK. However, if we've only bought ourselves some time and just led him here, then..."
"It's my fault." He said simply. "I started it, and I'm sorry." He pinned his ears back. "I made him mad in the first place and I'm the one he wants. I don't want him to come after any of you guys."

But Morty would have none of it. Putting on a stubborn face, she reached down and grabbed his paw and dragged him behind her, "It doesn't matter, I would never forgive myself if he came after you and hurt you, despite you coming from the dead! Now come on!" she said forcefully.

Igniculus yelped as his paw was tugged on, and he followed after her. He didn't have much of a choice at the time, either. He probably would have made a joke out of the situation if he wasn't so worried.
"Hie, hie! I'm thankful for your concern, but what about your family? They didn't do anything to stir up this guy, and if he scopes them out, he'll try to kill them like he would any other Kitsusagi!" The firey Angelic whimpered. "Nobody deserves that, you know..."

"Look, just stay until we are safe and we take precautions, we aren't exactly helpless you know!" she said in a scolding manner and she finally let his paw go when the house came into view. She saw her mother, Nunzio, Helen, Aegis and Faye all standing in the front yard and Morty knew Charna was probably in the large barn, guarding over her drained son. She immediately flew into her mothers arms though, still quite shaken from the whole ordeal.

"I'm not calling you helpless, chicca." He sighed. "But don't underestimate him, really!"
Igniculus moved into the unfamiliar area, looking suddenly shy as he turned his attention to Morticia's family. He was normally a brash and bold Angelic, but he didn't know any of these Kitsusagi at all and didn't know how they would react to him if he acted normally.
Instead, he gave them a wide cheesy grin and formally bowed his head.
"Uh, hi there..." He began. "My name is Igniculus. I'm a firesprite mage. And uh... if the evil hissy is catching up to us, you'll meet him too..."

Nunzio approached the male, folding his large, black wings over his back as he looked him over, "Who is this one that is chasing you and why was Adjo drained? He has never had to use his powers like this before." he said, wanting answers now.

Igniculus stood on his hinds, standing up to the other male, flaring his own wings out slightly. He was as big as this guy, and wanted to prove the fact.
"I don't know too much about him," Igni flicked an ear, trying to sound calm and casual. "He's one of the hissies, a Nightmare Kitsusagi if you will. He's chasing me because that's what he does. I fear he's going to come after you guys now. He's um... not very happy either. Always declaring revenge, yelling at any Kitsusagi who 'defiles' the plants in his domain."
"Mind you, he thinks his domain is everywhere." He sighed. "Oh, um, the hissy, well er... your hissy guy. He used his powers and brought up a torrent of sand from the ground to protect us. So that's why he's all worn out an' stuff."

Nunzio sat down, not caring how big this Angelic was, and he rubbed his chin with a paw, looking over his shoulder as Helen caught his eye. He nodded his head, "Is there anyway to get him to go somewhere else? To get him to focus his attention somewhere else?" he asked.

"Well yeah, I guess there is..." Igni began to ponder, and sat back on his heels, scratching his chin with a paw. "Use bait - like me. I could lead him away from here, there's too many of you guys in danger and that's just not fair."
"But once he's after you, that evil hissy is relentless. He'll chase you forever. And he won't be content until he rips somebody's hide off." He lowered his ears, sighing. "I've squared off against him many a time. I don't want to see anything happen to any of you guys. I mean... he doesn't know how to pick his battles, and he will come after each and every one of you if you try to defy him..."

Nunzio sighed a bit, "I will go with you. This is my family and it is my job to keep them safe, especially my daughter..." he said. He looked over when Charna stomped her way out of the barn, hissing and flicking her tongue about.
"I am coming as well, and do not try to tell me not to Angelic! My son is drained and the family must be kept safe, we have babies and an egg that must be taken care of!" she said as she went to stand beside Nunzio.
