It''d probably start a whole lot of s**t eek (wonders if there has ever been a president to run for office that wasn''t married) Nadar. People are always cracking jokes about him being gay and "who''s going to sleep in his bed with him in the white house?" Gr. neon - good question...ha ha. Probably won''t have to deal with it for another few decades o_O fadia - you don''t need to deffend yourself, I''m not really a dictator! sweatdrop I know you're not...I just REALLY don't like to be yelled at! (I always imagine you yelling for some reason..I can't help it... sweatdrop ) i do have to admit, i am a bit inclined to agree. I.E. First white male...
then White Female...
then GLBT
THEN Black/Hispanic/minority!

I am 100% positive. Got a 4 on my AP US history test this year whee
Anyway, black men were granted the right to vote after the Civil War. Very, very early on actually many well educated black men in the south got control of good portions of the government and began passing some really great stuff...but they were quickly torn down by the Jim Crow laws, intimidation, violence, etc.
Actually, one of the arguments the suffrogettes used was that so many other racial groups could vote, but upstanding educated women couldn't.
Yes, going to an all girls school, you learn a lot about women's history ^_^
