He forced a slight smiled at Kai, but continued to clean her wound, lifting a paw when she leaned over and setting in gently on her back, just so it wouldn't get squished by the female.
Soon enough it was clean, and he pulled away. "Talk about awkward. " He joked, then sat down, licking his chops to get any blood off it. "It'll still bleed some, but is clean. " He nodded, forcing a smile.

Once done, Kai smiled back, nodding slightly as he pulled away. "Yes.. Very.. Awkward.." She looked away for a second, and then looked back at him, still smiling. "Thank you. I couldn't of done it without you, Tibuka."
She got up, not feeling anymore pain in her back, and inched her way over to where the male hyena was sitting. She decided to sit down next to him, but before she did so, she nuzzled his muzzle, her silver eyes looking at his teal ones. After that awkward moment, she sat down, looking around his bony den, almost as if nothing had ever happened.

He blinked in surprise, but didn't pull away; it wasn't really bad, now was it? Weird, yes, but Tibuka.. Wasn't really going to complain.
"Um.. So, wanna go drink some water? " He asked, to break the silence. It felt kind of awkward to have a female this close-- not that it'd never happened before. Before he'd even come to the graveyard as an adolescent, Tibuka had lived life as a rogue and he had been with a female or two before. But he'd lost interest; that was in his early adolescence. It was normal.

"Sure. Do you think you can show me the way? Tukutu showed me where to go, but I can't quite remember. All I know is that it's quite far."
Kai smiled, still pretending like nothing had just happened. Not the lion fight. Not the cleaning of wounds. Not the nuzzle she had given to Tibuka. Nothing. She just went on normally. However, she did note the male's reaction towards her, and she found it slightly funny, but rather cute. She didn't know why she was acting sort of goofy now, as opposed to earlier, but she found that she just couldn't help it. Weird.

Tibuka nodded, and got up, walking out of the skull calmly, and starting to walk, wiating for Kai to join him before he began to trot.
"Hey, ya ever seen a winged lion? " The male asked sudenly, stopping. "I have. Was really weird. " He shook his head as if a block of ice had just rolled down his back. "But it was a long time ago. But still. " He shrugged, and forced a smile. "what was the weirdest thing that happened to you? "

Kailasa quickly got up when she saw Tibuka get up, following him. However, as she caught up to him, he suddenly stopped, popping her a very odd question.
"A winged lion..? Ummm.. No.. I don't think I have." This was very weird, and very unexpected. "The weirdest thing..? Well.. I don't know, really. Probably all of this happening to me.. And meeting you.. Well.. I mean.. Like... Uhhhh.."
Now she was getting tongue-tied. She knew what she wanted to say, but she couldn't, even though she wanted to. Oh.. This was all very confusing! Why had he asked that question anyway?
"What I mean is.. Well... Oh... This is annoying." She flattened her ears some.

He blinked in amusement, then continued to walk. "Didn't expect you do, but just had ta make sure-- it was ehre in the graveyard. Back when me an' Mafa spotted it. " He nodded, and continued pace beside the female.
Meeting him had been weird? "The lion, I'm sure. " He said, just to spare her from awkwardness. "And the.. yea. " He didn't bother to complete that, noofcoursenot. "Soo.. were are you from? "

Why was he telling her this, out of the blue, no less? It was weird.. But not as weird as other things she was experiencing right now. If only she could make the right move or say the right thing!
"Oh. Umm... That's interesting, I think." Then she caught what he had asked. "I don't know where I'm from. Just not around here. I only lived with my mother and two sisters, as well as my foster father. Very small pack, but we were happy, for awhile anyway. Why do you ask?"
Curse her and her shyness.

"Foster father? What happened to your /father/? " He asked, the question popping in his mind as soon as she said it, ears perked. "And just cause you don't seem like you are.. well, were from around here. "
Tibuka shrugged. Smalltalk, keeep the awkwardness at bay!

Kai saw no reason to hide the subject. After all, it was her past, and she couldn't get rid of it. Plus, now that she had a new family, what was there to hide?
"Well, I never knew my father. None of my sisters, or I, did. Only my mother. She won't tell us anything about him though. You see, she used to be a very mean and cruel hyena.. And she did awful things that she can never undo. Well, having us three was one thing she didn't mean to do, but it happened. However, she doesn't regret it now, and she doesn't treat us like dirt. She says that our father would, but I don't know if I believe that. I think she's just trying to cover up her past, as well as ours."
Her silver eyes looked down at the ground below for a second, taking a deep breath as well, regaining her composure.
"Still, my foster father is a wonderful male. He shaped my mother up well, in any case. He doesn't know much about my father either, but says it's better that way, for all of us."
She looked back up and smiled at Tibuka, her eyes soft and gentle.

"Oh.. " Tibuka blinked. "Sorry. " He shrugged, he never expected her to come from something like that. "Well, we're here. " He said, seeing a glimmer in the.. near-distance? Ha, funyn thing to think. Tibuka picked up pace a bit.

The gray female nodded, picking up pace as well. However, as much as she had just opened up to him, she was now ready to have a little fun with him. So, quietly, as she was still behind him, she quickly burst into a sprint, leaping onto his back.
"Tibuka!"
She nibbled lightly on the tip of his ear, happy as a lightning bug.

"Gaa! " Tibuka yelped in surprise when a sudden weight was slammed against his back, and he stumbled onto the ground, surprised. "Kaii! " He groaned, and rolled, flinging his paws up at the young female as and attempt to push her away.
"What're ye doiin? " He asked, in a surprised sort of way, though not really mad or anything.

"Just playin' with ya!", she replied, continuing to nibble on the tip of his ear. Her paws swiped at his paws, looking at it as another game. She giggled some, holding on tight, so as to not fall off.
"I know you think it's fun!", she teased, licking his cheek, giggling afterwards. What the heck was wrong with her all of a sudden?! Why was she doing this??

Tibuka groaned. "Fine, but it huurts! " He snorted, rolling back onto his belly then struggling up to his paws, wincing as the skin near his wounds was pulled, making it sting even more.
"Aaah.. fine! " He snorted in amusement, then began to walk towards the water, slowly because of the sudden extra weight that had been gained.
