_Riyo_ I agree with that. Especially the 3rd one. I mean, who cares, anyway? Well in todays world some people need lables so they can understand things. If you ask me the only reason people need lables (like the gender role thing) is so that certain thing has a 'name' and they know what to call it by. Pointless, no?

Labels are silly silly things..
In couples: if it's love, I don't think that they need them...
In every day life: Why must "gays" and "lesbians" be truely segregated by that title?

"at hand" ...if you know what I mean xD *cough* >> I also hate the term dyke. It just bugs me. And butch. Yuck. OH, and another thing! I don't know if I've brought this up before, but has anyone noticed that "gay" is an adjective, where as "lesbian" is a noun. I'm not fond of being called a lesbian (though I'm trying to get used to it) because it feels like somebody's throwing a label on me, like an entire identity. Gay describes somebody, a lesbian is somebody. It just feels...strange. And different. Comments?

Personally as a straighty I feel akward when I try to adress someone using proper termology..I'm not really sure what to say. Women don't like to be called "lesbian", but most of them are okay with being called "gay"....but then there are some guys who are disgusted with the term "gay", so what are you supposed to say to them? Are we supposed to resort to childish ways of getting around it like "Are you a man in comfortable shoes?" or do we just come out and be completely blunt "Do you likes the mensies?"

Alot of my friends are gay and things and I've never had a problem with terms. Though I hate the word dyke. Its just so disgusting sounding. My unckle used it once to describe someone that he knew to my great grandmother and if she wasn't sitting there I would have slaped him across the face. 'No. Thats the wrong term to use. Its lesbian. A dyke is a flow of mamga that inturputs two layers of rock ><'

I really dislike the "Love Is Love" slogan. I understand what you're trying to say with it, but I just think it's too general. It sounds too much like you're accepting of all love, inclduing things like ***** and beastiality.
Love is love only when two consenting indivduals are involved.
