"Thanks." Atem said, a little grudgingly. He struggled to remember the way to Marik's apartment. This was a difficult hunt, since he wasn't too sure where Ryou would be now. He had last seen the boy just a little bit after Ember had fallen into the coma.

Atem's first stop was down by Bakura's place. He knocked on the door, rolling his eyes, yet hoping that Bakura would be there. Bakura had gotten his own apartment as quickly as he could. After a little bit Bakura answered the door, his apartment completely dark on the inside, and he blinked in shock at the brightness outside. "Ugh..." He complained. He was only wearing pants, the bandage from before still wrapped around his middle. He glared at the two of them. "What the hell do you want?"

"Need either you or your item. Doesn't matter which, just so long as your ring is with us." Atem said bluntly. Bakura blinked.
A look of understanding slowly dawned on Bakura's face. "Oh." He said, glancing down at the Millennium Ring, which hung around his neck. "Well you already know that there's no way in hell I'll let you have it, even to borrow. Let me get clothes on, if you don't mind."

"You're so sweet." Bakura said with mock happiness, leaning over and hugging Kira. He then, yawning hugely, retreated into the gloom of his apartment to locate some form of clothes. He came back out in a black T-shirt and shoes, putting on his trench coat although it wasn't cold outside. He held up his Millennium Ring like a compass, and it pointed directly to Atem. "Oh, look. Quest over. Everyone gets to go home." He said dully. Atem punched Bakura's arm. "I know you can focus on whatever item you want. Now find the Millennium Rod!"

"Yeah, yeah, give me a break." Bakura grumbled, and the Millennium Ring glowed slightly. He paused, watching it point down the sidewalk, and glanced towards Atem. "Well? No thanks? You need to work on your manners."

"If some people would get off my back about being polite, I might just do that!" Atem snapped in a rather rude manner. Bakura snorted and rolled his eyes. He showed them down the street. "I know what you're looking for, Atem, and I don't need the ring to find it." Bakura said with a yawn, letting his item thump against his chest. Atem made an angry sound, and Bakura laughed. It didn't take long until they got to the apartment Marik lived in.

Bakura tried the door and found-- to his slight surprise-- that it was unlocked. Opening it, he found Marik yelling something and trying to break down another door. He glanced over at Atem, arching an eyebrow. "Have fun." He said, starting to back off. Atem grabbed his wrist and forced him to stay.
"AND I WILL RIP BOTH OF YOUR INTESTINES OUR AND STRANGLE YOU WITH THEM!!" Marik roared, pausing a moment to glance behind him when the front door opened. "What do you want?" He asked, narrowing his eyes. "I'm a little busy at the moment."

[Dammit, last post on this page. I'll need to use your characters for just a little bit, and then post right after this. So sorry!]
"I dunno. Atem wanted me for some reason." Bakura said with a shrug, pulling his wrist out of Atem's grasp. Atem's eyes narrowed in response to Marik. "I've put this off for too long, dammit. Marik, I'm sick of you." He glanced over at Kira. "You too, Kira." Ryou heard silence behind the door. He hesitated, then went over to it. His yami's voice made him tense, and then he heard Atem. Atem? What was Yugi's yami doing here? He heard Atem say Kira's name, as though addressing her, and his heart skipped a beat. Kira... On an impulse, he reached for the door's lock. He heard Kat move behind him, telling him not to open the door. Ryou did anyway, and it immediately flew open.
Mistake. Marik heard the doorknob turning, and abruptly turned to take advantage of this. He forced the door open, throwing it back, and felt it connect with someone or something. Apparently it hit Kat's head, making her skull connect rather painfully with the wall and knocking her out.
Atem let out a curse and jumped forward as Marik grabbed Ryou, who looked terrified and rather cut up. He struck the nerve on Marik's neck, making the blond yami become unconscious, wondering why he hadn't done that earlier. He offered his hand to Ryou, who looked utterly stunned, and helped the boy out of the room. They could check on the woman in just a little bit.
