That could be both either a good or a bad thing.

When he stopped by was the third time Nelphean saw him... The first at birth, the second at ten.. the third over a century later.
Stunning father figure.

He's just the best role model.

Perhaps, Nel replaced his with a better role model. The scandalus theif who used Nelphean's natural charm to his advantage, and only treated Nelphean with respect when it proved profitable, and teaching Nelphean magic to enhance his 'income' skills... yeah... Nel had a great childhood-early... teenish... or first 30 years... I guess to be more or less percise...

Lets talk about somethign happy... uh... Talon and Claw... They were born to this world for the sole purpose of dying in the defense of Nelphean... Ok, still depressing...
Monolith was created to battle a son who... Ok, still depressing.
General Tallfellow is a candle who has placed his life on the line to fight of an army of demons from hell... ok, I can see where that is goign to get him...
Uh...
Snow. SNow is a happy horse, because Nelphean is a good groomer.

What did you haul in?
I think he is going to feed the sword.

You'd be surprised at what he can really carry.
And I only brought home one bag of select items that are mostly gold and expensive...

SHrug. You dont' pay taxes, you don't pay many bills if any, and you don't buy things regularly. What would you need money for...
Remember the days of living off what you could steal?
"Oh, the sewer rats..."

Ah yes. Oh the fights that would break out and the havoc that would be caused if perhaps one was caught.Yeah.
Or you could go the alternative route of obtain your food without stealing it. You know, the rats and half dead and/or already dead things that required the fending off things like (in my case) jackals and vultures and other people just as low on the rungs of society.

If he was a pet, he would listen to me...
And you see, there's scary things to fight for food in your plane.
