Lord Yawgmoth

Shadowy Lunatic

PostPosted: Wed Dec 06, 2006 9:28 am

The titanic demon turned after it had spotted her barrier, it was far more sensative to magics than any form of Yawgmoth. The amount of energy it was putting off was incredible. To some it would seem that such a power didn't exist and if it did the holder was able to annihilate entire worlds at a whim. Yawgmoth bent down and observed the woman shaking in terror. Plunging his powers out the beast spoke. Not with a voice for it had none to speak with. Yawgmoth in this form was incapible of verbal speech only of demonic roars, growls, snarls and cries of anger or pain. But there was always telepathy. Something easily accomplished when his power output was at its fullest. The voice sounded disembodied, soft like a whisper but with a deadly undertone. "We are impressed......You did not run like so many others have at the sight..." The demon's mouth never moved but it kept a dead lock stare on her now ant like form.

The fact that he did not shift his gaze from her, frightened her even more. Unsure what his intention was, they remained watching one another for a moment. Just as she came to the conclusion that he was no longer civil, a voice sounded in her mind. It had been several years since anyone had spoken to her with their mind and that she had replied. This startled her greatly at first, instinctively she closed her eyes and turned her head away, fearing what could happen next. To her great surprise, the message was very clear, but somehow unsettling.

Returning her gaze to what she now deduced to be Yawgmoth's truer form, she had a very sad, pained expression on her face.
"I .. wanted to know ...." she said only those simple words. This seemed like neither the time nor place for idle chit chat.

"And you are so very afraid of what you've found out. Curiousity killed the cat.." Despite her barrier and the fact that her head was turned away Yawgmoth was determined to show off more. His huge arm swept up and literaly pulled the ground out from under taking her with it. The large patch of dirt and ground that she had been standing on was now within the titanic demon's hands. The huge monster brought her level with his huge face and massive jaws. "You have not fainted yet.....suprising.."

Her eyes widened as she watched his hand move closer to her, then scooping her up along with a massive chunk of the earth below her. She turned her self sideways, placing her hands on the remaining earth below her, now in his palm, to steady herself. Had she not felt so much fear, she would have been angered by his comments. "There is no logic in fainting, especially when one has only themself for protection. If I were faint of heart and unable to protect myself, I would have been dead long ago." she replied, sounding rather bitter.

"You sound defiant even now in the grasp of a being who could so easily crush you with a squeeze of its palm. Toss you so far that hitting the ground would cause you to splatter like a bug against glass." The demon's whisper echoed through her brain. "Every thought you have about us is running through. Your mind is not safe from us while we are this way. Do try to remember that...." Yawgmoth found it amusing to the fullest extent. That even though he was as tall as a large building, even though he was the single most powerful creature in the syndicate at this moment, and even though she was literaly in the palm of his hand. Her thoughts still turned anger towards him. Bitter and cold. He had done well picking this one for interest. "Do not lull yourself into a false sense of defiance around us no matter what form we are in. There is nothing you can do, that we cannot simply deny..."

A wind blew over the building and suddenly Reeve was standing there, a smile placed along his face. He had sensed a terribly strong being here, but now it seemed that it was the man he had met before. He could not see Yawgmoth's form, but the power that radiated from him was the same but set into a different proportion. He wanted to observe what was happening, even though Reeve knew that sooner or later he would be seen.

Depending on which method Reeve used to "see" would determine just how bad Yawgmoth at full power output would affect him. If he saw energies the amount of energy radiating from the titantic demon was plenty enough to overwhelm most senses. Yawgmoth had survived for eons and gathered the strength of each age adding onto his already unstoppable forces. He was not the Alpha of the syndicate for no reason. There was not a being within the confines who could stand against his might if he honestly wanted to kill them. And this..this was why. The demon did not see Reeve but rather detected another presense. This ability derived from the fact that being so large the demon had to gain an extra advantage at detecting smaller objects. A hollow whispering voice called out to Reeve in his head "What do you want blind man?"

"Nothing, Mr. Yawgmoth. I simply felt a very strong presence and decided to see what it was coming from. It appears you have gotten rather large." Reeve tilted his head and smiled a bit. He had always travled and met lots of interesting creatures. Some of them were massive and radiated a terrible amout of energy, none to this extent but large enough to knpw a way not to become overwhelmed. Normal beings used a different means to 'feel' a creature than Reeve did, so the power output did not bother him all that greatly.

"What you are hearing is not defiance but is the sound of a person who has not had others to depend on. What you are hearing is a person who has come to believe they do not deserve the help of others despite having yearned for help and having moved forward with their life because of it. I do not want pity, I do not expect anything less than understanding that I am bitter as a result of events in my past. Even now resting in the palm of your hand, in a lifethreatening event, I have no one to rely upon other than my self and a small amount of trust that you do not wish to kill me." as she spoke, she pulled herself up to stand on the remaining dirt that was also resting in the palm of his hand. She did not expect him to care or to have any desire of understanding what she meant by all this. Still, she felt the need to say all this. Though she had learned of so many interesting, amazing and frightening things as a result of meeting Yawgmoth, she felt he also held a curiosty and essentially wished to return the favor .. two curious and complicated people sharing their secrets.

"We are in fact rather large right now my good man. But we will be returning very shortly." The voice echoed to Reeve's mind. The demon turned its head to Ziven and the disembodied voice spoke again. "You are who you are because of the past. But take it from a being who has lived longer than your brain can phathom. Do not linger on it. It will destroy you from the inside out." The demon lowered its huge hand and sat the patch of earth down on solid ground with Ziven. It gave one last near deafening roar and as it roared a huge surge of energy flooded out of it shooting into the sky coloring it with an abyssmal black. As the energy swept into the sky the demon's size shrunk down rapidly until it was standing about Yawgmoth's height. A weird aura flurried around it causing skin to regrow and ripped clothes scattered about to fix themselves and jump onto his body. When all was said and done the tall handsome red haired man stood in the crater with a satisfied look on his face. The horns atop his head shrunk back in, the huge wings sunk back into his spine and he let out a long sigh. His eyes had returned to that thick liquid black but slowly that too was receeding in favor of his crimson red coloring. "We are ready for Aliator" He spoke with a maddening laughter that followed after.

Sliding around on all fours, having fallen over from being set on the solid ground again, Ziven thought on what Yawgmoth said for a moment before standing again. She covered her ears with her hands when he roared and looked at the beast, which was now shrinking, assumibly to his original form. She started walking in the direction of town, not wanting to chance seeing anything undesierabe in the return transformation. Though she did not hear his words, she tried to ignore the manical laughter that spread through the near-silent night.

"So I can imagine..." Said Reeve quietly as he waited for the show to be over. It was a great display of power, from the roar to the return of his origional form. Reeve's smile grew a bit as it all happened, then jumped off of the roof. He bowed slightly, then turned to the door leading to the mainroom. As Reeve walked his footsteps were almost inaudible, making it seem that if one could not see him one would not know that he is there.

Reeve walked outside and smelled the cool air. With a smile he planted his cane into the ground and leaned on it. "I do so love the cold..."

Out for an evening stroll, Ziven saw something move in the not too far distance. Changing her course to the movement, she saw it was a person. As their form came into view in the moonlight, she recognized the person.

"Good evening Reeve, am I interrupting anything?"

Reeve heard a person coming towards him, but for the moment he was in his own little world. He was pulled out of it when he heard the person speak, but he did not respond immeditately. Finally he said, "Good evening Ziven. No no, you are not interrupting anything atg all. I was just day dreaming..." He smiled a bit and stopped leaning on the cane. "Out for a walk I presume?"
