This technique was very similar to his 'Shikon No Jutsu', or 'Dead Soul Technique'. He hoped that he could use these skills in combination, creating several life like figures which would confuse even the sharpest eyes. His attempts needed to be able to make progress quickly, so he prepared his body with chakra as he had done with the Body Flicker Technique.
"Kage Bushin No Jutsu!"

When he looked out the outcome; he had created 2 very poorly done copies. There were two problems with this... 1) He was aiming for 3 copies that time, 2) They didn't appear to be living at all.. Naruto chuckled from his tree at his failure. Nova wondered how a bone head slacker ninja like Naruto learned such a technique so easily.
"Not so high and mighty now , ey Nova?"
Nova grumbled and began to focus his mind and chakra alike once more.

~Slowly, Itachi moved farther out into the field, giving himself enough room to do the jutsu itself. The day was early and the sun wasn't too far up in the sky. This day would be a great one to train, or so Damian thought. He'd be leaving this Village soon, for he needed to meet another Shinobi. Sometime passed as Itachi stood, waiting for Damian's full attention patiently, which was not normal for Itachi, but being that they were in the same Organization, he'd force himself to stay calm. A gentle wind brushed against that of Itachi's cloak, his hair fluttering lightly in the wind, exposing his slashed headband. Damian caught the eyes of Itachi as he awaited the technique.~

Thinking back, Nova remembered his training with Tsunade at thought that it would be a perfect opportunity to try it before continuing his practice of Kage Bushin No Jutsu. He flashed the handsigns Tsunade had taught him and exclaimed,
"Nervous System Confusion!"
He appeared behind Naruto, unaware of his presence, and elbowed him in the back of the neck. Before Naruto knew it, he was practically paralyzed, unable to move his body properly.
"Now to get back to my training."
His chakra focused to every tenketsu in his body, allowing him to mold it more successfully.

~Itachi's hands flew together, creating the handseals for the Kage Bushin no Jutsu, but adding an additional seal at the end. The eyes of Itachi glared slightly as he extended his Chakra, creating a mere 20 clones. Damian figured he'd not wanted to waste too much of his Chakra if he only made that many, for with the power that Itachi held, he'd be able to create much more then that. The wind fluttered once more, all of the clones seeming to stand brainless to that of anything around them. The correct Itachi walked forward towards Damian, the others walking in the opposite direction. This wasn't understood fully to Damian, though in thenext minute or so he'd know why. Each turned back towards them after walking at least 50 yards away.~

~Slowly, the clones moved closer to eachother, lowering themselves into a battle prone position. Itachi's voice spoke up beside Damian as he watched, "The clones will explode on impact with eachother, making quite the explosion.... watch..." Damian's byakugan picked out Itachi's face without turning. Itachi's lust for power could be seen when watching his own techniques. It was unfortunate that he was this power greedy, for he had the potential to become that of a Kage. That was Damian's personal opinion, though he focused his attention back upon the Shadow Clones as they all leapt towards eachother at once. While Damian had been watching Itachi the clones had gathered in a wide circle, now they all leapt towards the center simultaniously.~

~Damian stared in awe as the 20 clones clashed with eachother. The explosion was huge given the few clones that had been there. Each had created their own impact as they hit eachother. The dust cleared off slowly as the wind picked up momentarily. A rather large crater now lay in the middle of the field. He pondered if any villagers in the area would have been alarmed by the explosion, but thought better of it, being that no one would be stupid enough to walk out in a area with two Akatsuki members. Itachi spoke up after a moment, his eyes still showing their malevolent greed, "....your turn..."~

He used the steady amount of chakra in himself to easily converge with the mix of handsigns.
"Rat. Tiger. Hare. Dragon. Serpent. Horse. Ram. Monkey. Bird. Dog Boar."
The handsigns went through his mind, and he picked the appropriate ones for the jutsu.
"Kage Bushin No Jutsu!"
Only one perfect clone appeared from the technique. Nova looked over to Naruto and undid the confusion technique. Naruto, of course, was infuriated at him for doing such a thing. Nova sighed and wondered how he would create many clones like this one at once.

~Walking forward, Damian replayed the handseals within his head. He proceeded til he was a few meters away from the crater itself, his eyes gazing down into its depth. After a few moments of standing, Damian turned, facing Itachi. He'd use his figure to concentrate, picturing him as the enemy. Twitching slightly, Damian quickly put the handseals together, stopping as he hit the last one, remembering that he was to extend more chakra into the beings then with the Kage Bushin no Jutsu. The shadow clones formed one after another, forming 15. Damian didn't wish to alarm the villagers more then they already had, so he stopped there, walking forward towards Itachi, hoping he had completed the task, though confident in his standings.~

His chakra dwindled in his body, unfulfilled in creating the clones. He demonstrated his handsigns to Naruto and asked him to examine his flaws. Naruto could find none, and instead encouraged him to keep up his hard work and soon it would pay off with the ability. He swiped some hair out of his eyes and began to concentrate once again.. Nova determined himself to acheive it in the next attempt. Naruto nodded and seemed to say a few things which Nova didn't listen to as he acheived perfect balance of mind, and chakra. The equilibrium was almost a scary, yet excercising amount for a genin his level.

The chakra danced inside of Nova. He opened his eyelids and immediately began the handsigns,
"Reverse Ram. Tiger. Horse. Kage Bushin No Jutsu!"
A bunch of eerie white smoke gathered around and Naruto gazed down to see if he had acheived perfection. One perfect clone stepped out of the smoke, and Nova seemed to be disappointed. But immediately satisfied when the smoke cleared to reveal 4 other perfect clones.
"Yes! I did it!"
"Ah, your not so bad for a Genin.."
Nova narrowed his eyes and him and attempted the technique again to make sure he had it down correctly.

~After a moment of waiting, Damian forced his clones into eachother. The explosion wasn't as big as the first, for obvious reasons, but the task had been completed regardless. He turned towards Itachi, smirking, "That'll be all for now.... maybe later we can do something else...." The ground below Damian pushed forth as he made his way back into the village. He walked for some time, before coming to a pottery merchant. Slowly, Damian slid forth some coins, asking the dealer for some of his clay. The merchant nodded, handing forth the substance, at which Damian put in a side pouch beneath his cloak. With his business within this village completed, Damian left, walking for the entrance.~

Nova rejoiced in another successful attempt and was glad he had finally acheived the skills potential. He made a few more to dance around with himself foolishly in a jolly manner. Naruto joined him with his own array of clones.
"This is great! What technique will you teach me next Naruto?"
Naruto scatched his chin and stared into the sky blankly...
"I'm sure I'll think of somthing.."

"Naruto, lets further advance my skill in this area with Taijuu Kage Bushin No Jutsu."
"Umm... Okay. Its basically the same thing.. except you use a lot more chakra and.. make more clones. There are shortcuts to both the skills handsigns. With this one you can simply use the Middle Index Cross to create them, actually, you could've done that with the other one too xD."
Nova simply sighed and awaited his sensei's instruction.

"Alright. Manipulate your chakra to allow you to access more of it to create a mass replication."
"Got it."
Nova started focusing and conjuring up chakra like he had done several times before in the past. His Chakra Molding must've given him a mastery of this by now. Chakra molding was nothing easy to be accomplished by shinobi, especially to master it. It was the necessity to do so as a Medical Ninja.
