I am sorry if my snaking was getting on people's nerves. I just can't play it without fast tempo speed. I am used to playing with people on other message boards that I forget. Even with the reminders of not doing it, I just lose it. emo I was too lazy to go downstairs and play, where my best connection is, if you noticed my lag.

Ok, this has been bothering me for a while, snaking is swerving back and forth to make sure your opponent doesn't pass you, Right?

Snaking is the skill in MKDS that is drifting repeatedly to go faster than what cc is being played on. It enables you to get ahead of your opponent, is he/she isn't snaking themselves. Unlike Fish, who does not snake and get mad when I do, doesn't snake and still seems to get ahead of me. I don't know how he does it, though.

It's actually where you dash over and over again to gain lead. VERY CHEAP.

Drifting to get faster? I couldn't do that even if I tried. And what exactly do you mean by dashing, I've been socially deprived most my life.

It is basically using the Powerslide boosts left than right and repeating this in fast or an ungodly speed

"... I don't want to be perceived the way I am..."
Ok, I can't even do a normal drift/slide right, so I guess I can't really snake.

Friend codes are a ******** pain. I have three windows up, just so I can get friend codes and give them out.
Why do the codes piss so many people off? it isnt that hard, sure its more than what the other online services need but it isnt as bad as everyone complains
Because they just are. You both have to give each other little numbers, so that you can play games where you can't even communicate. I like Xbox Live, where you give the other person an easy to remember username, and then they add you, and it says "Hello. So and so would like to add you. Accept?" Then you can talk to that person with a MICROPHONE and to other people you don't know.

Nintendo's online program just stinks in general. The only redeeming quality about it are the games.
ANd you can have Video Chats too Fish. ;D IF you catch my drift. (please catch it)

it would have been easier if the DS itself had ONE friend code that a person registers, then it works for ALL games. then it wouldn't be bad.

Give it time Dude, This is there first attempt at online on a major console
They've had time to do it on DS, and they've still got it super clunky. It's even clunkier on the Wii, because you have a Wii Code, and then a separate one for each game.

Soon there will be a Mic,
I don't know. Nintendo seems to be wanting as little lag as possible, because they're already frowning upon playing with people worldwide in Strikers due to it. They also have to keep child-safe, so if they do have it, it'll only be for friends matches, which takes out the best part of XBL: Yelling at eight year olds.

Sauvie
soon the online will be less annoying for impatient people
We really don't know that. I think Nintendo may just keep going into this, too stubborn to change anything. They'd have to completely revamp the Wii themselves if they wanted username implementation, and then that would arise the problems of having to transfer friend data from already established games such as Strikers.

What was that for?

Sauvie
and they will improve it is a learning process for them now
Well, yeah, I really don't expect it to get worse from here.

I think you're lying, honestly. It seemed that you snaked when you needed just a little boost to get ahead, or to make sure you beat a certain person. Even Xilo said you snaked to beat him in one race, and Seaphron noticed you were doing it, even though this is his first day playing the game online.

Akkad`
Snaking is the skill
I wouldn't really call it a skill. It doesn't take 'skill' to snake. It's a cheap tactic so that you can get your win record higher, and have a bigger e-p***s. If you snake against non snakers, you pretty much win. Simple as that, and it seems that people just snake to beat newbies.

Akkad`
that is drifting repeatedly to go faster than what cc is being played on.
Is online like 100-150 cc? Anyway, it's more like half of a golden mushroom in speed. People also use snaking to go through places that are otherwise mushroom shortcuts, thereby making the game just a pain to play.

Akkad`
It enables you to get ahead of your opponent, is he/she isn't snaking themselves.
Or if they are, and you're just a better snaker. ninja

rofl I don't know if I'd like to see a bunch of ugly fat guys, frat boys and twelve year olds. Wait, no I wouldn't.

Then it would be perfect, and my only gripe would be the little-to-no communication, and not being able to see which of your friends are online.

Old man Fish. He sure has a point though. I like Xbox Live a lot, also. It's much, much easier and less tedious.

Why the hell do Friend codes even piss you off to such a freaking extent?, th Clunkyness will die away soon Strikers is really fine if you have a good connection and good even if you dont.

I think that the attempt at lowering lag with regional matches only is just an early Mistake, soon there should be worldwide games that have little to no Lag, If they can make the DS play worldwide the Wii can as well

they can keep it the same and it won't bother me any but for those who want gamertags or a similar system they could probably make it thatonly one side needs to add a friend code then the other side gets an "invite" and as for transferring friend info from Strikers, What info all there is is add code and play there is no Friend vs. Friend stats it wouldnt be that hard

Right what was it for?

Once again give it time, so far they are screwing up a lot, but as soon as they get a hang of online for a major console games willbe flawless in there online play, wait for Mario Kart Wii, Maybe Brawl, and surely other great titles Look in the first "era" so to speak of the wii (from Launch to PBR) There were three great games with any story and maybe 5 total great games for the system (I still hate Warioware) as soon as PBR came out its online and the entire game was a Joke, and Now we have Strikers with Leaderboards, "Seasons" Reletively lag free play and soon it will only get better
