Because you read about him before you find out that he's the antagonist. Not to mention the fact that his name goes as far back as Silent Hill 2, in that newspaper clipping. It's kinda like mentioning that Nicholai is an antagonist prematurely, you know?

Holight: I've never seen the trailers, but if they gave it away in the trailers, then the advertising department working on it are idiots. Because like I said, I didn't know that he was the antagonist, and when I found out, which was almost if not past the halfway point in the game, I was pretty surprised. Not only does he clearly say, "Rough," but thorough man that I am, I just checked the subtitles on the DVD, and indeed he says Rough. So shame on YOU for second guessing my quote knowledge.
And hey, you probably hate half naked emo Leon as much as I do. Unless you got a thing for half naked emo boys.
