Because she deserves to die. Elke sighed, she'd said this before, but now Josiah was interested. "There's alot you don't know about your father. Alot I don't know, perhaps." Her head bobbed a few times searching for the best words. "Sometimes he was blinded by rage. He'd take out anything. He'd hurt his friends, but he always stopped before he could get to me. If he had, I wouldn't be here. I'm pathetic." Her nose wiggled, debating if this was true or not. "He was haunted, too."

Elke stared at him for a moment, surprised at his question. She'd never thought about it before. Never. "Hmm. Well, sometimes it was the people he knew. They're quite a dramatic bunch. Truly unbelievable." She felt like she was lying, like that wasn't the answer, but with Danny no longer here he couldn't answer himself. She had to do the best she could. "I always thought it was his brother. But, no. Nevermind." You are idiotic. You're an idiotic bumbling dolt.

And you liked him. But why did he have to die for you to realize that, stupid? "Mhm. We were quite a duo." Elke wriggled into a sit, pushing the grass away from her pale legs. She persed her lips, looking over at Josiah. "Felt unstoppable at his side. Both needed eachother. Different ways, yes, but still." Her voice faded off. It was almost hurtful to think or speak of such times. They were too good to be true. That's why they had to end.

"Don't know. Not the kind to ask." Elke muttered, she bit her lips, awkward on the subject. How long had Danny and her known eachother? It felt short, yes, but they were so close. I laugh at the idea of you having a boyfriend, yes. I laugh.

"Not boring. More like hard to answer. More like they hurt to answer. I'll tell you whatever you want though. It's what I do." Elke thought this over for a second. It was true. She'd always answered anyone's questions. Should she have not? Stop thinking, girl. You're getting me confused.

"No, no, no." Elke patted his shoulder softly, before continuing. "My secrets are your secrets. Have at it, kid." She nodded once, preparing herself for any question coming her way. Maybe this would help. Like cleaning out a wound. But she knew nothing of that sort of thing. Clueless piece of rubbish. I'm gonna kill you.

"Course. Almost everyone here has. He killed lycans, mostly. But he really changed his ways after he met me." Elke's eyes looked Josiah up and down. "The man didn't hurt you, right?" She asked, worried she'd been talking this whole time while he was in pain. It'd be foolish of her. You are foolish. No one cares about you now. This kid is just milking you for answers, girl.

Elke nodded in approval, it was nice that he wouldn't be the type to go on a slaughter spree. "That's good and all, but you really must work on that fire of yours. Danger to us all, eh?" She smirked, trying to lift the mood in the gloomy graveyard, which was practically impossible.
