Virgil Hawkins Hmm, ok. The folks at the comic store I frequent are kinda... well... jerks. Maybe if I start a pull list they'll stop looking at me dirty for going to the other store downtown when they're out of what I'm looking for. xp I've only had one comic store my whole life, so I just walk in and grab what's in my box for the week. Tim offers suggestions as to what I might want to look for in the future and help him out with what to order the next week months in advance.

Lex Joseph Luthor Virgil Hawkins So... about setting up a pull list at a local comic book store. Do you just like, walk up to the counter and say, "I'd like to start a pull list, plz? :B" Missing out on the last Teen Titans and LoSH #14 was the last straw. stressed That's how mine does it. Hell, Mike's even good aboput checking with me about stuff that MIGHT interest me. It's how my comic shop does it too. Though they don't check with me about stuff they think I'll like. They know me pretty well so they just put stuff they think I'll like in my box and they're usually right. It's how I got into Perhapanauts. (Which I suggest picking up it's pretty fun.) It just wound up in my box.

My shop is pretty good with that too. Everyone with a pull list gets a free copy of any Preview books that come out, so we can flip through it, and get it on our list in advance.
speaking of which, My shop got in new stock today, and need to make my runs. Later everyone!

The comic store I venture to knows me fairly well enough, especially when it comes to my collecting of back issues on Namor and Gambit. The only gripe I have with the stores here in Tucson is that none of them are carrying the comic adaptation of the King Kong movie. I got one by a miracle order but now I can't seem to pin down the other two issues.

*Strolls in overhearing conversation*
The guy that pulls my books at the shop I go to is a moron. He keeps missing books. I was just glad they had a copy of Infinte Crisis #5 on the racks still.

I've had that accidently happen a couple times too.. But mostly my guys are pretty good at keeping my pull stuff pulled. Including specials and annuals when I ask nicely (bribery w/ chocolate)

I've had to resort to threats of bodily harm. The guy that used to work there rarely slipped up. The new guy is just plain bad.
And oh yeah..

Pumpkin juice? Oh well, guess it couldn't be too bad. Pumpkin bread is a favorite of mine.
*Scrounges about*
Hunh? Remy actually had it!
*Brings back your juice and a beer for me.*
Here you go, sweetheart.

I wouldn't be surprised. I kinda stocked the bar up with everything and then some when I worked for him. Hell, you wanted, you could make a Flaming Homer. I think there's still a bottle of Krusty's grape cough syrup back there.
