"It's alright if you did, you know. I am General Cross Marian. I know how hard it must be to control yourself around me," he smirked, although it was joking arrogance.
Truth be told, she can compose herself quite well...I'm probably having a harder time than her...
"Well..aren't you confident...what makes you think I liked....." She couldn't continue her sentence, the event still on her mind and makes her tongue tied and blushing a lot. Despite her background and the people she hung out with, Chloe was still pretty innocent. She does make the perverted jokes here and there..but she never really...experienced...anything...even with Daisya. And she wasn't used to that...sure, she was used to hearing about the adventures of her friends and such..but she never did anything herself.
So she really did enjoy it...
He noticed that she seemed a bit nervous, and suddenly wondered how far she had been with a man. It didn't seem to him now, that she had done all that much. Maybe she was even still a virgin.
A virgin...
"Why are you so nervous? You don't need to be with me, lovely." He let off another charming smile. He was laying it on thick now, knowing he was close to having her in his palm. More than just physically. Not that he cared about more than the physical, of course...
I could be so good to her, though...
"Relax, doll," He smiled at her,"You should learn to be less stressed out. It's not good for your pretty face. And even worse for your pretty little heart." He kept watching her intently.
'You need to relax' is an understatement...she's so tense...I could fix that easy...
Note to self..being tense and slightly tipsy isn't a good combo... She managed to think out. She decides to take Cross's advice for once..she tries to relax a bit, taking in small, deep breathes, to at least calm her nerves.
She seems to really be affected by this kind of behavior...I'm going to have to take this slow...
He chewed his thoughts over in his mind, having his own inner conflict. On the one hand, she was taken, like she kept reminding him. But she was obviously unhappy with her situation, and could really use some cheering up. Kissing could definitely accomplish that, but she would also feel guilty because of the baka Daisya. And then there was the fact that she might actually like him. He shuddered to think about that, because it went against his every rule he had set for himself. He wasn't going have a repeat of Anita and her mother. But somehow, he felt a pull to Chloe, like there was a fishhook stuck in him, and the line was thread around her being.
Don't be an idiot! Damnit, Cross, you moron. Don't think such useless thoughts.
He suddenly pulled his hand back and kept to himself, looking away from her.

"Yeah....that did feel better.." soon after she said that, Cross removed his hand and he kept it to himself. Confused a bit she looks at him with curious eyes, although she was still nervous. And in her mind..it'll be too awkward to ask why he removed it.
Oh god...the awkward silence...noo..make it go away...... she said mentally, her sarcasm evident in her thoughts, despite her throbbing headache. One thing she didn't like AT all...was awkward silences. It makes everyone feel uncomfortable. Hence why she also didn't get along really well with Kanda...it's always an awkward silence with him as well..unless you got something to say and don't mind as he chews you the hell out.
At least..that's what Daisya told her....

Her eyes widen in realization with the thought. If he found out about this....oh man was she ever screwed....he'll be upset with her...really upset...She sighs heavily and rubs her temples, evident she was having a headache.
