I think from a fluff point of view Scouts are still pretty much in the dark about the workings of the Chapter and the many Inner Circles the Chapter has. I think it would probably mean offing the future of your Chapter if you let them go around scouting when there are Fallen about. ninja
Despite what the community might say, I still think that Jeremy did a smashing job on the Dark Angels codex. It might be a bit unconventional, but by the Emperor, it works! 3nodding
Maybe. sweatdrop
I agree. emotion_yatta It is much better then the 4th edition, althou I will miss Hellfire. emo Psychic Flamer with random Str AND AP value? Yes please!

Do not think that we worship the Emperor as much as those Ultramarine fools. No, we Blood Angels shall not forget that he idly allowed for Sanguinius to perish before he made his move. Though we protect him... we sometimes wonder what would happen if we did not.
I a patron of the mighty blood angels, have heard rumors of heretical theories. These theories speak that the emperor may have let Sanguinius die. For these theories are tailored to the belief that Sangiunius had been irreparably mutated by the warp, making his wings in fact quite real. Just rumors of course.

Been looking at the following as a nice little Zone Mortalis force:
Captain with lightning claws, two full Tactical Squads with heavy bolters, meltaguns and power weapons, plus a three-man Centurion Devastator squad with missile launchers, Omniscope and gravity cannon with amplifier unit.
Total: 750 pts
Know nothing of tactica or the like yet, never played beakies before, but then again, going to use this list for an Imperial Navy themed force with these guys standing in for marines:
This is a potential assault marine, I might snip off the lower barrel and replace it with a bayonet of sorts.
I may swap the captain's loadout for something else, as right now I don't have the relevant mini as of yet, so chances are I might go with a plasma pistol and power weapon until then, which is the same amount of points as a pair of claws.
Chances are I'll break both squads up into a ranged squad and an assault squad, have the captain tag along with one and hope for the best. If all else fails I'll swap one melta for a plasma and drop the power weapon and heavy bolter in favour of a plasma cannon, turning the squad into more of a death dealer when faced with MEQ etc.

You know what I find interesting? In the Command Squads that you can buy, like the Reclusiam Command Squad, they all come with a marine that can be equipped with a Meltagun, Plasmagun, or Flamer. However...In the rules they actually cannot be equipped as such, though it vaguely suggests that the Reclusiam Command Squad circumvents this. I just thought it was kind of odd that they don't have it in the rules but the Marines come equipped as such.

It has been FAQ'ed.

These Command Squad guys are kicking my a**, or more so my right hand, I don't have a fancy hobby drill so I have to use actual drill bits from an electric drill. And since I don't want to use the drill and accidentally make the hole in the bolters and such run the length of the gun, I have to manually drill it and it's making by hand look really raw and beat to s**t T____T
But boy will the little details look good!

I bought myself a Centurion Squad and I wanted to try to magnetize their weapons so I don't have to stick to them being a Devastator or an Assault Centurion Squad. But I've never magnetized anything before and it already looks pretty damn tricky, I was wondering if anyone that has done this before could give some suggestions?

Nice, that makes it a bit more like Imperial Guard command squads with their flexibility.

In previous editions Space Marine command squads have always had access to the plethora of special, heavy and combi weapons, in this case it was merely a mistake that somehow managed to slip past the codex author and editors. 3nodding

Sounds like you might want to look into a pin vice or one of these:

one of these:
That looks handy as hell, I've been using a full-sized Ryobi power drill, with .3mm drillbits. =X

Ahhh, perhaps it was just something I overlooked until after I'd used and abused Imperial Guard in that fashion.

It is perhaps less of a viable tactic with Space Marines as opposed to the Imperial Guard, where a command squad with special weapon spam is much more common place and ultimately, a better way of making the most of such a fragile squad that cannot hold its own in an assault.

They are a bit hard to come by, but they are excellent hobby drills as they have a low RPM ratio, work on two simple AA batteries, come with two vice pieces for larger and smaller drills and perhaps most fun of all, require you to assemble it all yourself. emotion_yatta
