It is very easy to get large groups of people worked up.

Especially on a forum. Offline, you need to have a podium, a microphone, and a crowd that's willing to shut up and listen. Places like this, all you need is one person to make a big deal out of something and post it.

I feel...oddly pleased about this, definitely more so than I should, seeing as it's not usually a good thing.

Of course, I doubt I'm making much sense to anyone. And I think I'd like to keep it that way.

So we had this assembly today and there was some serious stuff being talked about in it. One of the girls was super depressed and ran out. Most of the people then proceeded to laugh at her. I wanted to kill all those people. She was so depressed that she busted her arm opening the door on her way out. After it though the bathrooms were filled with girls crying.

This guy came and did a few skits, which were actually quite good, and one of the last ones he did was about a kid. The only person that ever loved the kid was his mother who died when he was nine, his father was physically abusive, and the kids at school constantly harassed him. One day he asked some one he knew who was in a gang for a gun. He had planed to shoot his father, thinking about the best way to do it and everything, but he saw a picture of him and his mother, so he put the gun to his head. He then saw a book and on the front cover was the number of his English teacher who lent him the book. He decided he had to thank his teacher for the book before he did anything, so he called her. She could tell something was wrong and had made him promise not to do anything until she saw him the next day. So when he went to school and saw her, she hugged him and told him she loved him. It was the first time he was hugged or had anything nice said about him in nine years. He was so happy that he cried. It was his teacher who allowed him to get through his depression and get his degree in teaching. Another thing he talked about was the Golden Gate Bridge (a famous land mark in the U.S.) and how it was the top suicide spot in the U.S. and how people came from all over the country just to commit suicide. Also how the few people that survive all say the same thing: "On the way down I realized, I didn't want to die." He then went to tell us about this one person who jumped off the bridge, his doctor and therapist went to his house to find out why he suicided. They found a note: "I'm going to just off the bridge. If one person smiles at me, I won't do it."

Umm... what if parent's complain about this? Because at your age, you sure it's right to be told things like that, considering it made people cry...

Why would it not be right? Most people like it anyway.

Well, it's clear some people found is depressing to hear. It's like telling little children at the age of 8 about the severe consequences of drugs and telling them really bad life stories.

Well not only do we need to hear something like it at one point. (I left a lot of stuff out, just gave the two most depressing parts.) We aren't that young.

We had something like that at my school, too, after a student committed suicide.

I'm pretty sure it's meant to be uplifting, not depressing. Like, keeping kids from doing it ._.

Primarily humorous assembly though. Everyone loved it.

I hate my brother. His annoying voice, his blatant lies, his condescending voice and laugh. I hate knowing that he's stronger then me if I ever tried to fight him. He's the worst out of my siblings. You'll never hear me or see me say or put down a swear word, but he makes me curse inwardly nearly every time he speaks.

So I have this friend. He has extreme trust issues and an extremely bleak out look on humanity as a whole. The one person he feels he would be able to talk about any of his problems with outside of "my father should die," he won't because she's just about as emotionally ******** up. His lack of trust in people prevents him from talking about his issues which is really bad for him. Every time I try to help I can't do anything, because "oh I'll be rejected or stabbed in the back," or "Oh no one really cares about me," or "I'm so un-lovable," or anything else in his god damned repertoire of 139 pre-set emo phrases. He refuses to believe anyone at all in the world ,save his girlfriend, genuinely cares about him. NO MATTER HOW MANY GOD DAMN TIMES I TELL HIM OTHERWISE. All the issues he has makes him more depressed, I know he doesn't want help so I can't help him, but he's so god damn infuriating. I mean Just because your family is a bunch of ******** ups doesn't mean that no cares about you. WE CARE DAMMIT. I know you'll never believe me, I know you'll never care about any thing and very few people, but I just don't get why. You have so many supportive people around you, but no. That isn't enough. Unless you're depressed and outwardly show it, he won't believe you actually care for some one. DAMMIT! Why the hell is it so hard to believe? Why? What the hell have any of us ever done that makes you think we don't care about you? WHAT?! If anything we go out of our way to show you that you're cared for, but you just don't care. I don't know why you want to be miserable, but you obviously do. There's nothing I can do to change that and there never will be. I'm going to try though, and I'm constantly going to fail, and constantly be enraged by you. Go have fun in your un-deserved misery, you obviously already are.

People don't much care. They treat others well, but beyond that, most can't be bothered.

I'm not one for putting myself in a situation that'll separate the ones who wish to amuse me from the people who actually do care, though. My methods would probably cost me an arm if I over/underestimated them.
