what good would making the population unhealthy do? sweatdrop
if anything..they are just using more resources
much much more food... more cloth for clothing... they require more living space...and who would do the physical labour required to run things?

because if they're unhealthy they'll die quicker. The quicker the die the quicker you can use what they own for someone else.

It would only weaken the society. We just want less babies, and less old people. smile

Like I said...it takes more resources and natural energy to mass produce junk food than it does to harvest healthier foods.

plus, crappy reconstituted unatural byproduct food doesn't supply as much nutrients or energy as natural fresh foods

People will have to consume more of the junk food to make up for the lack of nutrients and vitamins that they aren't getting. And digestion slows down the rest of the body and makes it tired, so the more they eat, the longer their bodies are digesting, and the more languid they are. We need workers with spark!
