Tracing his hands over his lesson books Zyphier sits in the common room, studying the language book, going back to the start he is taking more time this time, and reading deeper into the language trying to pick up on quarks and slang. He makes strange, happy growls as he reads. Pausing ever few moments to pop a grape into his mouth, though judging by his eye movements he isn't stopping his studies.

-=Neko walks into the main room from outside. He has a gym bag on his shoulder, and his mind seems to be elsewhere. He looks over at Zyphier, and begins to make his way to the kitchen=-

"Hello Neko. Say I have a question for you, if you don't mind me asking." He stands up book still in hand walking tward the kitchen, he stops in the door way. "I take it there is something you had hoped I would learn here beyond just the combat aspects, that I haven't yet learned. What is it?"

"Never was very found of that one." He says with a shrug. "But I also understand that it helps to break a warrior before you train them, so that they are respectful of there leadership, and the chain of command, thus they can learn and grow to new heights."

It's a good thing we're not warriors, then.

Ninjas lie, cheat, steal, and backstab to get things done. There may be honor among us, but that's just because we're like family. Because of that, we're hated and despised among some groups. I'm sure you can relate to that. Even if you personally don't lie, cheat, steal, or backstab to get things done, if you lay with dogs you rise with fleas.
A Shinobi needs humility to hide, and a Shinobi needs to hide to exist for more than a few years. It has little to do with the chain of command and respect, but has nearly everything to do with self-preservation.

"Hiding I can also relate to. I'm hiding right now." He says with a shrug making sure the way is clear for Neko to pass should he want to the book closed around a finger that is holding his page. "So I can relate to shinobi on many levels."

"So I need to choke down more humble pie." He sighs looking at the soft pink flesh, the dull nails and feeling the barely sharp teeth in his mouth. humans are so frail so weak. Sure there exist truely expecptional ones but those are the ones that learn to overcome there weakness. He sits back down. He opens the book again. Time to get back to learning.

Fenris snuck though the Main room and into the kitchen, only to spot Neko and Zyphier in there as well. She pauses and rubs the back on her neck, watching the two for a moment. "Uh... hello... How... is everything?" They both looked so serious... she hated serious moments...
Something that would stick out to Neko would be two new features for Fenris. Rainbow eyes and a white bandage wrapped around her forehead, her bangs hanging over it; obviously hiding something.

Getting down on the floor on his knees Zyphier prostrates himself before Fenris placing his hands so his thumb and forefinger formed a diamond shape and his eyes focus only on that one point."Greetings master. I am ready to receive your lessons." He says in the language of the book.

Fenris watched as Neko went past her and sighed. "It's good seeing you too, Neko..."
Fenris stares down at Zyphier for a long moment, then crouched down in front of him. "You bow to me again and I'll slap you upside the head... neh?" She smiled and winked, then stood back up, grabbing an apple and heading out into the main room. "To be able to even do the simplest of tricks in yami... requires a lot of meditation and practice. A phenomenal amount... after reading all those books, you should understand the main concept, so I do not have to explain anything or give a welcoming speech. Though, I will ask that you work on meditations."

Standing up in one fluid motion he nods to the comment about bowing. He then gives a second nod and a "Yes Master." to the second. He knew it would be a long time in meditation before he could even begin to touch the secrets of the Yami power.

Fenris shrugged and headed down one of the halls, expecting him to follow. She slipped a purple gem from her pocket. Soon she stopped randomly in the hall and placed the gem into one of the walls. It turned pitch black, then seemed to melt into the floor and disappear creating a doorway. She slipped in and waited for Zyphier... (To the Yami dojo thread? )
