She knew what was wrong, but could neither explain it to him nor fix it herself.
The only 'become cold' she really knew had nothing to do with fire. She didn't know how to cool herself off the right way.

Nyl nodded, still silent, and held one hand up in front of her. A soft, blue-white flame appeared; as it grew, she felt herself lose heat.
Her hand closed around the small fire and she sat down hard on the porch steps, leaning against the rails.

Her voice had an out-of-breath tone to it when she spoke. "For some reason, using Ho always tires me out a lot more quickly than anything else does."

Seph thought about that. He'd never encountered a problem where a particular element especially tired a student out. "..If that's the case, and we can't get past this, then Ho may not be a very practical element, Nyl." He brought his attention back to her, his face sincere.
"But if you're willing, I'll help you any way I can to get you past it."

Mai was walking around, she had a bag on her back and equipment with her like she was going on a hunt. She looked around and then walked off into the woods. Her demon was present by view of only her eyes.

Seph nodded his head to the side. The fact that he saw Mai was pure coincidence, but the look in her eyes as well as her gait suggested a more permanent vacation.

Reeve emerges from the Main Room, unencumbered by his guitar today. He stretches languidly as usual, and looks around.
