Fomite I don't think mine's all that old, but it's certainly suffered more than its fair share of wear and tear. sweatdrop It is entirely possible. I don't think I'm going to go so far as reformatting or anything just yet. Not unless it gets a lot worse. So far it's only sporadic bits of oddness that resolve after a restart. If a restart solves it then it's most probably a memory issue. The easy answer that is just toss in more ram. xp Oh, and Mala! *loves* heart whee

Fomite Peppermint Elf Mala: When was the last time you defragmented? It could be running slow because it's programs are all scattered over your harddrive. It's not really that it's running slowly, although I could probably stand to defrag all the same. Just...random oddness. The other day I tried to open a reply in a new window, and it opened about 90+ IE windows. Yesterday, it wouldn't let me right-click on things, and when it did, I got some oddball error I'd never seen before when I tried to save images. But it's all gone away with a restart. sweatdrop It's honestly not that big a deal. Just a minor annoyance factor. I was doing that last year. Especially the 90+ IE windows. gonk Horrible!

Peppermint Elf I was doing that last year. Especially the 90+ IE windows. gonk Horrible! It freaked me out for a moment, until I realized that it was just reopening the same reply window over and over. Then I figured it was just being stupid and stuck, instead of anything potentially sinister. sweatdrop My computer's only done that one other time; that time it was a dying keyboard, which kept thinking it had a button stuck. It did all sorts of interesting things because it would decide at times that either 'shift' or 'ctrl' was stuck, even after I'd pried the keys off entirely. I got some rather unexpected results in the midst of typing until I finally replaced the keyboard.

Phoenix315 Solution... don't use IE... I suspect 90+ windows open for some other browser wouldn't be much an improvement.
