Cody didn't finish his ice cream; that tired feeling had settled in ten minutes after the start of the movie and he'd gone and fetched a blanket and was using Dari's lap as a pillow. His eyes were on the television. "When I'm better, we should go to that club again."

Dari hadn't expected Cody to last long. He'd undoubtedly be in and out of consciousness over the next few days until he got better. He simply played with the man's sweaty curls and watched as his face lost its flush and his skin felt cooler.
"Yeah?" he asked as the movie droned on, "Are you sure?" Cody had been a bit tipsy and still needed some nudging to have any fun.

"Yeah. I liked dancing with you." He rubbed at an eye with his fist. "Its fun." Any time with Dari was a good time, but it'd been fun to let loose and dance with him.

Dari smiled and would have leaned down to kiss Cody's cheek were his illusionary ribs not in the way.
"Sure, I'd love to show you off some more," he teased, but his voice was still soft and soothing. He'd bet Cody could take a nap and wake up before the soup needed attention, so he might as well.

"Sometime I'll show you off," Cody murmurred. He was drifting. "Then I'll slug anyone who tries taking you away. You're mine. I want everyone to know how much I love you." His eyes closed, his breathing evening out.

"Of course I am," Dari said. Lies aside, this was the truest thing he had ever experienced. He calmly stroked Cody's hair until he was asleep and decided that it was a pretty comfortable place to take a nap himself.

Dari woke to the sound of Cody's breathing deregulating. His body gave him a choice: wake up or not? Of course because his lover was sick, he chose to wake. He waited as the man stirred and stroked his temple. The fever reducers seemed to have been helping.
"Hey, you."
The movie had long since ended. They had been 'watching' the title screen for who knew how long now.

Cody gave Dari a sleepy smile, moving to cuddle against him. "I feel a lot better," He said, "Maybe I'll be able to go back to work tomorrow!" Nope. He knew he had the flu. Feeling well one moment and feeling terrible the next was to be expected. "Hey, want to play a video game?"

"Nope. You've got a week off, Mister Fletcher. I mean, unless you want to start a plague. it could be interesting." Dari smiled. Cody was feeling better? Good. He nodded and looked toward the television, where he assumed Cody's gamic systems must live.
"Sure. What do you have?"

"Could be a good lesson, while we study the black plague...." Cody pretended to consider it, before shaking his head. He pointed to his PS3. "I've got a few two player games. They're all on the shelf there."

Dari got up to try and set things up on this unfamiliar television, and immediately wanted to launch into a story about how he was going to buy Kevin a gaming system when he got a bit better in his English, but he couldn't. It wasn't classified, but it'd be hard to explain without telling the truth. His smile flickered for just a moment, and then came back. Toby was lucky. He'd fallen for an entity. Entities were privy to a lot more information than humans, if just to make them feel like they had a family.
"Do you have a favorite?" he asked as he changed the input on the TV.

"Nah, you pick one you like," Cody said, giving Dari a smile. He got up and connected two controllers, going over to Dari and kissing his cheek.

Dari chose a title he had heard of before but never played. Might as well, right? He didn't get a lot of the console-specific titles. He smiled when Cody kissed his cheek, and then grinned when the title screen came up. Oh good, he hadn't broken anything.
"Now, be nice to me. I bet you're a secret games master." He went back to the couch and plopped down.

"No, I'm terrible," Cody admitted. "My cousin gave me that for Christmas one year and mostly I've used it for Netflix and YouTube. But I've played a few," he studied Dari, and smiled. "Maybe I'll play more, since I've got someone to help fight bosses."

Dari laughed and nodded.
"Well I've never played it before, so we're on an equal playing field, then," he teased, and leaned over to nudge Cody with an elbow, although it ended up being more his entire arm and a bit of weight.
"Who's Player 1?" He looked down at his controller. "You are. You're in charge, then!"
