"I'll search three more doors. If none of them give us anything useful, I'll take a break then." Larai replied, going on to do exactly that. In the very last one, of course, she discovered Milly napping in a very old bed. Larai was silent, unsure of what to do or say now.

Daemon fell silent. He didn't know what to do either. His small pooled shadow slowly slunk into the room and silently moved about watching her sleep, wondering if he should wake her or not.

Larai looked over to Daemon's shadow, unsure of whether or not she should leave them be.

"We should leave her be for now....I doubt things would go any better if we woke her up like this..." Daemon whispered as he returned to Larai.

Larai nodded and left the room without another word. She then asked hesitantly once they left, "Daemon? Should we come back later? Or shall we continue our search?"

"Once we've run out of places to search, we can come back. If she's still asleep, we can try again later..." Daemon said. In truth, he really was putting it off.It might just be rubbing salt in the wounds if he kept pestering her.

Larai gladly entered the shadows, offering Daemon a hug once more once she could.
