Yeah, every zombie movie nowadays, the zombies have to eat or they die, even the "rage zombies" needed to eat people or they'd starve to death in two to three days.
On a side note, people have said Rage Zombies are like Grombies, didn't explain, I figure it has to do with how Grombies were made is similar to rage zombies.

Our flesh only deteriorates if we don't get our daily flesh/brain eating session in, hence why if our kind takes over the world if the humans hide underground, we'll all die out.
The fewer zombies, the more humans the better.
