Ellie likewise followed the familiar aura of Baizou, as it walked past her door. Decked out in a down comforter, she waddled all the way downstairs, and made her way to dive on the couch next to Bai as one big blanket blob. "Hiya, love." she said, eying the near out of season christmas tree.

Baizou's eyes brightened as he smiled, "Evening." he greeted warmly, wanting to curl up in the blanket with her. "I have a gift for you!" He said excitedly as he stood up. He ran to the back room for a few moments before coming back out with a medium sized giftwrapped package. It looked a little awkward, but well wrapped nonetheless. He sat down beside her and handed it to her, "Sorry it is a little late."

"It's fine!" she said, having stood up and rotated the blanket length wise so she could easily wrap him up in it too. But, she hadn't sat back down before retrieving his own blue wrapped box that was about the size of a shoebox, ... because... it was a shoebox. It had a shiny silver ribbon that glimmered as she carried it past the fire. "I've got yours too, love." seh said, as she took her own and replaced it in his hands with her own gift. She sat down and tucked her feet underneath her, wrapping up in her half of the huge blanket. "You first!" she said, her fingers poking and prodding at the taped spot where she would attack the gift.

Baizou gave her an appreciative smile and began to pull back the paper wrapping. Eagerly, he eyed the shoe box before pulling the lid off to look at the contents inside.

She looked over his shoulder, waiting to see his reaction, and she giggled to herself when she saw the familiar things that she had mused over for so long. The first thing he could've seen was a pair of black ear muffs that had been badly knitten by the unskilled Ellie, but they were made for his unique ears, and they had little jingling bells sewn onto the tops of each one. She giggled and felt stupid, but watched as the gift at the bottom was what she had spent weeks trying to find the right pair. It was a pair of fuzzy slippers, since he was so worried about keeping warm all of the time, and she felt even stupider. It wasn't all that much of a gift and she had her mouth read with an "I'm sorry it's so stupid.." but she didnt' say it yet.

The look on Baizou's face was pure delight as he pulled out the gifts, "These are wonderful!" He exclaimed, pulling the earmuffs out to look at them better, "I sometimes do not like relying on hoods because they crush my ears, but these are perfect!" He told her as he affixed them to his head, "And these will be perfect when I cannot find socks." He added, putting the slippers over her feet. He kissed Ellie's cheek, still smiling, "Thank you. They are amazing."

She looked down, shaking her head and blushing. "Nuu. " she said, feeling sillier and sillier. Unable to hold it any longer, she tore away at the packaging, her fingers prying at every piece of wrapping that she could, the only way she knew how to open presents, excited and childishly.

Baizou cuddled up beside her and watched her open her gift with a light laugh. Inside was a new set of art supplies including a sketch book, color pencil set, drawing pencils, and a water color pallet. "I know you like to draw, so I hope this is everything you need." he said with a slightly bashful tone to his voice.

Ellie could barely manage to breathe, and almost wanted to cry at the same time at the greatness that eveything in the box was hers to keep. She turned to the near-babbling cat boy and kissed him square on the lips, not being able to put her excitement into words.

Baizou's ears perked back up and kissed her back, cradling her cheeks in his hands. "Y-you like it, then?" He asked, resting his forehead on hers. For once, his face and hands felt warm to the touch. Perhaps for them being bundled up in a comforter, but also from the feeling he had.

All she could do was giggle and kiss him again, then pulling back and managing a nod. "You are amazing, love." she said, cuddling up to him amn dmanaging to keep the box balanced in her lap.

Baizou blushed lightly, but gave a proud smile. He was so relieved that she liked her gift and one could tell at how relaxed he was suddenly. "Thanks." He murmured with a hint of modesty.

Again, she giggled, and she carefuly moved to set the box on the floor, before practically tackling Bai. She snuggled up tightly to him, her feet up on the couch, so she was laying down in a way. The slippers were too big for her feet and they slid off as she dove at him, and she smiled warmly, as she found a comfy spot on him and yawned. "I love you, Bai." she said, unable to try to think of anything easier to say.

Her words sent chills down his spine, as they always did. Baizou grinned and leaned up a bit to kiss her neck, "I love you too, Ellie." He replied. All of a sudden, his mind flashed to the poem she had written when they had first met in the Muffin, "So, have I won your challenge?" He asked, wondering if she would remember.

"Why.. of course." she said, making a pretend checklist in the air in front of her face and laughing, as she yawned. "Yep." she said, closing her eyes softly and humming a little tune.
