The Stormguppy doesn't really strike me as a vehicle that will excel at one role over any other. It isn't a real anti-horde weapon, nor does it seem to excel at vehicle hunting. It might as mentioned above find its niche in popping transports, but transport heavy lists may become a thing of the past with the 6th, who knows?
Certainly doesn't help that it is an expensive vehicle in an army that already has some excellent fast attack choices.

From what I've seen, It seems to be designed to hunt other flyers. Most of them dont have armor above 12 unless I'm mistaken

AV 12 sounds about right for flyers, even the Thunderhawk has AV 12-12-10, while most others out there have to made do with AV 10 all round.

I will believe transport dominance ending when I see it, Rhinos and Chimeras have some of the worst (or from GW POV best...) points-to-cash ratios in the game...

So... question.
I've a Space Wolves army that i'm still constructing, and I've decided that I need 2 flamers.....
Problem is, the space wolf troop frames don't have them, nor does anything else space wolf. And I can't find them in the bitz section of the games workshop site on either the space marine or space puppies section...
Where do you guys get your flamers? I refuse to believe they don't exsist...
Also, random question... Melta bombs.... Don't I actually have to glue them on? If i do, where are they?!?

Dedicated bitz stores, or in regular ol' Tac marine boxes. Those come with a Melta Gun, Flamer and Plasma Gun.
So I'm sure if you have some friends or other people who play regular or even BT/BA/DA that they probably have one or two flamers lying round in their bits.

From what I remember back when I played, grenades werent that big an issue. Dunno how a**l the rules are nowadays, but then leaving off grenades and bombs was okay.

Yeah, melta bombs and grenades can be awkward to put on your marines.
Especially melta bombs, those things are massive and there's really no good location to stick one other then having a marine holding it.

ive always found that although the "named army" marines (DA, BT, SW) look amazing, they look a bit too over the top with all the bits crammed onto one unit, if you get a box of standard tactical marines with every box of basic wolves, then you get a better balance of the chapter bits across twice the men, plus you have the flamers and bits from the standard marines too smile

What is the new units, such as the dark vengeance good for? Haven´t fully digested the codex, but what I can tell is that the LS Vengeance has 2 function; mobile-weapon-platform and mobile-cover-save if you take the Darkshroud variant.
Weapon-Platform really comes from the plasma-storm battery and being a heavy support choice, althou I would have wished the vehicle to have just 1 higher AV then it´s smaller counterparts. But still, plasma weapon with the option of 2 blast variants is a nice addition to the ravenwings list of firepower. biggrin
Darkshroud grants a Shroud special rule to all units in 12", which makes him semi-ideal for making sure that your black armoured brothers on bike can feel more saver when driving around covers. Too bad the vehicle itself won´t get any shrouding from the relic but what ya gonna do. :p
DW knights and RW knights... they look and seem awesome, but I´m not entirely sure how and when to use them. :-/

So, I thought I would mention I am working on a Greco-Aztec themed space marine chapter as my first army, named the Dionysians. It is going well so far. I love the fact that I have them being having heavy links to the Emperor's Children. The story is picking up well, if anyone is interested.
