"My oh my, what in Wonderland happened to you two?!
Raven had remembered his promise to Marchie, to visit her home when he was on his next mission. I had completed his work and knew that he had plenty of time to return to the castle. So, he decided to return to Marchie's home.
There he saw Matt and Ashle, both covered in blood and soot, their faces twisted in sheer agony.
He recalled Ashle from the night she had arrived at Marcie's home in the world beyond the Looking Glass, when Ashle's face was black and blue from swollen bruises. He remembered how his heart ached for her, how he hoped that she would stay out of harm's way.
Now, here he stood before her, in a Suit uniform stained in blood. He wondered if she would recognize him. He wondered if she knew who the Suits where. If she did, she would certainly be frightened, especially since his uniform was covered in blood. He pursed his lips, hoping she wouldn't be too frightened.

Ashle turned to him. Matt turned to where the voice was coming from. They both sighed in relief...Matt said, "Raven...You have no idea what we've just been through....The castle is on fire....and we needed to get the children out of that place....."

Raven froze instantly, his insides turning to mush. It was two things that Matt had said that struck him dizzy. He had addressed him by his name. He knew his name, Raven. It was also what he said about the castle.
How . . . does he know my name?! It could have been her. The girl could have told him . . . I did tell her my name was Raven when I met her. I didn't think she would come to Wonderland. I can't just tell him that isn't my name. She'll recognize me and object to that, making me look like a liar. I'll keep quiet about that matter, though it certainly won't be a good thing. Secondly . . . the castle?!
"The castle is on fire?!" he shrieked, "But . . . but how?! What happened?!

Ashle said, "There was a rebel attack..." She wiped her forehead and sighed. "And....We can't tell if it failed or succeeded....We only met up with each other because of the children..." She walked over to Raven and said, "Could you let us in? We need to talk to Marchie..."

Children in the castle?! Rebel attack?! This . . . this really can't be good . . . Please say most of the people in the castle managed to escape . . .
"I suppose I could," Raven said, sighing heavily, "We can talk inside," he began to swiftly undo the fastens on the side of his right pant leg, "But if she isn't answering, there may be something wrong." Raven revealed his gun holster and withdrew his pistol.
"It's only right to stay alert," he said, softer this time as he released an empty magazine from his pistol and stuffed it with a new and full one.
"Stand back," Raven said, holding an arm out and cocking his gun with a thumb.
He pressed his back against the wall, slowly reaching for the door's knob with his left hand while his right hand held his gun ready. The knob refused to turn completely and the door wouldn't budge.
"The door's locked . . . I suppose it's safe to assume that she's okay . . . but still, we should get in and see." He turned to face Ashle. "Do you have a hairpin, Ashle dear? I could pick the lock."

Ashle nodded. She reached up into her hair and pulled out a bobby pin. "Is this good, Raven?" she asked.
Matt stood to the side. He kept the children calm and collected, making sure that they knew that it was all going to be okay. He was worried about them....How would they get back to their parents? He wondered, ruffling one little boy's hair. He tried to look where Ashle's voice was coming from...He wished that he could at least see her....He reached over and tried to hold her hand.
Ashle felt something tap her arm. She looked down to see Matt's weathered hand. She moved her arm to grab his hand ind intertwine her fingers in his.

"Yes sir" The answer was short and direct as he started to walk without delay and at his own pace, not really looking back to see if the man followed.
The transition to the parliament was fast and without remarks, the man he had left behind with his hart still beating and blood running from his numerous wounds, the silver haired woman keeping watch on him silently and the men behind him making their way past him rapidly, Ace of Diamonds barely noticed the small boy tailing along as their steps resonated on the big and empty rooms everywhere.
Nobody looked at the exchange of words with no apparent interest, following quietly as they went trough the corridors to an abandoned part of the castle, and it would not be too much to say that the abandonment of this place was not due to the fire but rather than no one seemed to have cared for the place in ages, and then there he was, the man who had followed him in this hellish low scare-tactic with the only instruction not to get caught and yet it was evident that was just what the Boy had managed to do, and it was not that the king was any older than what he appeared, he just knew more than he should for his age and that made his somehow colder, colder to the figure of his comrade caught up and tied to a chair, of the Ace of hearts in front on them barely alive and looking at them.
His head was cool and his patience was running off so when his eyes met those of the Ace of Heart's behind the broken frames and the shattered glass he did not see the pain on the man's eyes Nothing personal pal. was his thought when took the decision, the Heart's deep blue pools could not reach him as more than empty holes on a dying man, empty holes making one more delay to his plan and he was already running late so the decision was quick and not even difficult, He was not willed to loose another second, first thing inside the door he had taken the small gun he carried out and shot the man across the room full on the forehead.
"Well, if you have no more of my time to waste I advise we get moving" Said the small king placing the gun back on his holster, not looking back at all as he exited the room in to the forest where his carriage had been waiting for a while now
Marcie was barely done getting changed on the outfit the queen had picked put for her when she hard the knocks on the door, taking a small breath she looked back at the queen smiling apologetically "I am sorry darling, but could you go and turn the oven off? I would not do to get the tarts burnt" Said the hare before making her way to the door as fast as she could "What is all this ruckus about?" she asked holding the door open, hand on hip before taking a good look at the scene and going almost blank.
"Oh no no no no no, no." She said looking form the Hatter to Ashle to the children to her lover "They can't stay here." she said resolutely looking back a bit nervous about the Queen "Go to the tea shop, I will bring food and clean clothes for you all later, just stay away from here for the day, it might get dangerous and I don't want no kids in my home if anything where to happen" after this she was not going to give any explanations "and you" she said pointing at raven "You just pick the most awful times to visit, did you know?" half a smile was drawn upon her lips.

"I understand. I can do that." Maria said, smiling back at Marcie before going off to do as instructed. While she was here, she would do her best to get anything asked of her done as quickly - and hopefully efficiently - as possible. As she went to the kitchen and turned the oven off, she thought of the burning castle and of Nobody. She bit her lip, worrying slightly about what might have become of him - or what will. Judging by what little she's heard and the prejudices pounded in about certain parties by a strong distain she held for her mother, the Suits were dangerous and best left avoided. She sighed, doing her best to clear such thoughts from her mind.

The bullet didn't hurt much; Victor could only comprehend a sudden sharp pain in his head and the brief feeling of blood trickling down his forehead. The room became one large blur, the sounds and sights mixing together like water. The familiar figures in the room, the Ace of Diamonds, the Jack of Diamonds, the Jack of Clubs, the Ace of Clubs, and the White King who shot him were all blurring into the background.
The pain quickly subsided. The sounds completely disappeared and the room grew completely white. It doesn't hurt at all anymore . . . I don't even feel the bullet in my head . . . I feel like . . . I'm floating, like I'm being lifted by something . . . is this what dying is like?
The Ace exhaled a final breath, a sudden flash of new images and sounds filling his conscious at the speed of light. Who's that child? Oh . . . that's me! And that's mother! Now I see where I got my charming looks from . . . Her long black hair and those piercing blue eyes . . . It's no wonder I turned out like her. Who is that? Is that . . . oh yes . . . the Jack of Hearts at the time. That's him taking me away from my home. I was crying so much, screaming to leave and have mother back. Ah, there's the Jack of Clubs shoving that needle in my neck. It hurt so bad . . . . but very soon, I passed out, woke up, and didn't remember a thing. What are these images? Ah yes, my life as a Suit . . . training hard with guns and martial arts . . . killing people . . . and meeting many women. There's the Ace of Hearts pushing me around, making me miserable, killing Cosette, and violating me in the execution chamber . . . and there I am spilling his blood . . . There's all my missions, there's the Ace of Clubs tending to me after solitary confinement, after I tried to kill myself, after I escaped my execution, and the evening we shared in that strange home. And there it is . . . the final memory . . . everything that happened tonight . . . those are my memories? Well, I really did live a rather interesting life . . . I still wonder why the White King chose to kill me . . . no matter . . . this is the end, after all . . .
Victor Shayn closed his eyes, releasing his fists, and drifting into an eternal sleep. Goodbye, world . . .
Jack stared at the fallen Ace of Hearts. His head was tilted completely back, blood dripping from his forehead and the back of his head. His hands were relaxed and his chest was no longer moving. The Ace of Hearts was finally dead.
"Well done, Nobody," Jack said, crossing his arms, "Though I must say," he reached into his jacket, withdrawing a sleek silver magnum, his Desert Eagle, "I would have much rather killed him myself." He cocked the gun with this thumb, staring narrow-eyed at the boy.
"Jack of Diamonds," Gestalt said softly, "We should leave. Shall I dispose of the Ace of Hearts?"
"Yes, do just that," Jack replied, not taking his eyes off the White King for a moment, "And please, Ace of Diamodns, release the Eight of Spades from the solitary confinement chamber. I highly doubt he was let out."
"Forgive me, Marchie dear," Raven said with a smile, "I just had to say hello to you again . . . besides, this is the only place I can come to now. The castle was burned . . . as I'm sure you already know."
The Ace glanced at the children that surrounded Matt and Ashle. "What will become of them? You certainly cannot take care of all of them."
((Rest in peace, Victor...))

"Don't treat me like one of your dogs" Said Nobody taking a glance at the Ace of Diamonds rather than the jack, keeping his stoic expression as they made their exits, following the path the Diamond was taken absentmindedly, the fire had died already and he wondered just how many survivors there might be yet his mind was not one once away from the conversation at hand either "I don't need a pat on the head for disposing of a man no longer needed." He said not waiting for the carriage door to be open for him but rather opening it for himself and stepping in the carriage.
"He was an eye sore, so far as I am concerned" The king said in his soft and unshaken voice as he waited for his companion to get in to the carriage. "And I think you will agree that there are more important things at hand, I don't want my tarts to grow cold, i don't know about you."
"Off you go" she gestured to the hatter and company just to make clear she would make no argument or discussion about that before turning to the soldier.
Marcie gave a weak smile as she forgot about the task at hand for a second, pressing a finger to the man's lips and closing her eyes for a long and heavy breath "good lord no, I had enough with one hatter as a child, i rather not repeat the experience tenfold" she said half jocking "let's not discuss such an issue at the moment, the Queen and I just baked some tarts, you might come in..." She said looking at Raven half lovingly half mockingly "but not on those shoes, please take them off" she said pointing at the muddy, blood-stained shoes.
(RIP Ace of Hearts, might your next life be better than this one.)

((Ashes to ashes, dust to dust....))
Matt and Ashle nodded. THey herded the children a few blocks down, to the tea shoppee. Matt opened the back door, and lead them down to the storage cellar. He said, "Come on kiddos...." He began to walk down the stairs, and almost skipped one. He felt the warm hand of Ashle grab him back. He took a sharp breath in, and then took the step. Finally he was able to feel the lightswitch. He flipped it up, hoping for a second that the darkness would lift. Alas, it didn't. Of course it wouldn't, you idiot, he thought to himself, his heart sinking. You're blind. You're always going to be blind. No matter what you hope.
Ashle said, "Come loves. We can set up some cots..." THe older ones helped her. She moved quickly, setting up some sheets to make rooms. She sighed. "Now, everyone is going to have to be very very quiet. We will try to get you up in the light durring the day, but if the shop is busy, then we won't be able to...THey can't know if your here. There is a tunnel in this door here. THe older ones will help the youngers to get in. Its lock that will catch behind you. I have a key. I will get you went its safe. Make sure to take the cots and sheets with you....There is food in the jars, but ration it. We will be back later...." You could hear the strain on her voice. SHe walked over to Matt. "How are we going to do this, Matt?"
Matt shrugged. "Ashle...." he said. He took her into his arms and put his face in her hair. "I don't know, Ashle...." he said. He took a deep breath, smelling her hair. He started to cry. "Oh god, I missed you...I missed talking to you...I missed touching you...I missed being able to be near you..." He held her tight to him. "I'm never going to let you go. I'm never going to say goodbye ever again."

(FFFFF I wrote a good response to the rps and it got lost...FML..I'll have to re-write it...>.< Sorry if I wasn't active the past few days. I was visiting my grandparents and the internet was slow. RIP Victor..may your soul rest not in the Joker's belly)
The Joker sensed a soul freshly separated from its bodily vessel. It had a strong aroma and it emanated the very aura of the Ace of Hearts. Well well...Death has finally caught up to him.“My, my...it looks like your guesses are always right, my friend” the Joker chuckled, “The Ace of Hearts is no more.” He sniffed the air and smirked, “I wonder how his soul would taste like with Earl Grey?”
Amy looked at the two and sighed, “Alright...you two go wherever you want to. Violet and I need to find a safer place to reside in. Perhaps the small inn near the Looking Glass.” She said as she picked up the frail child.
“Thank you so much, Amy.” Shinsei said and bade goodbye to the little one and his comrade. He watched as their retreating figures got smaller and darker the farther they went. He sighed, worried about their safety. He preferred to split up at a later time and at a definite location, but what’s done is done. He needed to focus on the matters at hand. He turned to Siyu and said, “Well...where would you like to go? The Northern side is the one that’s least affected by this fire.”

Siyu heaved a large sigh, turning away from his blood brother. ”Yeah . . . let’s go,” he muttered, ”Just because the castle is burned doesn’t mean the remaining Suits will forget our mission. Let’s just get this done. We’re in enough trouble as is.”
The Two of Spades began to pace the crooked paths, keeping his eyes away from Shinsei. He knew that if the two of them had to take out a group of resistors, they would need more than they had strapped to their legs. He kept his eyes on the ground as he thought hard on where he would find what he needed.
”My, you certainly are an interesting fellow,” Lewis chuckled, as they finally reached the outside, ”Ah, fresh air . . . well, it does smell of fire, but it’s better than being trapped in there. Come, Joker. Since you spend your hours away in the execution chamber, I take it you will have to adjust your eyes to the sunlight and follow me to find a tea house!”
Grow cold . . . ?
”You’re right,” Jack replied, keeping his gun at hand, ”Let’s be on our way.”
The Jack of Diamonds turned to his doll. ”Gestalt, Find a body bag and take that wretch’s body to the gravedigger.”
”Right away,” Gestalt said, seizing Victor’s limp, bleeding body, ”Where will I find you, Master?”
”Hmmm, perhaps you can stay with us and we’ll make a trip to the gravedigger,” Jack replied, crossing his arms, ”Still, put that thing in a body bag.”
”Yes, Master,” Gestalt said, immediately heading to the execution chamber’s storage closet.
”You see that?” Jack said with a smirk, ”That is ultimate obedience.”
”Oh dear me!” Raven shrieked, immediately slipping his shoes off, ”Yes, I’m afraid I have become a rather bloody mess.” He stood straight, smoothing his jacket and adjusting his tie. ”So sorry, Marchie dear.”

"Oh dear...I fear it is too bright outside!" The Joker exclaimed, lifting his right arm to shield his eyes from the sunlight. "How far would it be? I would like to get back here somehow...the bodies are piling and souls are roaming...and I am one hungry fellow, if I may say." he chuckled, walking along the dead grass.
Shinsei took a deep breath and followed along. "Wait a minute..." he paused, "We'd need more weapons if we're taking out resistors, to point out the obvious. There might be a weapons warehouse if we take a left turn about five blocks from here..." he said, taking out his pouch and card. Looking inside, he found nothing but spare change, and the money he has wouldn't be enough to buy the weapons they might need. "Oh no...I'm out of money..."

"Nothing to worry about, dear friend," Lewis chuckled, placing a pale hand on the Joker's shoulder, "This is Wonderland, after all! Everyone here loves tea. I assume there will be a teashop near by. Don't worry about the dead today. That's what I'm doing."
Lewis glanced back at the destroyed castle. "Though I must say, I have a lot of work to do after our tea. There are lots of bodies for me to collect!"
Siyu pressed his lips shut, stopping in his tracks. "No money, huh," he replied, just loud enough for Shinsei to hear. He took in a deep breath and continued walking. "Don't worry about it," the Two said, "Let me handle it Just lead the way."
