Cassie glowered at Ketsueki and rolled her eyes in Kelab's direction. She cracked each of her knuckles, with each sound a wisp of shadow gathered around her hands, indicating she was angry, very angry.

Ketsueki didn't notice Cassie's reaction and chuckled again. "Then burn him some more"
Crade sensed Cassie's anger and looked at her, wandering what would happen next.

Cassie glared at Ketsueki once more before wandering off for a moment to grab her sister's hand. It only took her a moment to control her anger at Ketsueki and impatience of the entire situation. She and Shay marched back over to Alexander's side where Cassie began whispering urgently in Shay's ear.

When Shay and Cassie chose to do magic together, as one, it became very powerful. Even more so when it was applied to humans. They intoned together, "Alexander." At first, just that, to see how susceptible he was.

Cassie glared and tightened her hold on Shay's hand and their free hands almost met in front of them, only an inch apart. A yin yang sort of symbol was created an spun between the two. It was mesmerizing and slightly infused with the power of the amulet, compulsing everyone to stare, including Alexander. They spoke his name again, "Alexander" this time layered with the sort of pull the amulet created.

Cassie snapped, "Oh stop it. I'm not torturing you so stop sobbing like that." She muttered under her breath about how much easier life would be if everyone would cooperate and it soon digressed into wordless mumblings.
Shay gave her sister a look but didn't stop her from speaking harshly to Alexander. She did know that they didn't know all the Society members wanted from him but she did repeat Freeda's earlier question, "Why have you been ordered to kill us?"
Gregory sat up in his bed and crossed his legs. After Brisinger had made it to the healer's ward he'd made his own way to bed. He smiled to himself and wondered what he should do in the day.
