Seb was... not looking forward to today. Sure, he loved playing quidditch, and a win would mean more than anything.... but what if he couldn't deliver? What if he managed to mess up again? He paced around his room a bit, before finally heading down. Stressed or not, he had a job to do. Their backup Seeker was a first year, and they'd likely get absolutely destroyed by Charlotte. He... probably would too, but it'd at least be a closer race.
As he walked outside, Seb whispered a quiet wish under his breath. Maybe, just maybe, his bad luck could just... pause for a couple hours or so. He just needed one win. One... anything to make himself feel useful. He ran a hand through his baby pink hair, sighing as he walked onto the pitch. If he could do this, it'd be a major turnaround, but there was hope... probably. He tried to stay a little away from his teammates, but Roxie walked over and put an arm over his shoulder while she walked him over closer to the group. At least it brought him a little smile?

Half Blood ☆ Fourteen Year Old ☆ Chaser  ★ Location : Quidditch Pitch - Hufflepuff vs Gryffindor (Game 5)

Gryffindor did not have a great run this year. Bowtan was a little let down about the whole thing but there was always next year. Best they could hope for was that they could keep Hufflepuff from getting the cup. If they could prevent them from doing more then just catching the snitch... Yeah somehow it would be better to just let Hufflepuff win and pray Slytherin did their part in the final game against Ravenclaw.
Walking onto the pitch, Bowtan hoped that Gryffindor's luck would turn around. She didn't expect much but wasn't about to give up, even if taking the easy way out would be, well easy.

Fiadh felt bad for Sebastian. He didn't have the greatest run this year and she knew it was wearing on him. Maybe his luck would turn around this time. Granted now wouldn't be the greatest time for that to happen. With today being Hufflepuffs last shot they needed to get points on the board. Not only did they need to catch the snitch but they also needed to get some shots past Finn. Fiadh walked onto the pitch as prepared as she was going to be. Hair tied up and broom in hand she knew what she had to do, she just needed to do it.

‘Its not like we’re about to lose Aughrim, except it will feel like if we don’t find a way to win,’ thought Finn, as he headed down to the pitch, almost dreading what was to come. It was easy to feel good about his performance in the last match, as nobody made it to his goals to try their luck against him. He was fairly sure he couldn’t get that lucky twice. The Cup was well and truly beyond reach at this point, and, at best, the Lions could contest for second place, assuming they caught the Snitch and if they scored enough goals, they could perhaps take that outright.
A loss today would cast a long shadow going into the summer holiday, as Finn couldn’t say for certain whether his heart could be in it for a fifth season of futility. It wasn’t as though he planned to go pro after graduation, and doubted Roxie would tap him to be her Vice-Captain, and the hours of practice-time could be reallocated to studying for his OWLs, which Mom and Dad were already getting on him about preparing for, and Aunt Hannah suggested the idea of an ‘OWLs Boot Camp’, and he wasn’t so sure she was joking. A win and a decent save percentage would go a long way to giving him reason to feel there was a point to being out here.
‘It’s nice out today, at least. It would be nice not to lose Aughrim today.’

There were a couple of subs in today, but that was okay. It was still a beautiful springtime day, the sun was out, white, puffy clouds decorated the sky. It was a great day to play! Xiang watched to make sure all the players were on the pitch, then chirped her whistle to get everyone in position. Xiang opened the supply chest, letting the bludgers escape first. She then opened the door to let the snitch fly free too. They took the quaffle in hand and kicked off to the center of the pitch. "Good morning, darling dumplings! Today we have Gryffindor and Hufflepuff facing off! Two great teams going head to head in their final matchup for this season."
Xiang looked at both teams, then continued her little speech. "As always, there's no magic, no cheating, and only positive attitudes! If everyone's ready, let's get this started!" Xiang tossed the quaffle up dead center, then backed up rapidly to watch the game begin.
