stare And I think I never gave you clearance for your version of the events, Stellar. You're not the Mando authority here and have no real right to decide what happens to my characters. I gave Shinn Permission to play MtI. Not you. And I believe Ive stated that several times. Thats your general warning, Stellar.
Your mando Cybercomandos are not the future of the Manalore Warriors. Just an offshoot brought on by a fetish with technology. You gave them mecha, servitor robots, and big a** personal starships, ballooning their power beyond that of other Mando clans. But in that process you have forgotten what makes a Mandalorian a mandalorian. The Maki are cyber comandos but no longer Mandalorians. You want the title of Mandal'or? You will have to take it from Shinn. And I'm fairly certain he's not going to let go of it just because you resurrect a dead man.

stellarmagic Shinn... this is a general warning. My next post with Kusei is going to bring back Cale's Mandalore the Immortal... in rehab. sad sad sad I think I used the words Jodo Kast in the post as well. You can't call me Jodo Kast. You sold out to the Empire, and in your desparation to grasp power in the Mando'ade clans, you dug up your own Immortal and gave him a false body. The man I found on that blasted moon was dead, abandoned by his comrades and left to rot. I gave him peace, buried him like a soldier should. In his memory, I took up his armor and his name, casting my own life behind to do it. I have become Mandalore the Immortal. I will bring honor to his name. But there lies no honor in your clan. Its not mercy that you gave your man, but a new kind of hell and tourture. You would have been far kinder to have let him die in peace. But Kindess requires humanity. The Maki carved that out of themselves long ago, to make way for their new machine parts. Nothing exists of the Maki but the droids they have become.

I thought we'd agreed to the events Cale... I could swear upon a stack of holy bibles that we'd decided on that chain of events.
I sold out? I sold out? Do the words DEBT OF HONOR mean anything to you? If you were a real mandalorian you'd have fought to throw out the imperialists like the Fett and Maki clans.
You've made me into your enemy when I was your ally if you played Mandalore the Immortal the way Cale designed him.
@ Cale... WHAT DO I DO? Call me Tuesday and we can try and figure out what the f*** to do to remedy the situation.

I remember the bargain that the previous Mandalore the Immortal made. Once the True mandos regained their home system, the Empire would but out of Mando Polotics. In return, we'd fight Kenet with them and train some of their troops. It wasnt a dept of honor, it was a buisness arrangement. And with Kenet out of the way and the home sector back in our hands, the deal is complete. Mandos look after Mandos. We don't baby sit the Empire. Thats the Sith's job.

Thats why most of the Mandalorians aren't still in Imperial service after the Battle of Mandalore. Ari Maki is head of a Provisional Government, you now a temporary post until a new Mandalore can be selected?
Only a handful still see themselves as having a debt to Borill Elsyn for their freedom.
@ Cale: What am I too do... I remember you saying that MtI wasn't dead. If he isn't dead what the hell do you think his reaction to Shinn's character will be?

Nope, I agree with shinn and Stellar. We were discussing this between my banished Mandalore.
Shinn's adopted and become MtI, and the old one died. MtI lives on in name and honor, and his armor. Not his body.
Bad move Stellar. Want a cigar to mull things over with? *Pulls out some cubans*

EK, you really shouldn't have gotten in this discussion. Your just asking to get someone to rip you a new one. This is between those three to figure out.

Perhaps we can come to a compromise. MtI is dead. Okay, he's dead. In his BIO, Shinn has his character take the armor and the name of Mandalore the Immortal. To my mind this is a desecration of MtI's body and memory.
The only characters that take the armor of a fellow mandalorian are either close friends who helped him in battle as tokens of his memory, immediate family, or a man out for a trophy. Shinn's MtI falls under none of these. He acts more like a lost soul trying to find his way.
Let's smooth things out.
Suppose MtI Immortal's armor was given to another character after his body was recovered. Lets say that this character recieved it as an inheritance, me and Cale had been discussing the possibility that MtI was Boba Fett or a Fett clone.
Here's where Shinn's character comes in. The original MtI had no family of his own, the closest there was would be his character, maybe even having MtI's genetic material as the template. After MtI's death Voor and Wedgi'ka hunt down the clone and present him with the armor. With it the former Imperial Clone Knight decides to hunt down those responsible. That brings us to where we currently are.
Now how to give Shinn the title of Mandalore the Immortal, a title he's been using without authorization from the mandalorian people.
A council of Mandalorians is assembled to select the next Mandalore. Voor and Wedgi'ka bring the former Imperial Knight. With Voor's and Wedgi'ka's support he is selected as the next Mandalore. In an unprecidented move he requests that all further Mandalores be given the name Mandalore the Immortal, both to show the everlasting soul of the Mandalorian people and to honor the last Mandalore.
How's that work for a compromise?

How about you just not try to compromise with things already established?

Stellar, you familiar with Mandalore the Ultimate? Nothing is known about him prior to becoming Mandalore. To do that, he took the Mask of the previous Mandalore, who was ripped apart by the beasts of Dxun. By his tradition's laws, he took the mask of the old Mandalore, declared himself Mandalore, and became the new leader of his people.
He was not a close friend, relative, or a trophy seeker. By the laws of the Mando'ade, Shinn's character has as much right to the title and name as anyone else.

That was when there was one mask that was handed down from mandalore to mandalore which signified the title.
That mask no longer exists, and I'm pretty sure its assumed that the new Mandalore must be known to be a Mandalorian, from the way the Shinn's BIO is set up, he isn't a known mandalorian. One would think he'd be forced to prove that he was a mandalorian before being accepted as the leader. Thats what the council is for, his character is the apparent new mandalore, but since he isn't a mandalorian he must prove himself.
Plus the thought that the Mandalorians that were Dxun wouldn't have recovered and buried the body seems an insult to them. I'd think Voor, Wedgi'ka, and the other Mandalorians would want to honor their fallen leader.

Oh screw it... I'll just have Ari say he's the new Mandalore and leave it at that. It's not important to Kusei's plot. You might want to keep his former life under wraps... No telling how the Empire would react if they found out a former imperial knight was the new mandalore. EDIT: Here's the edited post. Quote: Ari Maki led Kusei into the tall corporate headquarters for the now defunct Mandal Hypernautics Corporation, which they’d requisitioned for use as the new capital building of Mandalore. Smiling quietly Ari turned to his granddaughter as he stepped through the doors, “I saw the images you captured on Abregado Rae, and must say it certainly looks like the Mand’alor...”
“He’s dead,” Kusei said coldly, “I can’t have seen him because he’s dead.”
“Not exactly,” Ari answered with a smile as he turned and stepped through a pair of doors to an improvised medical ward.
Kusei followed, frowning, “What do you mean not exactly?”
Ari smiled, “I mean that the armor isn't buried with our fallen leader.”
“What?” Kusei hissed, as they stepped through another pair of doors into a rehabilitation center.
“The armor is still in use…” Ari began, growing a smile as he spoke, “…by our new chieftan.”
"You're kidding," Kusei replied glancing through the glass at a number of warriors going through rehabilitation and adjusting to new limbs or whole bodies that had replaced injured ones.
Ari nodded, "He's quite different then our last leader, but he has also taken up the Immortal mantel, perhaps to start a new tradition in the Immortal's honor." A slight smile slipped across his face, "Of course there is only one Immortal in the eyes of the Maki, the one that gave us back our heritage, and we will continue to grieve his loss."
"Why haven't I heard this... surely the news of his..."
Ari cut her off before she could finish, "Our new Mandalore prefered to keep the news quiet. He wishes for us to regain our self determination and free soul, and for that reason he has removed himself from the day to day workings of the world. The Provisional Government made up of the clan leaders is running the nation, rebuilding the damage of the war and dissassemble years of neo-imperialist cultural poisioning to our worlds. Once that is accomplished the government will break up, and individual clans will rule over themselves once more."
"A long process," Kusei said quietly, "And we still have debts to pay."
"That is your own interpretation Kusei, but remember there could well become a time when we must call upon you to shed that imperial cloak you've grown so accustom to." The old man winked at his granddaughter, “So what mission have you been given now… a hunt I hope.”
Kusei nodded, “I’m suppose to track down and watch a woman called Freya Starsinger.”
“Well then, it is a hunt, and may it be a challenging one,” Ari answered with a smile.
