He kissed Maki back and picked up the phone. He took a deep breath and dialed the number quickly and tried not to hang up the phone as it rang.

she rubbed her eyes as she finished pulling on her robe "hello?" she yawned as she answered the phone

"Hi mom..... Um me and the others were wondering if you and dad wanted to go to the park for a family get together?" He fought the urge to bit his nails.
He grunted and spoke in a sleep ridden voice, "Who is it?"

"it's Nate, they were all wondering if we would like to go to the park for a family gathering" she smiled softly "what do you say dear? I think Id be wonderful to see them again"

"This early, are they crazy?" He sighed.
"Its the only time the girls can go. They have a bit of an odd schedule." He covered so his parents didn't have to know yet what he was actually living with.

He hung up the phone an sighed. He was going to be tense for a while. His dad sounded cranky.
He groaned again as he got up to get ready.

"our schedules were off for a wile when he was a baby" she smiled softly as she started to get dressed
he set the soccer ball on the counter and took Nate in his arms "so.. are my lovely inlaws coming?"

"Yes but dad isn't happy. I woke them up and he sounded cranky." He leaned into Maki and rested his head on Makis shoulder.
"But we didn't invite people over at odd hours of the morning."
