The only way that technique would work is if Apollo is already dead. Thats the requisit for that little bit of puppetry, the shinobi has to be dead before hand.
And Chess would do that only to keep Apollo(even if he was dead) with her ._. Cause if he died she'd probably snap.
Chessa would probably kill anyone who attacked Apollo anyways. She care about Nash and Apollo with Apollo being the more important <3
