Lady Blodwynn Caleidah I like how Winnie's picture, even while less overtly sexualized than the other one linked, has a stance traditionally used with sexualized characters. The buckled knees, feet somewhat splayed. Heh. Agreed, that's one of the two things I don't like about the image. The other thing is "PMS" written on the pauldrons. Totall missed that.

Those Truescale marines are looking slick, Mac. What kind of quality were the kits when you got them?

Caleidah Those Truescale marines are looking slick, Mac. What kind of quality were the kits when you got them? So far high quality, hardly any cleaning or scouring needed, no bent parts, though some care should be taken with removing the parts from the mega thick sprues, it is a bit brittle.

The company you ordered 'em from, is it just loyalist Marines or do they have traitor parts?

Caleidah The company you ordered 'em from, is it just loyalist Marines or do they have traitor parts? They have plans to do traitor bits, but for now they want to expand on their loyalist line by providing heads and arms, the two things these kits miss as of right now. Had to buy a command squad boxed set for the missing parts. sweatdrop

I'm not an Astartes player, plus I had a Maelstrom discount, so it all worked out all right.

Sir Kyle Aziz I never understood that weird fascination of sexualizing armour for females.. Sure you can have it form fitting like the SoB and still have it show off sexuality but you don't need to turn it into an armoured bikini... According to what I heard, even Sororitas armor is a little weird, because it has the chest molded to fit. Supposedly this would cause the wearer's bones to break if they were to fall forward. But, one can always pretend that the Sister's breastplate is smoother on the inside to more evenly distribute pressure, and the cups on the armor are purely cosmetic, to reinforce their image as women to further appease that treaty or whatever that forbids the Ecclesiarchy from having "men under arms." Edit: Finally figured out how to denote possessive with the term, "Sisters of Battle," which was simply to use the word, "Sororitas."

I bought that squad of truescale marines from Chapter House Studios, an they turned out pretty cool. I also bought some of the heads and shoulders and a Salamanders power fist that they sold. Nice stuff. Another place to get good bits and figs is Puppetswar.eu. They just came out with a cool set of cherubs that would go great with a Grey Knights or Sisters of Battle army.

So what's the consensus on the new Stormtalons? When I think of them as aerial dreadnoughts, I actually like them a lot, and think that they'd help augment a high-speed force with greater firepower.
