Anna Walker -I- Techno-Tuner -I- He's getting protection from the stone until Shiva shows up. If the stone can't deflect the "lightsaber" then it's not very powerful, it withstands against all physical attacks. But again, that's until Shiva shows up, then my character doesn't have that. Ah.
Well, not necessarily. Lightsabers are known to cut through pretty much anything. Diamond is touted as the hardest substance on earth, but lasers can cut it. Even still, this fact doesn't negate its reputation for being the hardest natural known substance on the planet. Same with, say, the Hokage. He was reputable as beast, but he was still taken down by old age and the sealing jutsu. This doesn't make him any less of a person. Are you following me?
I'm not saying you should change it or anything, I'm just making a point. Or something. Who knows.

gonk I can see what you mean about it cutting through 'natural' elements, but certainly it would go without saying that the 'magical' powers of the stone (which were created by a powerful being) shouldn't be able to be dispelled so easily by a weapon that isn't even a Zan. If that's the case than that weapon is somewhat way too overpowered in my opinion.

I don't believe Anna was trying to say the weapon should be able to cut through the barriers, she was instead providing reason for why the stone would still remain powerful if it could. As for the magical argument, well, the lightsaber was constructed in the Seireitei, so it has some magical elements to it just the same. Regardless, lightsaber no cutty barrier-chan; fine with me~
It appears to me that her initial statement was a mixture of shock and confusion in regards to the repeated use of the barrier, which she was clearly unaware of beforehand.
But then again, she's only my twin sister, so what do I know?! scream
