No, because it's easier for everyone to figure out what's going on. It was something that was talked about by one or two of us.
And Mariana, there is a time for insanity, and a time for being serious. When two characters, as well as an NPC character, lives are at stake, do you really think it's appropriate for your character to SUDDENLY not be mentally sound?

Has anyone ever noticed how rediculous Pyro's costume is?

Characters should always be written within their personal boundries. If you read Siona, she doesn't shut the hell up and is already making Deadpool like comments in the face of Mystique's guns... but you have to keep in mind that if they are vocally off the wall, their team leaders probably will take issue with it.

I realize that LJ Carlos is practically Spider-man. He cracks jokes and likes to look into a mirror with his powers active to feel like he's laughing at death. XD

I'd say that my character is mainly serious, and even more so with lives at stake. But hey! Who'd believe me with a signature like mine?

Actually, in game, lives are at stake.
Don't mistake what you know OOC, and what your character knows.
If the X-men are taking this threat seriously, everyone else should be too.
Just because things usually turn out all right does not meant that they always will... Not to mention that any characters at this point should be prepared for a hard fight.
The silly headings can come back later, but for organizational purposes they need to be simple for now. It's nice that everyone enjoys them, but it really wasn't a request that everyone put the silliness on hold. I think if the team leaders will notice that they aren't taking the state of their own lives seriously...
The three teams ARE risking life and limb.

We understand, we just like our little joking around. I'm sure when it comes down to posting, everyone's gonna follow the rule. This is too much of an awesome guild to risk getting kicked out. And it's not as fun if you stay in your OOC frame of mind and act like you know all of the turn-outs of things.

Oh, Carlos, I know. Evie probably will have a bad pun or a joke somewhere along the line. It's in her nature. BUT one shouldn't take it personally OOC if Scott/Emma/Rogue tell them to straighten up IC. I mean look at Wolverine... his quips are hilarious in the face of battle.
I think what folks are saying is that the characters themselves should probably take things a little more seriously than they did in the last arc wink

Yes I will follow the rules and yes Carlos will be serious, but he will still be Carlos and he will still crack jokes, mostly about how blob failed the Richards Simmons plan, or call Toad a tadpole. His Attitude will change come certain events *cough seeing Mr. Stone Cough* but until that actual moment he's still going to be his morally bankrupt and sardonic self.

Of course. Changing the character's personality completely would just be wrong and against the idea of story telling.
The point was more to eliminate the OOC silly in the post in the form of headings and to not make a character ridiculous for the sake of making them ridiculous especially if it makes them out of character.
