((it's probably the differences in the way we're imagining it. In my image, I can clearly see the movements, but the way you image yourself throwing me might have me all out of position for it...))

[hp before attack = 7]

Dodge:
+17(21)/Autododge

Shunketsu saw the attack coming. He saw the power behind it. He attempted to dodge it, but his body wouldn't move.
Move! Come on! MOVE!!
Shunketsu's leg resumed movement, but it was too late. Shunketsu took a heavy blow to the gut, although the last-second movement should've taken off a little bit of damage. The punch itself sent Shunketsu flying out of melee range, so Tsai couldn't perform his elbow attack if he wanted to. Shunketsu, even though his adrenaline hid it from him, was at his limit. His body was slow to respond if it did at all.

After rolling around a while, Shunketsu slowly stood up, spit to the side and glared at Tsai. Shunketsu was barely able to stand, but he wasn't done, not yet. He must get stronger. Shunketsu couldn't really believe that he hasn't even been able to harm one hair on Tsai's head.

"not yet...I can still FIGHT!"

*with that, Shunketsu gathered whatever strength he had left and rushed in. At that point, he was injured to a point that it seemed more like a jog than an actual run. With one last-ditch attempt, Shunketsu threw a punch for Tsai's face.*

Attack:
+4(15)
Tsai Mule generated a random number between 3 and 6 ... 3!

The pace of the spar was getting slower and slower as Tsai landed more and more hits on Shunketsu. The shinigami was at his limit but if boundaries aren't broken, new ones will not be created. Tsai stood where he was as Shunketsu approached. He then took a few steps to the side casually as the fist came by his face.

Dodge:
+20[Autododged]

Tsai kicked at Shunketsu's side from where he was standing twice hopefully this would end the spar.

Attack:
+8[22]/+5[19]

Nagi had noticed one shinigami standing alone, he or she (Nagi couldn't tell..who could?) obviously was dressed like a noble. "Pft, nobles think there all that," Nagi snorted. "Hey you there! Girly man!" he shouted to Megumi.

"Stop being lazy and get your a** over here," Nagi shouted across the sparring grounds to Megumi who seemed to be in a daze. Nagi already knew the name of this individual another target of interest of the teachers like Tsai, Kaosu and Ran. "One gets his a** kicked, two have anger issues of some sort to work out, and this one...I don't even wanna know," Nagi looked at the two groups to his side. "Ran, you be his..or her sparring partner.." he looked unsure but wrote down something on the magazine. "Since you have passed the hakuda phase, I think you two should move onto using zanjutsu and hakuda, tell me the results," he commented as he finished up the note.

There's a brief moment when he's spoken to, that he closes his eyes, and a soft breeze flutters around him..making what seem to be the remnants of leaves float about his body in a circle. It's almost like a dust devil, with old leaves. Still, it's of no consequence. He stands slowly, the breeze blowing his uniform around slightly, as well as his hair. The young man with the off-color eyes tips his head, before stepping forward. He's got his actual sword at his side, and he's not setting it down just yet. There's a moment where he turns and shifts his head towards Nagi..then he smiles, and speaks gently..

"Very well, sensei. I will see what comes of this. I think it will be interesting. Since I've cleared through the normal zanjutsu classes, should we use our real weapons in this battle?"

He's quiet, to be sure. Calm. In fact, some might say he's unnervingly calm..it's like since the attack happened, something in him has definitely changed..but instead of losing resolve, it's like he's formed one, finally.

"Yeah..yeah.. go ahead," he wavered off to Megumi. Nagi seemed to have a dislike for nobles even though they really didn't do anything to him. He just didn't like their way of life being all snobby and well-mannered. Nagi flipped through the pages of his magazine as he watched the other spars.

Shiru stepped lightly onto Sokyoku Hill, peering all over the area for the sensei of the class.
Why did it feel like he was always one of the last people to show up and be yelled for it?
He glanced down to a neatly folded piece of paper and looked around at the people there.
Finally, he spotted someone whom matched the description on the paper.
Yes, the person was short, looked like the sensei, and had a yo-yo in their hand.
Shiru stepped over to the sensei and bowed deeply.
"My deepest appologies, Nagi-sensei. I was recently admitted to the Academy just a little while ago and they told me to wait for a day or so before actually coming. I guess maybe I should've shown up earlier. I ask for your forgiveness."
He stood up straight and nodded to the sensei.
"I heard from those same people that we're sparrng with our classmates today, is that correct, Nagi-sensei?"
Shiru kept his arms at his sides as he spoke to his new sensei.
He didn't want to be rude or arrogant in front of him when he first met him.

Ran seemed to stiffen where she sat on the edge of the hill, watching the world go by below her. At hearing her name, she rose and turned, coming face to face with Nagi, and... Megumi.

Cursing softly under her breath, she strode forward, moving to meet up with the other student. Megumi was a he, she knew that well enough. She'd seen him without his shirt, knew that he wasn't girly.

"He. Not she," the way she stated it was both casual, and almost intimate, before her eyes narrowed just a little at hearing Megumi's request to use their full zanpaktou. Didn't he know that probably wasn't a very safe thing to do? Especially with other people around. Not like she could use her release powers yet, just the form itself.

"Aoibara-senpai," her voice quiet and formal, as she bowed just slightly. There was something different in her as well. She wasn't disdainful, but, it was the best way for her to deal with this. She hadn't expected to fight him, before talking to him. She squared off then, adjusting her zanpaktou in her obi.

You can only do what you're ordered to.

"I've been waiting for this, you know. It's been something I've thought about since that day in the blossoms..since that day when we ran into that thing that almost cost us our lives. I think destiny was inexplicably crossed..those threads of fate, yours and mine. Fate is what determines the path itself, but how we walk it..that is freedom. Still, it seems fate now, doesn't it? A fate I've been waiting for."

He smiles quietly, that soft breeze ever so gently blowing around him, and he bows...before coming back up.

"Just remember. Don't be afraid to fight me as you would a real enemy. Neither of us is fated to die here, so I'm not afraid at all. Most don't know you well enough to know how you'll act..but..you aren't frightening to me. I trust you."

And so saying, he draws his sword, the leaves swirling around him rapidly, before the wind goes quiet..and he stabs the blade into the ground.

"I haven't attended much in the way of Hakuda class yet, so I will be fighting with only hands at first. Feel free to use any method you desire against me at this time. I will see if my family's skills are as excellent as they have been since their beginning."

And he shifts into a stance..*that* stance..spreading his feet apart, with his hand up straight..his other arm bent and at the side..he's planning on using that technique..

"EH!!!? You think just because your new you can be late?" he looked furious. "Whatever, stay around here and wait for someone else to come, we are currently out of students to pair you up with," he said now calm, it was quite random but Nagi was a random guy. He slung his yo-yo down as it spun. Nagi was getting bored, none of the fights were even half interesting, he hoped that at least one of them would stand out soon.

Ran listened to him, and for a moment, she waivered, before eyes closed, and she bowed her head, seemingly quivering from head to toe. She sighed for a moment, and then one by one, she pulled her swords, stabbing them into the ground as well. When she spoke, it was with impecible manners, not her usual slang. She'd never spoken to him like that. Not since they'd gotten closer.

"Fate. Is there such a thing? I don't know. You're asking me to believe in you, and I don't know if I can. What's worse is you're asking me to believe in myself," her fingers tensed down at her sides, and when she lifted her head, after he said he trusted her, unshed tears shone in her eyes, before she blinked, and they were gone.

"Whatever you want, Megumi.." and she fell into a similar stance, almost his mirror opposite, hand straight, the other arm bent and at the side. Her feet were spread, and her knees were a little more together. There was something strangely fitting about it, one could say. She'd watched him during his own training, and bit by bit, taught herself to mimic him. It had showed in her fight with Karite, and it showed now.

"Thank you," and she launched forward, her hands striking out at him, one hand, and then the other, her movements fluid, and precise. She had learned well, if nothing else. Her movements had no give, only take, as the look in her eyes veiled over. She didn't seem too intent on talking, more so on fighting.

Shiru smiled and turned towards the spars.
This new sensei was a litle random, but that made things all the more interesting.
He wasn't exactly sure how he'd stack up against these people.
This was especially becasue it looke like he was the newest person there.
"Actually sensei, just because I'm new, I believe I should get introuble for something once, and get that over with. That way, I'm not the perfect student in means of behavior."
Shiru crossed his arms and closed his eyes, smiling.

(Dodge: 12+20 = 32 / 3+20 = 23)
Attack: 8+13 = 21 / 11+10 = 21)

She'd gotten faster. He could tell that, but in using the style, she was still flawed. He hadn't taughter the finer points, secrets that only he knew, and as such, all she could do is mimic the style..not actually use it. He had a feeling he'd be struck, but her hands were just her hands. The first blow she swung at him was simply slapped away, though he knew the second would come. He hadn't focused enough. Still, it would give him a good idea of how she moved in adaptation. he spun on the strike to himself, his face showing no pain at all, despite it.

The first thing he did, before he spun, was jab his fingers right towards her midsection, and spinning halfway, his opposing hand would move to jab at the side of the woman's neck, on the left side. This would place him in the same stance as before with that momentum, after the strikes were made. It was apparent while he didn't have her ambidexterity, he had vast flexibility..though his hands also didn't have the pale glow to them yet. He hadn't truly begun.

Nagi, highly irritated rolled his magazine into a cyclinder shape and smacked Shiru at the back of the head for talking back. "Did I say you could talk!? Did I!?" he unrolled his magazine and continued to read from it. "b*****d, I'd get Ran to kick his a** as well if she wasn't busy, maybe Tsai, Haro or Kaosu after they were done" He began musing to himself.

Shiru smiled and continued to watch the spars.
Maybe their sensei had a bit of an anger problem with everyone.
Well, either way, he got yelled at that easily.
It'd probably be easier for him if he simply grinned and beared it.
Shiru knew the sensei would do something to him later, but oh well.
Everyone got something against them sooner or later so maybe it's better if it's sooner.
Besides, his sensei being pissed off at him meant harder training, and harder training would mean Shiru could get better, faster.
